  1. He gets cut and then we get the hit. He won't play for free the 9 mil is his, no matter what. Why would the nflpa even let him play for free? Might as well go sign a 8 mil prove it deal and make 17 mil for the year.
  2. 9 million is the dead money. We save 21 mil or something like that with cutting him. To keep him would be a cap hit of 30 mil. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/kansas-city-chiefs/frank-clark-16787/
  3. I still would approach OBJ about moving back to RT in the off season. If we can fill one or two of these positions, I causing DE with FA it will go a long way, imo, of us front loading the contracts and using the draft for the future/development along with getting a few starters. OT FA. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/all/tackle// DT FA https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/all/defensive-tackle//

  5. Thst 2 point conversion bs call against the Steelers in the playoffs along with the PI call hurt us. He called the roughing the passer against Jones on Carr early this year on the strip fumble sack. He called our SB loss against the Bucs. He has a hard on for us. We get double digit penalties while the other team usually ends up with 4. Hell against the Bills in 2020 there were 7 first quarter penalties alone in that game.
  6. Dementia is a hell of a thing huh? Lmao jk
  7. No it is not a fantasy. You asked and I showed you. The easiest restructure would be Mahomes where a lot could be done. This idea that we can't get cap space was more of your point. I am just showing you we can easily do so and if max restructure was done, damn near 120 mil could be had. This per the guy at over the cap per the tweet.
  8. Showed you in the other post too. Chiefs will have 12th highest cap space next year at over 28 mil. If they do restructuring they have a lot more.
  9. Having the young rookies from last year and this next draft, all those picks, we would have time to pay these contracts off before they hit.
  10. I have shown it before in an article but here it goes again. Fyi, we are 12th highest in cap space with no restructure going into 2023 with over 28 mil available.
  11. His contract was re negotiated. What then, as you said yourself "Chiefs have too many high priced guys to pay" are these guys you speak of? Kelce is signed, Mahomes is signed, Jones we will pay and should on a contract, but is already making great money. Our D consist of LBs that are making peanuts and will get paid on line as I dont see them as bank busters. Our CB/and S groups are really all new and underpaid or like Reid at S paid at the market price. Our O line has one contract on it at great pay in Thuney. I really dont see all that much this next year, where we will have to pay out the ass in contracts that we cant afford another one at DE. Remember we can get up to 120 mil in cap space if we want and that can pay off many guaranteed/bonus money etc up front. This means the later years, which is usually cutable, can be done so at a great no risk for dead space type money. Veach has really set all this up nicely by not overpaying and looking to the future. The draft picks will just keep us rolling on rookie deals and set us up even better. Plus you dont have to possibly bust on a DE pick, or have one that takes 2 to 3 years to develop even if a high pick. Then watch him leave when he gets good but we dont want to pay him etc like Dee Ford scenario, who was not a high 1st but 23rd overall.
  12. also giving away picks for a guy that is unproven can be destructive too for the future. Chiefs have many guys now on rookie deals. Pay the majority of the contract out front and roll with it for a few years. We are in great position having cap space and many picks and not having mortgage any of those in the future picks too. We are in great position to sign away and we lose Clarks high priced contract this off season. If he is replaced with a much better DE at his price he had, we will be even better come draft time.
  13. or just pay one in FA. I mean a guy you know is good to play in the NFL and not take a chance on getting a bust of a pick that you over paid for to take that high. DE or DT I would love to address in FA. Get that done and the picks can be BPA then go for the developmental type guys etc.
  14. We will or can have plenty of money next year. Upwards of 120 mil if they redo contracts.
