  1. Signing Geoff Schwartz a Good Start, but Giants Still Have Work to Do on O-Line This was in 2014. Having another Schwarts on our team just thru me off trying to remember his name.
  2. We also got Remmers initially on a 1 year deal. Not great but he helped out a lot.
  3. Wiesnewski, he signed a 1 year deal and then went to Steelers only to return back to us. I cannot remember that mid season starter though on the line that we all wanted back but he signed elsewhere. I thought it was the Giants but could have been philly.
  4. That linemen was a mid season pick up too. God it was not Schwartz but I cannot recall his name. I mean I am giving you what to remember. Maybe you can Google compensation picks and who we took, then figure out for who it was for and if a 1 year deal. I am done trying to do legwork.
  5. Right off the top if my head that lineman who went to the Giants I believe? He did well here and many wanted him resigned. I just can't think of his name. Not chiefs, but a 1 year deal that turned to a great run for a team was Kurt Warner and Arizona. He signed a 1 year deal, out played Leinart and too them to a SB. Just an example I can think of. I followed Warner because I went to school with him.
  6. 1 year deals are a real thing. It just happens a guy makes good on the deal and signs big elsewhere. We then get a comp pick for it. It works out for us either way. I am sure there are examples of many 1 year guys who hit it big in contract or doing well for playing after a deal like this.
  7. I like Robinson, who never had a QB in Chicago, too. Think he may be the best of the bunch imo.
  8. You can cut him now and designate it, but the money/cap won't be available to the chiefs until June 1st.
  9. Believe it was the WR out of Atlanta that was cut. I know Williams and Breeland signed 1 year deals before but they did extend afterwards, just not long term. Honestly can't think of any 1 year deals that led to long term extension of a home run type deal.
  10. Don't know for sure if this goes here or not, but who or what position should we target? I think DE is a must before the draft if possible. DE along with DB though are deep in upcoming draft. DE we should resign Ingram and maybe a one year gap in Von Miller. Jones from Arizona would be sweet if one can dream. WR we probably go to a vet too instead of waiting for the pick to get the offense down. Of course Ju Ju or some have said the Atlanta WR, along with Goodwin could be targeted or even Robinson from Chicago. I like Robinson, he has done so much without a real qb. I think he would thrive with us. DB, S and LB need to be addressed also. DB we have just skated by on but now is the time to invest a pick here. LB, middle could be had for depth or on the cheap like Josey Jewell. S really depends on HB, but I would not mind letting him go and find his replacement else where. Bates maybe from cincy? We can have the money for FAs with Mahomes contract redone, Clark gone and Hitchens gone. Off the top if my head that is 28 mil or so right there. Any other FA names that can come in that you can think of or to watch it for? With FA fast approaching on the legal period from 14 to 16 March with new year starting 16 March at 4 pm eastern. Link below has a list of top FA and what to expect they will get. https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-2022-free-agent-rankings-free-agency
  11. And some of those mentioned were 6th round type picks... I mean this is where you go for a project types or ones with huge upsides etc.
  12. So get rid of all special teams players because no one ever punts on 4th downs now? The guy was a good special teams player that earned his spot. He fucked up, we move on. Not like it will be hard to find another ST player.
  13. If he did well with Donald, he could do well with CJ. I would bring him in and let us draft a later DE in the draft. One that can learn and play without having to be a starter right away. Also gives us flexibility in the draft if we can fill some of these holes now.
  14. Not really. SF will have a new qb. Rams are in cap space hell. TB without Brady. Chargers are a split. Sweep Denver and Raiders. I think Titans and Bills will be a split Jax....lol Arizona will falter as always. Indy may be a rough one and I think Bengals fall back to earth plus we will want to beat them badly. Seattle is a shell of a team and who knows if Wilson will even be there.
  15. A lot of troops over there too. They would love to see a football game.
  16. Traditional hand off runs, I want to see more, but we do pass the ball plenty to set up a run out of the back field. If we took the number of screens or balls passed at or behind the line of scrimmage, I bet we would see plenty more 'runs' from our offense. I do agree, I wish we would line up and pound the rock traditionally at times though. The play action would be deadly......
  17. I hope we don't go back to 3-4 and waste another year or so getting people in their places.
  18. No, I can't figure out why this site just does not work for me at times. I tried to delete the space but for christ sakes it crashes on me even trying to reply to post
  19. Will find the link but saw it pop up on phone. They checked out Shane Ray, former 1st rounder of the Broncos. https://www.profootballrumors.com/2022/02/chiefs-work-out-shane-ray-justin-watson
  20. 3 for 18 would be fine by me. He will prove his worth the first year with Mahomes. He may want to try just 1 year but learning Reids system and possibly getting hurt again could work against him too
  21. To much imo. He was staying away from hitting people as almost timid on Sunday. Use his money we don't have to pay and Clark's money among others and resign our own and get the fa we need and go into the draft ti get the rest.
