I'll tell you what, Balt. Patrick Mahomes has gigantic influence on who gets to play. If he develops chemistry with this guy and tells Andy he wants him in there, he will be in there. Mahomes is the main guy who will determine who plays receiver. You can count on that.

This guy is beginning to sound like poison for the locker room atmosphere. Not because of his personality, but because he seems to be more about cashing in than winning. I hope we don't sign him.

Remember when the Chiefs had a really good player or two every year who just wanted out so that they could play with a winning team? The same kinds of stories would go around, and teams would laugh and then take us for a ride on a deal. We would mostly not hear these stories, only that someone wanted out. It was no fun. Watched it off and on for decades. Now WE get to laugh. I like it much better this way.

Right. Makes no sense. Our RB room is already crowded and very, very good. But if it is the right price, I suppose ihe can be used as trade bait when some team with a shallow RB room gets a major camp injury. We could swap him to some team for a mid round draft pick where Veach seems to shine. Value is value, I guess, whether the position is really needed.

Most everyone would be disappointed, I'm afraid. We need to keep and pay our proven stars.
If we are going to pick up a few expensive FA's, they need to be proven and mid-career at the latest, not late career and too expensive. We need to get at least three good years out of them, maybe four. Pay Breeland instead.

For me, the real sin is not the headline, but misspelling Mahomes. It's a travesty, I tell ya. You need to slink away into the living room and have a big bowl of freshly popped kettle corn and think about your sins.
