  1. Still, both are upgrades at this time for us. Rudolph at 2nd TE is way better than what we have now.
  2. Looks like Van Noy will be released by the dolphins. Also Rudolph for Vikings. LB and TE would look a lot better if we could afford them.
  3. Well have to rely in his weeks of practice and what the scouts saw there and the game. I am sure a lot if calls will be made to college coaches along with their game tapes.
  4. In house talent is what got us in trouble Thinking Reiter, Wylie etc were the answer is ludicrous. We need an actual line coach too. To think this is the best they can get and try to develop is beyond dumb and cost us a shot at a 2nd SB.
  5. Just about to post this too. Good God I am glad we did not sign him for this amount. Guess he won't be expecting a ring after all.
  6. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/30985061/kansas-city-chiefs-hoping-qb-patrick-mahomes-toe-surgery-ready-june-mini-camp Also other news in our tackle, honey badger, Watkins etc. KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Kansas City Chiefs are hopeful quarterback Patrick Mahomes will have recovered from recent toe surgery to participate in the team's June mini-camp. The expectation is that he will be ready to go by the start of training camp later in the summer. Mahomes had surgery for turf toe on Feb. 10 "It's a three-month recovery so we're hopeful (Mahomes returns) somewhere around that mandatory mini-camp, if we have it," general manager Brett Veach said. "We certainly think by training camp he'll be ready to go and we'll be smart with him." EDITOR'S PICKS Chiefs' Mecole Hardman more than just fast? K.C.'s actions this offseason may tell the tale Chiefs' defense also to blame for biggest pass-rush disparity in Super Bowl history Veach said the Chiefs were also hopeful starting tackles Mitchell Schwartz and Eric Fisher would be ready for the start of training camp. Schwartz last week had back surgery and Fisher on Jan. 29 had surgery for a torn Achilles tendon. "I would probably say Pat's ahead of them just because of that type of injury and a quicker recovery," Veach said. "Hopefully we'll have all three ready to go by training camp." On other matters, Veach said: • The Chiefs would try to extend the contract of defensive back Tyrann Mathieu, much as the Chiefs re-signed Mahomes, tight end Travis Kelce and defensive lineman Chris Jones last year. Mathieu has one season left on the deal he signed with the Chiefs as a free agent in 2019. "We'd put Tyrann in that category," Veach said.. "We'll have some work to do to get with him and his agents but enough can't be said about Tyrann and his importance to this team both on the field and in the locker room. He's proven not just to be a great player but a great leader and great person to have developing the young guys and out in the community. "We hope he's secure with this organization for years to come." • The Chiefs would like to retain wide receiver Sammy Watkins, who is scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent. "I love Sammy and I love what he does for our offense," Veach said. "There will be challenges this year. It will be a lot more challenging to retain him and bring him back this year just because of where we are. We were able to work with him and his agent last year and make it work. This year it will probably be more difficult just because we'll have some work to do to get under the cap and once we do, we'll have to see where the markets go." On what the Chiefs would do if they need to replace Watkins, Veach said, "We're certainly blessed to have Tyreek Hill and expecting big things out of Mecole Hardman this year. We're all excited about the development of Byron Pringle. We feel really good about those three players. "I can't see us running out of the gates the first week in free agency and signing a receiver. I don't think that's where we're at. If the market falls and things make sense for us, we'll be smart and selective. If something doesn't work out for us in free agency, I think there's enough depth to allow us to address it potentially in the draft."
  7. Part of this article from Veach. "I can't see us running out of the gates the first week in free agency and signing a receiver. I don't think that's where we're at. If something doesn't work out for us in free agency, I think there's enough depth to allow us to address it potentially in the draft." https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/30985061/kansas-city-chiefs-hoping-qb-patrick-mahomes-toe-surgery-ready-june-mini-camp
  8. Sometimes bpa available is not the best fit for us. So if one rb was rated as bpa, but CEH was rated up there but a better fit, we go with that. I am fine with bpa for a needed player that is best for our system.
  9. Easton at either G spot or maybe look at Humphries etc. Just a read to see what others may think. https://chiefswire.usatoday.com/lists/kansas-city-chiefs-free-agency-2021-five-cap-casualties-to-sign/
  10. Yeah. I did not see his a length before Veach likes versatility though and a guy who can do great at G but back up OT would be nice. Thing is he would be best on the left side. With Allegretti there already, do we take a guy like this then? Who knows.
