  1. In 2019, Collins signed a five-year, $50 million contract extension that carried guaranteed money into this season, however, a five-game suspension last year for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy voided the $6.48 million in guarantees. He is scheduled to make $10 million this season if he remains on the team's roster, with a cap hit of $15.25 million. Over the past two seasons, Collins missed 21 of 33 games to injury or suspension. He did not play in 2020 because of hip surgery and started 10 of the 12 games he played in 2022. Collins signed with the Cowboys in 2015 as an undrafted free agent after circumstances saw him go from a first-round selection to not being selected at all after his name was connected to a murder investigation. The Cowboys landed him after a dinner at Jerry Jones' house in which he was joined by coaches and soon-to-be teammate. He began his career at left guard but missed 13 games in 2016 because of a toe injury that required surgery. In 2017, he moved to right tackle and started 47 of 48 games. He had his best season in 2019, but his productivity has suffered since he injured his hip. Need to do our due diligence on this guy for sure.
  2. My response was to the post that he would not be happy getting half the targets. I said this that if they guy is on a team that continues to win and be in the hunt, if not win another SB, he would be happy. I am not advocating for a trade, though if it happens, I would not be pissed about it. Just have to wait and see if we get D line help, S/CB in FA. If we do, a trade would not be that bad. We can use the remaining picks on areas of need like DE, which is loaded this draft for the future. Hell, I heard Fletcher Cox may be available. If we could grab him, trade for Metcalf and use our 2nd and two thirds on S/CB and DE this would be awesome. I know, cap space etc but we had 47 dollars at one point and Veach signed Kelce, Mahomes, etc that year. I am just spitballing of course.
  3. Because another team might trade then extend him. Also Seattle still has him for a year if no good trades come in, then possibility of tagging him for a year or two. That wait one year could easily never happen or become 3 years before he is available.
  4. Heard an interesting possibility of the Eagles trading Fletch Cox on NFL network show. I think if we resign Ingram and draft a DE, we would be great to have Cox on this line for a few years. Cant double up on CJ anymore all the time this way. Of course the price may be to high, but man it would help our interior pass rush which helps the edge rushers too.
  5. Was going to post about Collins too. He seems like a guy we could use in the box and near the scrimmage type like HB did.
  6. Saffold cut by titans. Wonder if he could do anything at rt? https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/33468913/titans-release-pro-bowl-g-rodger-saffold-per-source
  7. Unless that below average LT makes a few mistakes that gets the franchise QB injured. Rather protect our QB than having below average line like we did in the SB. We all saw how that worked out.
  8. Jordan Hicks released from Cardinals. 29 year old LB. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/33462824/source-arizona-cardinals-releasing-starting-lb-jordan-hicks
  9. Maybe Seattle ships us theirs they got from themselves and Denver hehehe, one can wish.
  10. He is depth, nothing more unless he proves to become the WR he once was in TC.
  11. Thing is, was he all these at the end of the year? What I saw was him bitching out players when they missed assignments only to just put his hands on the hip when he did it himself. He was physically shying away from contact and seemed to have slowed a step. Being smart is great and understanding the defense, but if he can't get to his spots in time to make tackles.....well that is a waste then.
  12. No, huge win. I believe his downward slide in his play has begun. We cant afford to pay players 30 years plus, at certain positions, premium money and expect to retain others. This will lead to possibly a comp pick and we can use this money to sign other areas of need. Now, I know it will suck to lose his leadership and knowledge of the defense, but others will have to pick up this role. We are in already for a few years of this defense, so it wont be to bad to have someone know it well enough to do this role. Also the fact we can use the draft/FA for a younger player wont be so bad, especially if the cost is right.
  13. Why I think we back load it, get that FA WR and possibly one other needed spot too. Then go into a loaded draft for D line, CB and WR. WR is so deep I think we still pick one up to learn as the vet FA is a one year rental.
  14. Bet they back end this and free up more money this year.
  15. Would be nice add as he is only 27. I don't really know how he has done since his injury. His route running is excellent with good speed. Drops though can be an issue.
  16. Be a good way of demoting Bienemy without the back lash. Might actually pop the big head of his if rumors were true.
  17. Believe so because he was not there the next year Mahomes took over.

  19. Chiefs hire Matt Nagy back per scroll on tv
  20. Signing Geoff Schwartz a Good Start, but Giants Still Have Work to Do on O-Line This was in 2014. Having another Schwarts on our team just thru me off trying to remember his name.
