  1. Chiefs added Reed too. Huge plus for run defense which is the area we sucked at big time.
  2. Well I posted on this before. I thought his money became guaranteed if the season started as one article stated. Then all I have been reading is that the money can be recouped easily and not guaranteed if he is in fact suspended. So I am going with him losing money if he gets suspended at any time. Read below that also was cited in the article above. One such default clause on most NFL contracts is that guaranteed money will void if a player violates the personal conduct policy of the NFL. ... If the NFL suspends Clark due to the guidelines in the personal conduct policy, the remaining guarantees on his contract are void.
  3. Kc defense secondary is weak after HB? We lost only one person from last year and had others stepping up plus some talent that did not play much. I think we will be fine. Cam won't don't shit, imo. They will be mediocre like last year and will wait to start their rookie qb at the right time. They loaded up on receiver/te will help the rookie more than cam imo. Chargers have talent, always have but can never get it together. With a new coach and tape on the QB for his second year, we will have to wait and see. They have a lot of history to overcome as they are always billed to win it. Indy had a good qb last year, better than Wentz, how did they do again? Browns may be one to watch for. They have the playoff monkey off their back. I could see them crash and burning though too.
  4. Well to be honest you use the clip to load the magazine. I was infantry too among other MOSs for almost 25 years.
  5. If the NFL puts him in the suspended list, they can cut him. That is all that is needed to save the cap space.
  6. Is it wean or wein? I mean if you are weaning off small weiners..... more power to you!
  7. The commissioner needs to put him on the exempt list before the start of the season or they will have to pay him no matter what this year, from what I see above. Looking forward into the Chiefs and how things will play out for them, the Personal Conduct Policy gives the NFL commissioner the ability to put Clark on the Commissioner Exempt list. However, if the case is not solved before the 2021 season, the Chiefs are to pay out the $18.5 million that he is owed regardless if he is playing or not.
  8. Well I wonder if he can be cut then without cap space being hit due to this?
  9. What? I was saying that I will wait and see on our run defense. That every year we get someone like say Hitchens, we thought we would improve on it. I will wait and see because ours is still atrocious.
  10. Well even getting our run defense to average would be a huge improvement don't you think?
  11. Every time we feel we made a difference, our D still gets ran on. I will wait and see.
  12. I mean you get drafted highly and want to play ball. Injured all but 7 games his first year and having cam the 2nd. Then the team goes out and gets more receivers and 2 TEs? I can see his point in wanting to go to a team and play rather than sit on a bench.
  13. I like this because if it works out, you cut Clark next year. Use that money to resign or extend Nnadi and Reed. Then we have plenty of DE we can see this year and either go FA or draft for one if need be. Gives us a lot of options as we can always move CJ back to dt too.
  14. I like the part of CJ being a DE now. https://chiefswire.usatoday.com/2021/07/05/kansas-city-chiefs-chris-simms-jarran-reed-chris-jones-nfl-quarterback-runs-play-action-passes/?utm_campaign=trueAnthem_manual&utm_medium=trueAnthem&utm_source=facebook One offseason move by the Kansas City Chiefs has largely gone unnoticed, but at least one national analyst is beginning to pay attention. NBC Sports’ Chris Simms joined Michael Holley on Monday’s guest edition of Football Morning in America (FMIA) while columnist Peter King is on vacation. During their conversation, Holley asked Simms to name a league trend that he expected would be something that everyone will be talking about over the next couple of years. Simms spoke about how NFL defenses will be adjusting to handle quarterback runs, speed sweeps and the play-action passing game. He evoked what the Chiefs have done this offseason, specifically the free-agent signing of former Seattle Seahawks DT Jarran Reed, as a sign of how he expects NFL defenses to adjust. So the signing of Reed doesn’t just allow the Chiefs to play Chris Jones on the edge more frequently, but it’ll entirely change the complexion of the defense. Remember, stopping the run is an area where Kansas City has struggled, even during their Super Bowl-winning season. If this strategy works, you might see fewer “small” sub-packages from the Chiefs with an extra linebacker or defensive back in the box. Instead, it’ll allow them more flexibility to do different things in the secondary, an area where defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo has been known to be creative. This also signals a paradigm shift in NFL thinking on the defensive side of the ball. Recently teams have opted for that extra defender in the box who can match the athleticism of tight ends, running backs and so on. Simms feels that the defenses who rely too heavily on those types of players will be left at a disadvantage when it comes to defending the quarterback run and the play-action passing game. As a result, we’ll see more teams going big upfront to allow themselves the most play-to-play flexibility on the defensive side of the ball. “The game is about being game-plan specific now,” Simms said. “The days of saying, ‘We do what we do’ are over. Unless you have that once-every-few-years defense that is stacked.” It sure is an interesting thought from Simms. The Chiefs haven’t necessarily been at the precipice of defensive innovation over the past several years, at least in the way that they have on offense, so this would be a welcomed change. We’ll see how much the Chiefs utilize that “big” defensive front with Reed, Nnadi and Jones during the upcoming 2021 NFL season. We’ll also see if this actually becomes a trend throughout the rest of the league.
  15. Quit knifing through everything with such a sharp edge. We need to slash out these puns for sure.
  16. DEs can be had later to develop, some slip too from time to time. Not all go early. Also look at FA ones. You can also put Jones there and resign Reed, Nnadi etc in the middle. Plenty of options. Trade value say would say a 4th imo as per my post.
  17. Trade his ass if we must. Take the cap hit you would do with the trade and maybe what would be next year up to a certain amount. Make it enticing to get him traded for a 4th round pick or some shit. Be done with him and wait for training camp cuts or a FA now like Houston yo sign. Next year draft a DE or get a FA one. Cap will rise a lot for us to be flexible but a HB extension would help even more.
  18. He will play this year. Cut or traded next year unless he takes a pay cut.
  19. THE CHIEFS SIGN FORMER PACKERS WR DARRIUS SHEPHERD PER @BYNATETAYLOR
