I think you are right. I was on the TE bandwagon for awhile, but I understand that Noah Gray is really learning to block well. We already know he is a good receiver and finally got a lot of good reps last year. Also likely right about Kelce. A few more seasons for him most likely, as long as he doesn't get a bigger contract from Saturday Night LIve. Gray got a lot more reps last year and has a high ceiling I believe. Bell is a good blocker and will be a fullback substitute this coming season. We can do without a TE in the draft and be fine. But it will be really tempting to Veach if one of those really good ones falls to our spot. If that happens, he will release Bell or Fortson.

We are so lucky, but the old scars remain. We will return to frustration like all teams, but not for a good while. I wouldn't call any realization that we can't win the super bowl or any kind of championship a "worry". Even the Patriots' dynasty did not involve a super bowl every year. If it did involve a championship every year for us, we would lose that edge of excitement over possibility as fans. I don't expect to have a championship every year. My favorite times are those years where we don't expect it, but it happens anyway. This last season was like that... the best. Hard to top it. Filled with close games that could have gone the other way. Now we get to worry about stars aging and leaving or retiring and what will happen. It's inevitable it will happen. Every team will try their best against us. Our job is to make fans from other teams SUFFER like we did for a long time and to enjoy them resenting us and wishing us ill. Yes. I think in our system with Mahomes, having more WR's to target works better than having two star WR's that get the lion's share of the throws. At least that seems true comparing Tyreek Hill in 2021 with the guys we had last season.

It is very early. There are trades and guys who will be released later. It doesn't have to be a huge name. Mahomes will find the open guy. But how can anyone answer your question right now? Veach will make moves. He always does. We will have another couple of receivers, guaranteed. If we are not quite as strong on offense, we may still be better on defense. A slightly weaker offense that gets the ball back more times each game will score as many points, possibly more. It is way too early for hand wringing and panic. We have no idea

We don't need a guy who is a prima donna who is going to demand a dominant number of passes. With Mahomes, all we need are about 4 guys plus Kelce for Mahomes to spread the ball around to. All Kelce's supporting cast has to be are "pretty good." Just one decent 2nd tier FA veteran and a good draft choice will be enough without pissing off the receivers room or slowing the development of guys like Moore and Toney. MVS can be the guy to stretch the field.
