  1. If Jones doesn't sign, I think keeping Sneed and say signing Wilkins at around 22 to 24 mil per year would help us with the loss of Jones. Then you still can restructure Mahomes and others to resign a couple more of our own and even an OT or WR as both are deep in the draft too.

  3. If he doesn't sign, we will get a good(hopefully) comp pick back. Then go hard after Wilkins and a FA WR or OT too. Take the rest and resign a couple of our own still left before the draft.
  4. Hope he gets a lot so we can get back a comp pick.
  5. And the dominoes begin to fall. I love Tranquill over Gay. Guy can do it all. Leo is stepping up to be our thumper so that will lessen the loss of Gay. Get Jones signed and then go after the likes of Allegretti, Wharton, Dana and/or one of the TE in Bell or Fortson. Restructure and use some in FA for a position of need at WR and then time for draft and next years extensions.
  6. Well Sneed will get more. Bears, Jaylon Johnson agree to 4-year, $76M deal, sources say https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/39677177/bears-jaylon-johnson-agree-4-year-76m-deal-sources-say
  7. I talked about Mooney before as a 3rd WR type and to return kicks but he would be signed only as our 3rd or 4th option after drafted WR or FA and Rice.
  8. A vet like Thomas or Allen would be nice short term. It would mean we use an early pick on WR to develop and show what the Chiefs intend to do for the future. If we get a younger vet on multi year deal I hope it is Ridley
  9. If he doesnt sign, I expect Veech to go aggressively for FA players knowing we have that cap and available restructuring ability. Wilkins from Miami would get an offer from us a little bit lower than what we gave to Jones. Then go after a FA WR and possible LT/DE while resigning the rest we want like Tranquill or Gay. The draft would be wide open in a lot of ways and we can use any money then for next year to lock up more of our own too. If this is done and we draft well this year, we won't have much holes to fill other than development and depth next year. Imagine being even better this year and knowing many may be locked in to have a free year in FA and drafting for the future only. Hopefully it will be us trying to get 4 SB in a row!
  10. Rumors are that Thomas will be released from the Saints. I would like the Chiefs to look into him and see.
  11. Going to be many older FA cuts from them, chargers, bills etc. Their cap space and chasing us the last few years is coming home to roost.
  12. We would not get a comp pick for Jones until next years draft if he signs elsewhere. It also might not be a 3rd round pick if we sign other higher FA picks this year as it will cancel out what we signed and lost this year. Complicated formula that no one knows how the NFL does it.
  13. Start high, create a bidding war for those that want to go 2nd plus another and grab what we can. I still think we csn use our first rounder plus Sneed to move up to a higher 1st round pick if we wanted to do that too.
  14. And can't handle a whopper burger.

  16. I rather have the other Texas WR in Mitchell. Bigger by an inch. Heavier at 205 and ran a 4.34. Guy seems like the complete type player that can get better with pro training. He does have some Trump hand size though at 9 inches.
  17. He only ran his freshman and sophomore season. His best 100m was his sophomore year at 10.55. He did run 200m though his junior year and the relay. Let's not make it sound like he went all thru college etc still running track. https://www.athletic.net/athlete/12643560/track-and-field/high-school In a game last year Worthy hit 22.7 mph against Iowa State. In game speed the best way over a 40 imo. Last year Hill hit 22.07 mph for his fastest speed against the Broncos. Also just fyi, Hill ran his 40 in 4.29 at his pro day. Unofficial though. I think the guy is 3 inches? Taller than Hill but he does need to bulk up a bit which may lose speed too. Would I hate the pick? I have to believe in Veech. I just can't see a guy at 167 pounds taking the hits on a regular bases. Hill is built like a mini tank in his lower strength muscles.
  18. Nope. All cap casualties ot those not living up to there signed contract and older guys. Good one year fillers on some.
  19. And then you can say Hill trained for speed running being a track star while Worthy was just naturally fast af too.
  20. A man can wish, but if that were ever to happen....
  21. The Vikings, Colts, Titans, Patriots, Lions, Falcons and Jaguars have all expressed interest in Sneed, according to USA Today. https://www.vikings.com/news/2024-draft-picks-selections-nfl-minnesota
  22. Bears placing franchise tag on CB Jaylon Johnson He was the 2nd overall rated guy behind Sneed. This helps us with the trade in the fact it makes the market less diluted with CB talent. https://www.nfl.com/news/bears-placing-franchise-tag-on-cb-jaylon-johnson
