  1. Your screen name is awful. Have you thought about "VibratingTesticles?" or maybe "OscillatingGonads?"
  2. Chiefs move up one spot to 30 for a player we don't need, then win anyway because of Mahomes. The guy at 30 becomes a perennial all pro starting in 2025.
  3. Anton Harrison if he is there is my bet at #31. My biggest hope would be Dalton Kincaid if he somehow drops, which I doubt. We are going to have to be ready in a couple of years. Mahomes and Andy depend on a great pass catcher at TE for their entire offensive playbook to be available. I don't think we will move up for Flowers, though I would be ecstatic. But I am guessing a splash post draft trade for DeAndre Hopkins is in the works (which is why). If we take a defensive player #1, it would be a huge space-eating guard to play next to Jones, not an End/edge rusher. But we are already set to be a top 10 defense in 2023 I believe, so the priority is not real high IMO. Another CB in the mid rounds would be great. Hopes and preferences aside, I trust Veach to surprise us throughout this draft, and I really don't want to guess at anything. I don't know shit, anyway.
  4. I question them all. One thing is certain. He is either right or wrong. But his opinion will contribute to optimism, and that sells.
  5. Every team's fanbases get jazzed and convinced at this time of year right before the draft they are going to be fantastic, that a new age of dominance for them is about to begin. Why, I don't know, but the draft season and free agency, and the way it is covered in the media seems to make this true every year. Not to rain on any parades or anything.
  6. It's a long open event to accommodate players' offseason obligations. Some show up earlier, some later. Mahomes set it up that way to show players respect. That's why.
  7. Entitled midget . No, that's good info. I may be drawing bad conclusions based on little or no knowledge because of seeing other #1 wide receivers be like that so often. Not all #1 wide receivers are the same. But I would hate to slow the emergence of Skyy Moore or Kadarius Toney by taking away a ton of targets from them for the sake of serving the ball to a 28 year old. There are certain sacrifices that can be made safely considering our current talent at WR, QB, and coaching staff, especially Andy Reid. Develop the younger and cheaper guys while still contending for a championship. I think that is the best approach.
  8. But I'm not good at pass blocking. I'm not even very good at pass gas blocking anynore.
  9. You and Mex might be right about this. I sure am no expert. Still, I am leary of getting involved with another big name who wants things exactly his way at his amount of money at his position and who expects a certain amount of prominence in the passing game (rather than spreading it around like last year). I think it inhibits not only finances but also team chemistry and slows the development of younger players, some of who could turn out to also be excellent. I am using last year's experience after the loss of Tyreek Hill as the source of my feelings. Everyone nationally wrote oiur epitaph, but we ended up with another Super Bowl victory.
  10. I don't think the Chiefs are in a position where they HAVE to spend money on an aging veteran who is only interested in their own short term aggrandizement. We have Mahomes to throw to a bevy of young players with upside potential. Hopkins would sit there in the locker room demanding a large share of targets that would be taken away from young guys or draftees with a future. We have earned dynasty status by winning 7 straight AFC titles and 2 Super Bowls. Any good young receiver will do just as well as Hopkins with Mahomes throwing to him in Reid's system. Chiefs need (and will) spend their money on key pieces coming up with new contracts to negotiate, like Jones, not on someone with no Chiefs investment searching only for a way to pad their resume for a year or two. We have done that many times. We don't need to do that any more. Let teams like the Raiders do shit like that.
  11. That sounds right to me. It I were McKinnon, I would take that but would prefer "filthy lucre." Maybe even "slightly soiled."
  12. Between free agency and the draft, we have had a lot to talk about. But there is something that needs to be said once more about Mahomes, himself. The way he played through a painful high ankle sprain and played with his usual greatness with that injury to bring a Lombardi home for the Kingdom still makes my jaw drop and needs to be acknowledged again. Who plays on a high ankle sprain AT ALL, let alone on that level? Only one earthling, Patrick Mahomes. Even though we are all amazed at how great he his, his other qualities don't get enough mention. We are only a few months removed from witnessing something almost unimaginable. Remember when he came back to play only a couple of games after a dislocated patella a few years ago? His sheer toughness, determination, will to win, resistance to pain, and ability to play while hobbled is almost otherworldly. I just have to shake my head and pick my jaw up off the floor thinking about what he did to win another world championship. How the hell did we get to be the team to get this guy as our QB? What planet is he from, actually? He must be some kind of alien life form in disguise. He must have been designed by some mad scientist. And he's ours. Now, back to hashing over mortal human beings we might draft or acquire in other ways. Carry on.
  13. He is uniquely suited as valuable to the Chiefs. As you say, his blocking ability is as important to protecting Mahomes as almost any O-lineman, because he can do that while still representing a decent run threat, not giving away what the play is going to be by his presence on a particular snap. I really hope we re-sign him. If it's two years constructed in a favorable way that could let the Chiefs get out of it in year 2, then even better. He is also a real veteran and a locker room asset, as well. For the Chiefs, his total is greater than the sum of his parts. I really like his elusiveness and savvy as an outlet for Mahomes and on screens. Give him decent money. He deserves it.
  14. That's the new penalty for poor concentration. So, stay sharp! Just sayin'
  15. When you have Mahomes, the WR room becomes automatically one full grade higher, minimum. That allows us to pick other positions and meet other needs. This happens while other teams are floundering around trying to make a big splash they cannot afford and while Oldtimer pulls out more hair that doesn't exist.
  16. See? If it weren't for Coalition speculations, you would still have hair. Oh, the price we pay!
