  1. Come on down Ty and get that 1 year stats with our QB for a prove it deal for next year FA period....
  2. Believe the roll over money was absorbed into this years for paying the cap hits of Hill and such. They freed up money last year in case it was needed to add new players but kicked the hits to this year? Found something on it. https://www.si.com/nfl/chiefs/gm-report/chiefs-free-up-salary-cap-space-with-renegotiations-even-after-tyreek-hill-deal-RDmxC3-FSEKmZyzU6gDQ2Q
  3. FA tracker for anyone interested https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/28827917/2020-nfl-free-agency-tracker-latest-signings-trades-cuts-news-rumors
  4. Kirksey signed with GB. 2 years 16 million. Packers agree to terms with LB Christian Kirksey Christian Kirksey has agreed to terms on a two-year, $16 million dollar deal with the Green Bay Packers. Kirksey was limited to nine games total the past two seasons, but had 138 tackles in 2017, his last 16-game campaign with the Cleveland Browns.
  5. Not really, there are a few. Charles was mentioned too. Thing is Thornhill is young and that is a plus in his side too. Either way it will take him some time mentally too.
  6. Well no worry for Williams eating up any cap space. https://chiefswire.usatoday.com/2020/03/15/kansas-city-chiefs-dt-xavier-williams-free-agency-report/ Report: Chiefs won't re-sign pending free agent DT Xavier Williams Charles Goldman 44 minutes ago ADVERTISEMENT The Kansas City Chiefs have plenty of pending free agents and in the coming days will know which of those players will return for the 2020 season. According to Kansas City Star beat writer Sam McDowell, the Chiefs won’t seek to re-sign DT Xavier Williams. Kansas City added Williams when he was a restricted free agent with the Arizona Cardinals in 2018. They signed him to a two-year offer sheet with the Chiefs worth $5 million and the Cardinals declined to match. Williams played high school football in Grandview, Missouri and was a Chiefs fan. He had a chance to play for his hometown team and win a Super Bowl with them. 59 people are talking about this Williams played 3-4 defensive end in Bob Sutton’s defense in 2018 before making the switch to 4-3 defensive tackle for Steve Spagnuolo in 2019. He played just five games during 2019’s regular-season before being placed on injured reserve with a high ankle sprain. Ultimately, Williams would become one of the two players the Chiefs brought back from injured reserve, joining QB Chad Henne. He’d play in games against the Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans during the postseason with 30 defensive snaps and 10 snaps on special teams. Williams will finish his time in Kansas City with 55 total tackles, 2.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, two tackles for loss and two QB hits. If there’s one good piece thing about the Chiefs’ decision on Williams, this increases the likelihood that Kansas City returns both Chris Jones and Mike Pennel who are also free agents at the defensive tackle position.
  7. I went to over the cap so this is what is said for us. I would assume they have it all in there.
  8. With new CBA agreed and the cap space now at 198.2 million, we have 18.4 million in cap space. We can keep Jones on a tag price without having to cut anyone else right now. If we want to keep players we can restructure the likes of Watkins if he wants to do so or do cuts and get even more cap space for other FAs and then draft accordingly. Not a bad place at all to be in. Veach had set us up nicely and can really do even more now going forward with his cap space management.
  9. And this number is still with Watkins, LDT etc on it. We can keep them all or create even more cap space and go after that one or two FA we need.
  10. https://kckingdom.com/2020/03/14/kc-chiefs-5-free-agents-to-target-at-5-positions-of-need/2/ ILB FA.
  11. Well Scherff was tagged. Maybe go after some of the guards mentioned before but what about Thuney? Would he be a good fit for us?
  12. Pretty good guide in FA players. Gives you an idea of a list and who is out there. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/28891046/2020-nfl-free-agency-guide-players-know-potential-value-signings-quarterbacks-move
  13. Didn't Adrian Peterson almost break the single year rushing record coming back from knee surgery? Even then his first few games were very low rushing yards or he would have had it.
  14. I hope this has nothing to do with football. If he is chasing top dollar I can see the tag and trade for sure. Of course he will go to a team that has a ways to go for competitiveness imo like Cards, Bucs etc.
  15. Quite a lot of OL being cut. Wonder if some would di a prove it deal or move inside? https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/28827917/2020-nfl-free-agency-tracker-latest-signings-trades-cuts-news-rumors
  16. Hell, if we do trade Jones we should look at Linval Joseph too. A big DT worth a shot.
  17. Might be the vet type teams get for a 1 year prove it deal that wants to go to a team capable of a SB win. If we can get the likes of him and say Kirksey or OL help it would do great for us in the draft. We could really go after the BPA and development type players this year. Also let us retain Jones too as we can make cap space in other easy moves.
  18. Graham is being cut by GB. Wouldn't mind him for a good contract but not what he was making. Be nice if we could go after Hooper as it seems GB will be doing.
  19. Brandon Carr and Derrick Alexander has to be in the list. Hell even Andre Rison if he could have kept his act together.
  20. Xen, their cap space cheating in 1997 of paying Davis and Elway reference. All they were fined was 1.9 million and forfeit of a 3rd round pick for cheating the cap space.
  21. We need to renovate the stadium and do a Broncos type cap space deal. Defer payments to Jones and Mahomes and let their cap hits be so small for us. This will allow us to get the renovations done. Hell it could only cost us 2 mil and a 3rd round pick at the most!
  22. Yeah. Having him there would give us the Sorensen of LB type guys and allow HB to play anywhere as needed. Just hope Thornhill comes back healthy as ever. This guy would give Spags a lot of options to put whoever on the field.
