  1. Depth. I think when McDuffie gets back and is as good as we think, Fenton will be seen from very little or until there is an injury or exhaustion in an overtime game.
  2. Someone posted this. It is not my idea, but I agree with it. The difference between the Chiefs and the Raiders is that one team blew a 17 point lead to lose the game. The other team overcame a 17 point deficit to win the game. Though there was only a 1 point difference, the actual difference between the teams was evident in that reality. The Chiefs are superior. The best teams overcome deficits. The lesser teams blow leads.
  3. He was initially sacrificing secondary strength to devote more to stopping Jacobs. He had to change it up, and he did once he found that it was not the right plan. Nothing was being stopped. That's how I see it. It was a strategic idea that didn't work. No more complicated than that.
  4. Apparently, he is a fine mentor and coordinator out there. He makes no mistakes, so we don't hear about him much. We really didn't hear much about Mathieu, either. He was playing the same role. Covering teammates asses and mentoring them. Good if someone slips past the linebackers on runs. That's what it seems like to me. Obviously, he is no threat to blitz. Value is much higher to the team than his visibility.
  5. I don't think so. He is not yet back up to speed, was playing against much bigger and quicker receivers, was on an island with them, and he is merely a little above average. In a complete secondary, he is a good piece as a depth slot corner. This group has great potential but won't really show what it can do until 2023. I am getting more impressed with Watson every game I see him.
  6. I forgot about Kinnard. Yes on all three of those statements.
  7. They also don't make excuses and don't make comments that gives teams extra motivation the next time they meet. They have been well trained in public relations. These are the finer points in great franchises and coaching staffs.
  8. Three possible reasons: 1) Wylie is still young, has all the prototypic physical qualities of a RT, and has learned the offense for a few years under Reid's system 2) Wylie is versatile and can multiple positions along the line, something the Chiefs value very much. 3) It takes 5 years on average for an O-lineman to reach full development. Witness how many years people were clamoring for us to give up on Eric Berry. 4) A free agent RT better than Wylie would cost in up front cap space money we will need to re-sign Chris Jones, Sneed, and others we cannot affort to lose.
  9. Of course, they were going up against two of the very best pass rushers in the league. That would make any OT's look below average, right?
  10. How about convincing OBJ to move back to the Right side and draft a top LT with 4 years of college experience? Move up in the draft to do so. OBJ is much better at RT, and the Ravens knew that. OBJ probably has too much pride to go along with that. It's the reason he didn't renew with the Raven to start with.
  11. Yeah. Pigmy goats live 5-10 years, and both of those guys died at age 15. So, they got their time in. It is amazing that so many years have passed since you were at area 52. Not too many forums have folks who know each other personally that long.
  12. I don't know. Maybe eggs. I just don't know which comes first.
  13. Did you see Adams push the guy with the microphone down? Worst behavior by a Raiders WR I've heard of in years..........except for the guy he replaced (cough cough)
  14. Spot on prediction. I thought the same thing. That makes us both geniuses.
  15. By the way, Mex. The goats both died in June about a week apart. They were ancient. The one had a heatsroke. And the other died of a broken heart, because of the first one. No more Oscar and Felix. I am officially goatless. I aim to keep it that way.
  16. Those are the folks who live in Urbana, Illinois, aren't they?
  17. Not anymore. At least that is what he told me.
  18. I love all the enthusiastic conclusions about all of this, but I believe we ought to win tomorrow and next week before getting that excited. We could easily lose both....then what will you be saying? Don't want to be a downer, but sometimes too much upper leads to the biggest downer of all.
  19. It's sad. The division is much better and more interesting when Denver is strong. I remember when the Chiefs were the ones suffering. But then we went and fixed it all by drafting Blackledge.
