  1. Well I was close at 15.1 mil for cap space left. Nice to see an actual number updated
  2. I mean if they liked what they saw the last 10 games, what they see in practice and his improvements then why not? It would put him about 8th or so paid tackle. If we could get him to 18 mil then it is around or outside the top 10. Thing is, give him the 20 mil average but make all the signing bonus etc up front now. He is counting 17 mil already, use that and back end it so the last year or 2 he is able to be cut. If by year 3 or 4 he ain't worth that salary, then extend him or rework it. This way we pay 18 mil a year for the first 3 years or 4 and go from there.
  3. What I thought, he improved and was above average to say the least. This year, if he keeps it going, he will show his worth.
  4. I don't know many that said God tier. Most were saying what they are now. He is not elite but improved. We spent money on him for the trade, give him this year and possibly tag again next year. He was above average and with the whole line being new, he improved. Average at best? I would love to see his game by game ratings to show this.
  5. If he shows he is worth it, we will keep him at a good price. I dont mind paying him as it would be worth the line continuity and protection of PM. To pay him though so we don't create a hole is not worth it. If we can upgrade, then we need to do so at said time. We did go hard after Trent Williams, so I do not see Veach standing pat just to do so.
  6. Better not overpay for another DE like Clark though. I think DT will be priority in draft for replacing Jones down the line. Also need another FA type in case he cut as his due payments will get large soon.
  7. If he does not do well as a pass blocker, there are some hungry run blocking teams in need of a LT. Get another pick and trade his ass then.
  8. I believe after Chenal, the draft picks dont count on the cap until they make the 53 man roster. With this said, we had roughly 10.7 mil after signings and 4.4 mil then from Ingram gives us roughly 15.1 mil in cap space. Also what was nice about Ingram is at the time if the trade, it allowed us to move Jones back to DT. Ingram was good for that move alone, but I think we will do better with K at DE now and even better as the season goes along. Go grab another DT and/or DE from FA or cuts.
  9. It was said earlier, he is tajing6 a chance as are the Chiefs for a tagged 1 year play. Chiefs though it is smart imo. If he plays well, then he can justify a 20 mil contract. If not, he can leave if he does not like our offering and get a good comp or we can tag again and trade as he still will then be worth about what he is asking yearly average. Let him play it out, unless he if course signs for 16 to 17 mil beforehand.
  10. Well it worked so well with Jones.... seriously he can spot play there, but what happens if he is not good or just average? Then our LT is weak as well as the LG replacement most likely in place of Thuney who is great there already.
  11. Well at least he will count now in the compensation formula for picks next year. We still have cuts and a few vets to go after. Not to worried about it I think K will do special things but we do need some depth just in case too. Also next year it will be DT and DE we need in FA and/or the draft for sure as it sits now.
  12. 13-4. I see us splitting chargers. I also think we lose to either Cincy or Rams as we play them back to back weeks. One more game in the early schedule and possibly the last week of the season if we sit people against Raiders, which would drop it to 12-5.
  13. Yes the UFA tender is 110% of last years salary of 4 million.
  14. Houston is in the same boat as Ingram was for us. They will have right to offer more with the tag they gave him.
  15. He might just get a prove it 1 year deal now. How many teams have cap space left that would or could sign him?
  16. #Chiefs LB Leo Chenal says he'll be taking all of the MIKE linebacker reps at rookie minicamp to learn the position and calls. He thinks he'll end up playing SAM when all is said and done.
  17. Not by a long shot. He cost nothing much at all. Remember some of the high priced free agents that did shit for us? Kendrell Bell, Ban Morris, mcglokton. Also the one that shall not be named etc.
  18. They may find a true 1 WR this year. We need DT and DE next year to be ready for Clark, Ingram being gone and possibly CJ the year after.
  19. He has all the money needed now to live a comfortable life. Who would not want this to be able to get ahead with a degree and able to pay off a house etc. 5 years, mostly on ps and he made exactly $569,118
  20. as i see it now, his ceiling will be #2 next year, unless we resign Schuster....then #3.
  21. Devonte Adams ran a 4.56 I think we will be fine if this guy can run great routes.
  22. He runs great routes. He high points the ball and his 10 1/4 inch hands are huge. Also the fact he has 31 inch arms as a receiver will be great. Couple that with a 34.5 vertical and you can see why he should flourish here. That is an almost 81 inch radius going up. Mahomes should not have to over throw him at all.
  23. He is playing with fire too. One bad injury and his value plummets.
  24. Kick all tires they can. Don't know about this guy at all though.
