  1. I think the national audience really wants to watch Tyreek Hill again. That may be the most important thing, because it is all about ratings ($). They do a poll of fans to determine total viewership, and the Chiefs have been on so many prime time games this season that there is a jones to see the Reek. I share that. I miss watching him.
  2. OK. Here goes: Seattle and Cincinatti may not be traps, but they should attract either, because a loss in either could jeopardize our chances to be #1 seed. Cincinatti and Seattle are not traps but of great interest to the sports media in the sense that a loss in either could jeopardize our chance at #1 seed (maybe).

  4. What are you talking about? He has had a bad ankle injury and had to completely change his kicking and approach the ball with a much shorter step when he was finally able to play at all in that first game back against Buffalo. He injured it on that horrible turf that slipped off the understructure against the Cardinals in game one, I think. That is why he was inaccurate after finally returning to play.
  5. I've read everything about this last game in all the sites and on this forum, but I can't see anywhere a single mention of the fact that Butker has been perfect on FG's and points after in the last two games. His points accounted for the largest portion of the winning margin against the Rams. He at least deserves an honorable mention and a sigh of relief that he is back to 100% from his ankle injury.
  6. Actually, I think the Chiefs will beat the spread and win by exactly 16 points.
  7. Didn't the Raiders get fined by the NFL for that dancing on the logo thing?
  8. Yeah. They lost their patience, despite his very special skills. Some guys just turn out to be injury prone. It is called the "PPP Syndrome" (Piss Poor Protoplasm). The Chiefs are in a position to afford a little patience, a least for awhile. I don't think fans ever are. We want it all, and we want it NOW, dammit. If his hamstring is just an early career fluke due to an undemanding/weak training camp and trainers, he could be well worth the wait. He has good hands and some pretty amazing moves. He needs an Andy Reid training camp in the brutal heat, and strengthening...and maybe some plain old good luck.
  9. All secondaries are always in position. But sometimes the WR's are in a different one.
  10. Very true. I don't think Reid will want to risk Mahomes from Aaron Donald, so they will run as much as they can to keep them guessing and slow Donald. They will try to win by a touchdown and avoid embarrassing the Rams. Maybe 10 points. Just a wild guess. But if they end up having to pull out all the stops, they will.
  11. The Rams are battered. We may see Chad Henne in the 4th quarter.
  12. There are such things as trap games. But this ain't it.
  13. Happy Thanksgiving, Arthur. Oh, BTW. Don't forget your bib today.
  14. And we all know that 21 year olds always consider the risks before doing something dangerous
  15. Exactly. I enjoy skilled players with long careers hitting each other hard anywhere except in the head. Hitting people who deserve to not eat wearing a bib and wear diapers and can carry on understandable conversations when they reach 60.
  16. Well, Arthur, you make some good points. They are your own and based, from what you say, on your own personal experience. Some people base everything on their own personal lives and experiences rather than from more widespread knowledge. As a physician, I was paid to learn and practice based on a larger and more complete database, one that is continually changing and updatable. If you want to narrow your opinions to yourself, that's fine. I am in no position to judge that. But in the small case that you want to learn more and possibly change your views, here is a good start from Wikipedia. Some of this is too detailed, but read some of the last portions of each section, to see where I am coming from.Chronic traumatic encephalopathy - Wikipedia.webloc
  17. Arthur, what would you be saying if Cisco hit Mahomes in the head like that and took the edge off HIS career for the rest of it? How would you like someone to hunt YOUR head so that the guy next to you could pay money to enjoy that?
  18. Just because a big football fan doesn't want to see a kid who has put his life into football be turned into a brain-damaged geek doesn't make you a wuss. Are you a parent? Are you from the Bay area? Are you a closet Raiders fan? Is your kid out there? You like the Jovan Belcher story??
