  1. Lol still wont matter if they cant catch or get the ball thrown to them. We win the race every time
  2. Brett Veach also said that when the draft got within 5-6 selections from the Chiefs, Eric Bieniemy started texting him saying, “Go get him, bro!" https://twitter.com/ArrowheadAddict/status/1253690580258914309?s=19
  3. Heard it. Laughed. Posted about it in the draft thread and said no way will they be able to keep up with our offense let alone out score us. They pretty much just wasted picks if this is their mentality. We also just gave them a big fuck you taking a rb that will push us even farther ahead.
  4. Read plenty on it and he needs to work on his pass blocking skills as it is one of his weaknesses. Not horribly bad but Reid will do just that and work him into a good one.
  5. Said in the draft thread that cushenberry, biadasz and Hennessy are still out there too
  6. Still have Cushenberry, Biadasz and Hennessy on board for C.
  7. Rankins will be a guard. LDT the other. Let Wylie, Reiters and Allegretti fight for center or guard spot even.
  8. Going to be a lot of quick screens and such that even though is a pass it acts like a running play in those offense.
  9. No way even with those picks can they expect to keep up with us. The pick just shows all they did was for not with us getting the rb we wanted.
  10. The more i see and read on him the more i am liking this pick. His vision and cutting will be amazing for us after the catch or on a sweep etc. To be able to run inside and be hidden behind our line is a plus. Love his stats last year..... Only SEC player with 1000 yards rushing and 50 plus catches....perfect for our offense. https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/clyde-edwards-helaire-1.html
  11. They always seem to prepare for the next year with a draft pick if the position they are replacing. Seen it here with CEH for Williams who will be 30 and last year signed with us. I expect CB and WR too. DT though would be telling but them again they still can tag and trade next year and get more draft capital. Who knows what DT will look like next year in FA and the draft?
  12. Yeah, i linked it above. Check out the stat line for him last year. Impressive.
  13. baun or cuts. I would look for Welch from Iowa too especially if he is an UDFA
  14. Time for WR, CB today. We have those positions needing to be filled against our FA next year in Watkins, Robinson and Breeland/Ward. I do think we extend Ward though in season. Also this will give the WR a year to learn too from our WRs etc. Would like a chance at Hennessy or a good IOL if there too. We do have next years FA and draft too plus cuts yet to come. Veach does well grabbing players off others practice squad or who are cut etc. He also is not afraid to trade a surplus for a need.
  15. He was the guy they wanted. We did not pick again until the end of the 2nd round. Would he have been there? Hard to tell yes or no, so do you let your BPA that you wanted go just because he is a RB and you are selecting in the 1st round? No way. Also RBs maybe easy to get or dime a dozen etc but being a 1st round guy we now have his control for 5 years. About the time a RB lifespan in the NFL is. They could say the same thing about WRs this year. Why draft one in the 1st round when all that talent is out there in rounds 2 and 3 too......
  16. Why do you think we have 7? Are any of them capable of being a 3 down back or playing for the whole season so far? If we can cut it down to say 4 we will be fine. I think this guy shares the load as he learns and we have Williams, Washington, Thomas and him on the depth chart. Next year Williams will be gone and CEH will have a year under his belt.
  17. https://chiefswire.usatoday.com/2020/04/24/kansas-city-chiefs-patrick-mahomes-rb-clyde-edwards-helaire-first-round-pick/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=NFLdraftmaverickMikeTony The Kansas City Chiefs selected LSU RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire with pick No. 32 in the first round, but it wasn’t without a little insight from their most important player. The Chiefs called up Edwards-Helaire with Clark Hunt, Andy Reid, Brett Veach, Eric Bieniemy, and Deland McCullough to congratulate him on joining Kansas City. In the call, they let him, and the rest of Chiefs Kingdom in on a little piece of information. Both Reid and Veach revealed that Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes had hand-picked Edwards-Helaire as the player that he wanted for the Chiefs. And so, they made it happen. “Hey, listen we’re fired up for you, man,” Andy Reid began. “We asked Pat Mahomes, ‘Who do you want?’ And he picked you. How great is that?” “I’m ready to work coach you know that,” Edwards-Helaire responded. “… Coach and I were thinking your way,” Veach said. “Then when we texted Pat [Mahomes] and I said, ‘Give me a name and don’t think about it.’ And he said, ‘Clyde [Edwards-Helaire] and I said, ‘We’re good.'” It seems that not only Veach, Reid and the rest of the coaching staff were in agreement on Edwards-Helaire, but the star quarterback also recognized that he was a special talent worthy of a first-round selection too. Be sure to watch the video for more from Reid, Bieniemy, McCullough and Chiefs president Mark Donovan. As well as more from the newest RB for the Kansas City Chiefs.
  18. Clyde Edwards-Helaire led all draft-eligible RBs in receiving Catches - 55 Yards - 453 Yards after contact - 172
  19. Get him in the 3rd. Grab a LB in the second or S that can cover amd act as a lb.
  20. No TE worth a 1st imo. It is thin but Kmet not a 1st rounder. BPA may be DE... Espenesa
  21. As bad as Raiders did picking a 2nd or 3rd round cb in the 1st round.
  22. Pretty good job Veach has done to make people forget about one of his highest picks so far as a GM.
