  1. Do you think Jones' lawyers really give a shit about his buddies? Jones, of course, doesn't have to follow his lawyers' recommendations for whatever personal reasons, but they are hired as contract lawyers, not personal advisors or life coaches.
  2. The Chiefs have that chance right now without adding anyone. It is widely recognized that their defense is better, especially at LB and secondary. Many are saying top 10 or better. We haven't had that in the Mahomes era. Others are saying that we have the best O right now, or close. Some of those say we have the best O-line in football (Assuming Dixon is good and Taylor, which is reasonable). So, what is the fretting about "having a chance" all about? Where is the assumption that we need to compromise our chance to retain Jones to get another receiver coming from? It's ridiculous. Instead of another receiver, let the improved defense give Mahomes more chances with the ball and extend Jones. It is the only sane path I can envision.
  3. 2921? Back to the future. You could make a lot of money in Vegas in the meantime.
  4. The reference was because Mahomes sport involves many seconds, not one swing or one throw. He is an acrobat. He is a ballet dancer out there. There is advanced and sustained finesse, not a momentary expression of power or athleticism. But probably few readers of that post have really seen Nureyev. You have to see it to believe it. Same with Mahomes.
  5. He's right, though. As long as we can watch Mahomes, it is like getting to watch Nuryev dance. Every game is a potential win, is interesting and fun. We are blessed. I think we will win a few more Super Bowls with him. It's been a great ride and will continue to be. I think we have our own very good coaching hierarchy. Likely, Nagy will take over and will be a fine HC.
  6. Yep. All of these QB's who are great at running and choose it as a fequent option on many plays have pretty short careers as dominant QBs. They are really exciting and hyped in the press, but it doesn't take long before they become also-rans. If a QB runs really well, he should use it in an emergency only, like Mahomes. Otherwise defensive players are ready for it. That can end poorly for a QB wanting to win a Super Bowl. BTW, it is really hard for a douchebag to keep it a secret.
  7. Please don't go, my friend. We just like to have fun. Bobby McFerrin - Don't Worry Be Happy (Official Music Video) - YouTube.webloc
  8. Have you ever thought about Prozac? I've heard it works really well.
  9. Remember, there is another FA period coming. Veach may have his eye on someone who is priced out of their current roster. Even without a move, though, I wouldn't call the DT situation "dog shit." Your post is a little over-dramatic. Veach filled all the positions of most need in this recent draft without over-reaching. Pretty good for a superbowl winner in the most difficult draft situation of 32 teams. He played the hand he was dealt really well, I thought.
  10. If he is that good and lost out because of a first year injury on a team with depth at that position, there is nothing "up" with him. Just bad luck. If his injury is healed, and his attitude and behavior are fine, he will find a spot and thrive someplace. But we don't know any of those last three things. One thing is certain - Veach will investigate, or already has, and put him on some kind of watch list.
  11. Those are intended to resemble Nadlers Shivering Balls.
  12. I've been waiting for years for that one. When an opportunity presents itself, you don't want to be caught not ready.
  13. Their options were zero. It was a lose-lose situation. I could feel the "freak out" in them. When McKinnon put his knee down, it was like they had a temper tantrum . It feels like that temper tantrum began with Kadarius Toney's 65 yard punt return. The realization of defeat for them started then.
  14. Well, I was wrong. Actually, he is a dumbshit.
  15. That was brilliant. I was really impressed by that decision. It takes a lot of discipline and knowledge to do that. The Eagles players around him went ballistic and blew their stacks. That was the best part. I had to laugh. I recall those players were yelling at the ref to call some sort of penalty. Awww. Poor things 😂.
  16. It could also be that there might have been an RB in the late rounds that they had their eye on, but he was gone by the time the Chiefs were up. Probably all three reasons. I'm certain that McKinnon and the Chiefs are very pleased to be back together. I know Mahomes must be relieved.
  17. Yep, the Chiefs are cooked. Tickets for all games are 30% off already.
