  1. I hope you are wrong. I've read otherwise, but I read a lot of worthless stuff. Just my nature 🤓
  2. Wanya Morris is huge, tall, and very athletic. 3rd round last year. He was already pretty good as a rookie. He can play either LT or RT. I don't think we can find anyone in this year's draft that is as likely to be as good, and he has plenty of experience. With another offseason, he will become more balanced with the run game and pass game. I don't think we need to try to get a LT in the draft until the following year. I really think Morris can be dominant, especially after another offseason with Andy Heck.
  3. That's definitely an issue, too. But let's face it. We worried some about Sneed's knee, and it factored into the decision. Risky knees and risky blood are both medical issues AND team issues.
  4. Thinking of guards, I am still worried about Trey Smith as much as when we got him because of his serious blood clotting episode that resulted in a spontaneous deep vein clot in his leg before we drafted him. We have been very lucky that he has avoided a recurrence, because those things can break off and go the lungs and kill you. A young person does not get that out of the blue unless he has an inherited defect in the coagulation system. He may never have another or he may have one in a year or ten. Either way, he has been lucky so far. Re-signing him might not be the smartest thing, as good as he is. It would be best IMO to pick up an OG in this coming draft and let Andy Heck go to work on him.
  5. Yeah, I was aware of the rolling over cap space to subsequent years. Yes, two round 3 picks. The way you posted before sounded like there were two others besides our own instead of one other. Anyway, good compendium. Obviously, there is so much that is unknown with comp picks etc. It sure seems like next year, there will be enough capital to really get one or two huge splash players or maybe one and pay our own best guys into new contracts.
  6. True. Hadn't thought about that. I assume you mean one of the thirds (they will have two, right?)
  7. You mean bad. I think they are going to middle of the road now due to Sneed and other moves
  8. How much can you move up using only a 7th rounder as bait. We don't get the third round pick until 2025. Not much of an incentive. Maybe move up one spot for a seventh rounder?
  9. If he spends the saved money on keeping Creed Humphrey a year from now, I will be a happy camper.
  10. I wish I could say I am happy. We will miss Sneed. All in all, though, he was a 4th rounder, and the secondary is the deepest part of the team. Nothing stays the same. This coming season we will have Brown and Rice and maybe a great rookie or a FA who is very strong at the catch point.. We will be more balanced. Will the O score more points than we surrender? That is the only question. I think they will. But the playoffs will be more difficult, because all of those kinds of teams have good defenses and a great #1 receiver who we will not be able to shut down. Would we be able to stop Tyreek Hill, for instance? I don't think so. Sneed is one remarkable CB.
  11. I don't think a 3rd alone is enough. Although a lot of great players come out of the third round, they are just as likely to be deficient or very "meh," or even a bust. I think Sneed is not slowing down, his knee not an issue, and he will still be top-of-the-line for at least two or three more years. The money savings on a draftee would be huge, though. IVIT.
  12. It's awfully early still. A lot of things can happen. A lot of different scenarios. To me, the worst that could happen is that he would play for us this season on the tag. OMG! NOT SNEED! I WOULD HATE TO SEE HIM OUT THERE!
  13. Afterwards, he said, "cigar." He was not taken into custody after the police learned that the cigar was not lit. He told them it could've been worse. Furthermore, he said, "I love my cigar, but I take it out of her cheek once in a while.
  14. The terms of the post-nup were unacceptable to her, so she said "close, but no cigar." That's when it happened.
  15. Ahhh. That's it. I know kick returns is Remigio's best thing.
  16. I was wondering the same thing. Maybe a kickoff return competition in camp?
  17. I think mainly, Remigio is a kickoff return candidate.
  18. Learning to be an O-lineman, as you know, is one of the most difficult positions in all of sports. It is so intricate and subtle. It takes an O-lineman several years to reach a peak. I don't know why I'm writing that. You know it more that I do. If Wanya has a good brain and is willing to learn, has good ooaches, attitude, and patience, he can be a great tackle. Not many guys have all those things besides athleticism and size. A lot of them are very immature. You and I know these guys are kids. When I was 22 or 23, I was smart, but I was still a kid. If Wanya Morris or any of them can continue to grow up emotionally, they can be great. We talk about drafting and developing players, but much of development has to come from inside them. That is the great unknown, even to themselves much of the time. Andy is so great because, besides football, he is a father to them, and a good one.
  19. He's a lockdown corner. Without him, we wouldn't have won the championship. I think we will do just fine with him on the team on the tag.
  20. Still, if it saves cap space coming up, including next season and beyond, then we probably need to do that, even if we only get one draft pick or movement in the draft for him. Or we could get him to sign a one year deal only.
