I think having a secondary to hold up a bit longer is better than a d line that can get their first. Why? Because we have seen when our rush gets there and the opposing offense then just runs shorter routes or throws a 3 step quick pass etc. Brady carves up teams doing this. I also know the other way that a d line can carry the secondary by getting there faster too. So what I think we did was get the secondary up to speed for the WRs we will face and improve our de depth and talent. Also I think we do go after a DT and another DE down the line. If you look at the picks, the best value was secondary a lot of times with us picking as DE already had a huge run on that position. Just my thoughts.

We will get Ingram. Let Clark prove he can rush from the left side, if not put GK there. Ingram and Clark need to be fresh for the playoffs too. I bet we get a TC cut at DE and DT still. I would not put it past Veach to make a dline trade too. Just have to let some if these scenarios play out.

Tackling was a sorely missed thing last year. Many times we whiffed and it resulted in a first down or extending the drive for a td etc. I want the type that lives to hit and to do it well with wrapping up etc.

Chiefs upgraded in the FA period by getting cap space, picks that were used this year and picks for next year with cap space still available. The downgrade we had was one player, a huge ine in Hill, but out WR core as a group did get much better. If these picks pan out, we will have hit a home run for sure.

Teams and especially in the West have been going smaller and faster. We are again one step ahead and we will wear down those guys as we also protect our QB.

Our RT help or competition Pre-Draft Analysis Kinnard primarily lined up at right tackle at Kentucky, but he projects better at guard than tackle in the NFL. He's a massive mauler who is one of the strongest blockers in this class; he pushes around defenders in the run game. He is late delivering his punch and doesn't mirror well, but he anchors fine, and his long arms and wide frame make it tough to get around him. -- Steve Muench

Pre-Draft Analysis Williams is a tall press corner who has long arms and turns to locate the ball when he's in phase. He's a little tight and gives up some separation at the top of routes, but he flashes the ability to recover. He has a wide catching radius and high-points the ball. He's lean and drops some passes, but he closes well and flashes above-average stopping power in run support and after the catch. -- Steve Muench

well maybe 3rd this year, but all 3 will be depth and get a years experience in for the next year when they become starters as those they are competing with will be most likely gone ahead of them to FA. CB will be a starter. LB he will be a starter when they use 3 lb on the field. S will be after Thornhill leaves for sure, but I bet by mid to late season will take over the position.

I would definitely take Dane Bolton if there in the 7th. He is in the same mold as Armani Hooker was at Iowa.

this is the guy they showed on nfl network. i am sure someone will draft him in say the 5th or 6th. We have other uses for our picks by then. 7th rounder.... sure, if he is there.
