  1. More like thrown to the bears. They can get some nutritional value at least.
  2. From the tape I saw, he has great awareness of what is around him and good hands. Sneaky fast. He won't have to learn much in the way of routes. NIce weapon for Mahomes. When there is a lot of pressure on Mahomes, Brown is good with the short/quick game also. Good signing. Basically a Juju type player.
  3. I'm glad Wharton is back. Keep the top 5 D together as much as possible. If/when we lose Sneed, we will drop to a top 10 D, so we will need more offense to remain dominant.
  4. I'm not shocked. Its a business. Cash is king in both directions, and players know that, especially players who have never experienced playing on a champion that has a special chemistry that is pretty unique in sports. To them, all teams are the same, so you take the best money.
  5. We need to curb our enthusiasm. We still have to play the games, and the offseason maneuverings have barely begun. The draft is still a month away. Still...I trust in Veach to get the pieces without mortgaging the future and in the coaching staff to get the most out of who we have. I trust in the veteran leaders who set the standard for the other players and help them keep the right mindset. With Mahomes, there is only so low we can ever go. The floor is very high no matter what else happens.
  6. I changed my post and added some things. But yes, he is essential.
  7. I don't think so. Morse was released after a major foot injury that would have kept him out for a long time. When Hudson was lost to FA, Dorsey was GM, and the Chiefs were stingy and stupid. I think Humphrey is a foundational player and anchor of the O-line. I haven't heard of any such thoughts other than some complaints about his low snaps. He is a phenomenal puller in the running game and a crucial part of pass protection.
  8. The Titans would be our best bet if we have to lose Sneed. They are currently the 7th pick. If we traded straight up with them, it would be moving up 24 spots! I'd take that, even with nothing else thrown in.
  9. Great blitzer. That rarely shows on CB stats, but it sure has allowed Spags a lot of deceptive pass rush and run blitz possiblities. Plus, when he does, he annihilates people. We will miss him more than it may seem.
  10. Maybe. Remember how irritated and how quickly we fans give up on guys who constantly get hurt? Well, that's what other teams gave up on. "Just needs a fresh start elsewhere." Comes from a football family, though.
  11. Backup. Yes, injury prone. Career has never really gotten any momentum because of that. Too many injuries (knee, needing surgery, then ankle, then hamstring). I think it is a reach. Probably practice squad and then emergency guy. When healthy, he could spell Kelce a little. No long term solution.
  12. I thought it was Alegretti. It was at training camp, maybe his first season, but it was on tape. It could have been Saunders, but in my mind, it was Alegretti. Didn't Alegretti play some RB in college?
  13. I'm happy for him. He deserves a chance to be a starter. He was always a good starter for us when we needed him. Plus he was the only guy his size that I ever saw do a backflip. That was one of life's "holy shit" moments for me.
  14. I always forget about Nazeeh Johnson. They do claim to like him a lot. I hope you are right. I just don't think there is a guy currently on our roster who can do all the things Sneed can do. Whether we can win another title without him is very much an open question. He just plain neutralized the #1 WR on every playoff team we faced, including Tyreek Hill. And those games were still close. Having a more high powered offense could make up some of the difference, but there is just no replacing a guy like Sneed who can do so many things at a high level. He is fearless, powerful, and plays with amazing energy. Our other guys in the secondary are good, too...but not THAT good. Yes, it will be great to have Cook back.
  15. If fans are seriously looking for a three-peat, they should be hoping that we can keep Sneed for another year. He is a total lockdown guy. If we are looking for long term contention, then let him go for a really good player and a draft pick or two. But going for a third super bowl in a row would require Sneed to stay with us IMO.
  16. Maybe Higgens and a 3rd for Sneed? Maybe throw in a 6th or 7th as well?
  17. He has a wife named Ella, doesn't he? They are both pretty big. We could probably pay him peanuts.
  18. I think we can find a top flight WR in free agency on a one-year rental and pick two prospects in the second to later rounds and try to develop them. If we hit on even one, we may be fine. Maybe we can get another 2nd round pick in a Sneed deal.
