  1. I've read about him. I would not at all be unhappy about picking him in the lower rounds.
  2. And you know what they always say: Small hands, small gloves.
  3. A really tall guy who can win a contested catch. Mahomes likes to overthrow guys who are pretty well covered to avoid interceptsions. A high contested catch guy could snag some of those anyway.
  4. And a combination of Tyreek and Travis might have been nearly unstoppable, but there was a solution to that. Now there is less of a solution. There is something Andy and Patrick can do to thwart almost any defensive strategy. One more guy who can stretch the field is all we need, a guy who does not demand 50%f of the throws and who is affordable.
  5. Nope. But this would be the year for it, as far as what is available and the time it takes to develop one in Reid's system.
  6. Technically true. But we gave up a round three compensatory pick to get Kadarius Toney. I would consider, then, Toney to be be a proven acquisition from this year's day 2. So, using that reasoning, all we have to do is find 2 gems on day 2.
  7. The TE class is so deep, there will be somebody on day 2. We'll definitely take one, because....Andy Reid.
  8. We cleaned up in the later rounds in the last draft, and now we have so many guys from the last two drafts who are starting to blossom and shine. I think the Chiefs are going to be much better overall, because the guys they picked carefully will be entering their second and third years and reaching their full potential. People around the league will be scratching their heads and wondering how we continue to be so good, regardless of what happens in this draft.
  9. It's time. Reality and common sense finally prevail. The market comes back to planet earth.
  10. It's always the same thing every year. Even though everyone knows that stars come out of the later rounds and mid rounds and even UDFA's, we still get brainwashed by the talking heads that assume that only a first round "grade" is worthwhile, and we should freak out. This is despite Travis Kelce coming in the third round and Tyreek Hill in the 5th round, etc. ad nauseum. And of course all the great first rounders that were complete busts. None of these talking heads know shit, but they sure talk. And it seems that everyone here every year are mesmerized by this illogic. In other words, the cassandras need to calm down. People we never heard about are guys we will be slavering over in a couple of years and wishing we had them. The whole point is to not be stupid as a team, come in armed with a full knowledge of every player and exactly how their traits work best with the makeup and construction and style of our own team, and let coaching do the rest. In other words, Ryan Tracy of podcast fame can go fuck himself. We have Patrick Mahomes throwing to whoever we draft. No other team can say that.
  11. Oh, yes he can. When he can take his mind off of running the ball, he can throw darts.
  12. I think he will be signed by us. He is too critical to pass protection for Mahomes and can still catch well and even run OK.
  13. Agree. A lot of teams can purchase a championship for one year. If they can afford to mortgage their future for a one year chase, Let 'em. If you want a longer reign or a dynasty, you just don't do that shit.
  14. I do, too. I just looked it up on Wikipedia, and the composer was Fred Steiner who also did the music for The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show, which was one of my favorites.
  15. I love the Cheetah, but he is never going to win a super bowl with anyone else. At least he has one ring. He's a top notch trash talker and a fun guy. Thanks for the mammaries, Legionaire. My neck still hurts from watching you.
  16. My mom loved that show. I have to admit, looking at old episodes now, it was pretty damned good for its time.
  17. How are his hands and drop %? Something that we should know before making any JuJu comparisons. He has quite a few drops on punt returns, and he will be more of a special teams player until he gets a WR opportunity. He might need some jugs machine work. I just don't know.
  18. These kinds of moves make me wonder if it is an indicator that Veach is planning to move up. He can offer up later round choices to move up by simply obtaining players in advance who are equivalent in value to the positions he would relinquish in a trade up. To me, I see this as an ihdicator of a trade UP scenario in the 1st.
  19. That's where you developed your plans for your own brew.
  20. Time for me to pony up. Just sent some by PayPal. I understand that Jet's check just arrived safely.