  11. https://chiefswire.usatoday.com/lists/kansas-city-chiefs-first-round-pick-31-2021-nfl-mock-draft-roundup-week-2/ Offensive line remains this week's consensus position Ken Ruinard – The Greenville News Of the eight mock drafts in our roundup this week, seven of them sent an offensive lineman to Kansas City. The Chiefs adding to the offensive line is the easiest possible conclusion after watching Patrick Mahomes run for his life in Super Bowl LV. This week we have a couple of new names popping up. We have Clemson OT Jackson Carman, who is a long-armed tackle prospect. He seems very much like a jack-of-all-trades, but master of none compared to others in this tackle class. He also still has some noticeable struggles handling speed rushers. We also have some other players like Oklahoma C Creed Humphrey and USC OL Alijah Vera-Tucker popping up for the first time. Humphrey is a technician at the center position and Vera-Tucker is a plug-and-play starter basically anywhere on the line. We’ll see how long the offensive line remains the flavor of the month for Kansas City in these mock drafts. I suspect the recent news regarding Mitchell Schwartz will allow for some more variety as we approach free agency. On risky draft picks... AP Photo/Tony Avelar Earlier in the week, we wrote about Mel Kiper, Jr.’s pick for the Chiefs, Stanford OT Walker Little, being a risky choice. That brought up some good discussion about risk and the draft. Every pick, of course, carries some level of risk, but this year is very unique. A number of the tools for evaluation that teams usually have aren’t available for lots of prospects. In the case of Little, the team’s last piece of film on him will have come in August of 2019 against Northwestern. That’s the last time that he played a game. They won’t have the NFL Scouting Combine for reliable medical evaluations on his knee injury. They won’t have top-30 visits or pre-draft workouts. They’re essentially flying blind compared to previous years. That risk you assume when drafting the player becomes magnified when you consider what you’re without in the evaluation process this season. One name that kept being brought up as a comparison was Alabama C Landon Dickerson, but I’m not sure that you can really compare the two players. Dickerson’s durability concerns are well-documented, but he has also played 25 games in the past two seasons. A team can hang their hat on that in their evaluation process. It’s hard to say the same about the two-year-old tape from Little. You’re leaving a lot more up to projection with a player like Little than you are with a player like Dickerson

  13. The no combine lol. I put a new one in there. Not liking it? I can do a nude one but it might give a heart attack to a few poster here.
  14. Forgot about that. He was a fringe 1st rounder last year if he came out. I think he will be there and do well. Iowa has some pretty damn good linemen in that pro style offense. Coaches from the NFL too that coached o line etc. I am glad so much is being hyped on others. The other one I am excited to see possibly next year is our center. With us needing one, I wish he had come out.
  15. Alaric Jackson might be there end of the 2nd too. If we go in another way there may be an OT still there. Really all depends on combine and FA.
  16. Perfect for us. These type of players we seem to go after and have the right environment for them with Reid and company.
  17. Get him? Does he fit our system? The more we can fill in FA the better we can draft This guy may come cheap. Now get Williams at LT, Scherff or Thuney at G, niang at RT and we should be good to go! Lol
  18. Hard to tell jokes at times in writing Lukas. I would be ecstatic for Brown but it is a pipe dream. I am thinking FA is the way to go in Williams for a few years. Plug Niang in as needed and draft a center. Then go after LT next year or see what prince has first. This way one pick on center for sure. Leaves other picks for lb, DE etc.
  19. It is an article I came across and named as such. Also after it, they go in about 5 practice squad players you can read up on. Prince is in there too. I just like reading what others are saying could be done.
  20. Orlando Brown, Isaiah Wilson among tackle trade targets for KC Chiefs
  21. I would give them a 6th even. Why? Because you have such high expectations and potential for a young first rounder. Losing a 6th would not hurt us at all. Then you can sign or draft to upgrade center. This leaves us with Niang or him at LT if Schwartz comes back. If not Niang at RT and you still have this guy and others to try at LT. Just gives us options.
  22. A good lb and de, we would be even better as a whole. We can do it as there are needs but we can fill them. Veach is smart one to do so too. He has shown a knack so far, just hope the O line is addressed before the 4th round or in FA.
  23. He needs to draft for potential in rounds 4 or 5, not 2. We need starters in round 2.
