  1. Maybe use the Sneed trade for a LT thrown in? Any LT about to be replaced this year or knowing they would not resign next year?
  2. I put this in the Sneed thread but this may help here too.
  3. I stand corrected. Once a team uses a franchise tag, it has until mid-July to sign that player to a contract extension. I was thinking the beginning of the season, but it is mud July.
  4. Either way I don't believe you can sign a new contract once the season begins on the tag for the tagging team.
  5. Can't extend him now on his franchise tag. Have to wait until off season.
  6. Hell we csn let him go next year and still possibly get a 3rd comp pick. Let them low ball, one team will bite and thst is all it takes.
  7. If a team worries about what could possibly happen with the Chiefs instead of doing what is right for their team then they have already lost. Veach is killing it if this is the hold up on a trade of Sneed.
  8. Well you know Reid will get the best for him and Mahomes being the best to throw to him.
  9. DJ Chark? Maybe Mike Williams also on prove it deal.
  10. Just fyi, we now have the Moore Brown Rice combo.
  11. Well use this draft to get the WR and LT. Then think of future needs like S, DT, DE and G positions. I think we gonafter Creed and Bolton for sure. I looked up capnspace for 2025 and it has us at 48 mil. We will resign some of our own after the big ones too. We will still have next year's draft also. Veach seems to be keeping 2 steps ahead of it all. https://overthecap.com/calculator
  12. Yeah. He will have to stay healthy and earn it. Possibly get a ring and bigger pay day then too next year.
  13. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/39735346/chiefs-sign-hollywood-brown-one-year-deal-sources-say Former Baltimore Ravens and Arizona Cardinals receiver Marquise "Hollywood" Brown is expected to sign a one-year deal worth up to $11 million with the Kansas City Chiefs, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Wednesday. Brown, who was traded to the Cardinals by the Ravens in 2022, did not get the long-term deal he was seeking leading into the 2023 campaign and was hampered by a heel injury last season. Injuries have become a recent factor for Brown, who hasn't played a full season since 2020. Brown, who turns 27 on June 4, finished 2023 with a career-low 574 yards in 14 games. He had 51 catches and four touchdowns on 101 targets, his third straight year with triple-digit targets. However, he set career lows with yards-per-target average (5.68) and yards after catch (164). He entered the NFL as the 25th pick in the 2019 draft by the Ravens. He has 313 career receptions for 3,644 yards and 28 touchdowns. His lone 1,000-yard season came in 2021, when he caught 91 passes for 1,008 yards for Baltimore. ESPN's Josh Weinfuss contributed to this report.
  14. 1 year deal to allow us to draft and develop our own. Then go into next year knowing whether we need another, resign Brown or draft one. Maybe we get the last we in FA next year after signing our own.
  15. Qell yeah, that was insinuated. They did though have some fine WRs for him.
  16. Plus a trade meant we took his cap hit. No thanks to that. Then we would lose a pick. Best to get a FA WR. Seems Brown would be best out there now.
  17. We said the same thing this year for Mahomes after a couple games.
