  1. Reid loves him some fullbacks. Should help in crucial short yardage, either as a blocker or in some bizarre trick play he has designed for one special moment, something that that the opponent will never guess or be ready for but which will win the game. Otherwise, just a ST guy or an emergency extra blocker.
  2. Xen, why haven't you provided us with an "almost peed my pants" emoji?
  3. I think a lot of this argument has to do with pass defense. When Mahomes is ahead late, the opponent has to pass to catch up. The same is true for LJ, but with a better pass defense, the Ravens will intercept more of those attempts and turn them into points. So, the point differential would be greater. I'm just speculating, but it is possible that the difference could be more about the pass rush and the secondary. Also, Reid tends to be more conservative with a lead and milks the clock rather than run up the score. I would rather see him try to run up the score more, but you can't argue much with a 15-1 record and two consecutive SB appearances and God knows how many division championships. i just wish Reid would put the hammer down more, even though it makes other teams mad enough to be more aggressive the next time they play us.
  4. I agree, DRob is best at ST's and as a third or fourth receiver. We had better hope that Pringle is ready to be #2 after losing Watkins. I think Pringle will put up good #2 numbers and really help on returns and in blocking.
  5. Agree. Not only have I remained impressed with him when the ball comes his way (not often) but he is a fine blocker and an essential cog on special teams. People consistently think about offense and defense at this time of year, but the ST's are a third of the game and the reason teams often keep players that the fans are not impressed with. Special teams are taken for granted. Sorenson is another guy like that. As for me, I would have not been happy if DRob had been lost.
  6. 🤣 🤣😂 A long Schwartz will always rise to the occasion.
  7. Yes, but there are many versatile linemen who can switch quickly to either and play at a decent backup level without costing you a game. Obviously, though, a starter counted on as being superior should not even be asked to do that.
  8. Everyone keeps forgetting that Schwartz or even Fisher could be healed in time and be re-signed. Still, either of those two would be a stopgap for a drafted LT to develop for a year.
  9. Cosmi is a project. Young and undeveloped. Nowhere close to being a starter from what i have read. The middle three on the list could start immediately. I don't know about Little. This year, we need a starter. That much is obvious, at least at this point. If Fisher or Schwartz were re-signed, then Cosmi could have a chance to develop behind him. Give me Jenkins.
  10. It takes about 5 years for an o-lineman to reach his peak. I don't think Wylie will ever be really good, but it is much too early to say that he will not be an excellent backup.
  11. From what I read somewhere in the last week, there is a real chance that we could re-sign Schwartz after the dust settles and disc heals. It might even be a plan. If they merely needed to clear away some protruding disc material, the operation is simple, the rehab is quick, and the results are longlasting. If this is what the Chiefs and Schwartz are thinking, we might see it in the draft strategy.
  12. Now someone is making sense. And his name is SEMO. And all it takes is something called "logic."
  13. That would work! A GREAT signing. Brian Waters quality. No one like him since BW. Interior O-line now much, much better. A real pocket for Mahomes and running lanes to the left for CEH.
