  1. Hell, lol, some said this last year and the very 1st game......
  2. Better to face him late in the year when his age and toll of the season wears on him too.
  3. 13-4. Haven't looked at the schedule for losses bit we get the 1 seed and 3 peat it.
  4. Damn red zone needs to be looked at for offense. Our 1s stalled twice.
  5. I think we look at those cut players. One of Perine or Williams will get cut from the Broncos. Panthers Miles Sanders who went to hell last year after signing a good FA deal. Surprise cut may be Alvin Kamara with his holdout. I am sure there are other RBs that are year 2 guys who we had an eye in and will be cut too. RB is a need if we don't find one behind Pacheco better than CEH, but I am sure we will get one after cuts then if so.
  6. He is my guy I picked to surprise us. I hope he can step up and learn from one of the best next to him.
  7. I rather see a DT step up besides CJ. More pressure from that position will help the back end and even help CJ himself of we can get a solid option there.
  8. The shoulder injury that sent Kansas City wide receiver Marquise Brown to the hospital this weekend will not require surgery, Chiefs coach Andy Reid confirmed Monday. Brown, 27, was discharged from a Jacksonville-area hospital Sunday morning after dislocating the sternoclavicular joint in his left shoulder in Saturday’s 26-13 preseason loss to the Jaguars.
  9. Interesting piece on the first drive. Once Hollywood Brown got hurt, Skyy Moore was the wide receiver to come in and replace him on the first team offense. #Chiefs
  10. Chiefs WR Marquise Brown To Miss Time August 11th, 2024 at 8:41pm CST • By Rory Parks 8:41PM: Schefter provided an update this evening that Brown has arrived back in Kansas City following his release from the Jacksonville-area hospital he spent the night in. Schefter adds that, a day after his diagnosis, Brown’s status for the Chiefs’ regular season opener versus Brown’s former team, the Ravens, is still uncertain at this point. 8:17AM: Chiefs wide receiver Marquise Brown sustained a dislocation of the sternoclavicular (SC) joint in his left shoulder during last night’s preseason opener against the Jaguars, per ESPN’s Adam Teicher. The 27-year-old receiver was hospitalized, because as ESPN injury analyst Stephania Bell writes, SC joint dislocation can be particularly serious due to its potential to impact critical blood vessels. Luckily, Brown was discharged from the hospital this morning and cleared to return to Kansas City, as ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports.
  11. If healthy, he is much better than Moore and KT. Rather have him as a backup for Rice situation and the ability to provide better pass catching abilities than those other two.
  12. Along with Humphrey and Smith, the Chiefs also want to sign linebacker Nick Bolton (entering the last year of his rookie contract) and kicker Harrison Butker (entering the final year of his contract) to multiyear extensions. “They are three really good players and they’re fantastic people,” Veach said of Humphrey, Smith and Bolton. “Throughout this camp, hopefully, we’re able to get more than one done. It’s just going to be a systematic approach and exchange of communication. We would want nothing more than for them to be here (long term) and I’m sure they would want nothing more than to be here.” It appears the Chiefs’ top priority is to see if they can continue to provide elite protection for Mahomes by retaining the services of Humphrey and Smith. https://www.arrowheadpride.com/2024/8/6/24213900/arrowheadlines-chiefs-will-look-for-another-hot-start-to-separate-from-rival
  13. Reid has a contract thru 2028 and ends after the SB in 2029. Do you think they are seeing if Gruden would come in, repair whatever it is he needs to do and be a coach in waiting? Special coach consultant or something? Seems a bit long to wait unless Andy calls it earlier.
  14. Friends with Reid. Offensive mind that can help give an extra set of eyes for the team etc.
  15. As of May 30, 2024, the Kansas City Chiefs were projected to have $16,492,968 in cap space for the 2025 NFL season, the least in the AFC West. However, in March 2024, Yahoo Sports reported that the Chiefs restructured Patrick Mahomes' contract in September 2023, which could create an estimated $66.2 million in cap space for 2025. This would give the Chiefs more money to work with in free agency as they try to build another Super Bowl team.
  16. Plenty of moves can be made to still sign Bolton too.
