  1. The second field goal missed was nullified by a holding penalty. Two missed. Barely made the Extra points. Later: Reid went for two up by seven instead of an extra point. 2 point failed.
  2. Watched Wk 5 30-29 win Adams and Jacobs had big games for LV. Waller was out Lots of pressure on Mahomes. Kelce 4tds, MVs good games for KC. Gay, Smith, Butker out. This game came down to Raiders 4 and 1 at midfield with plenty of time left a timeouts available. They went for it and Carr went deep with the open receivers running into each other. Game Over. Just needed a field goal to win it. Raiders also had gone for two instead of the tie earlier. Raiders matched KC in this game and should have won it. Wright Kicked a 59 yarder but missed two shorter attempts and nearly 2 extra points. Watson and Fenton gave up several big plays and PI penalties.
  3. Covering running backs out of the backfield isn’t a Las Vegas strength and expect Kansas City to exploit to the extreme. Especially considering the Raiders linebacker unit is decimated by injury and beset by ineffectiveness. The loss of middle linebacker Denzel Perryman (shoulder injury) has opened up snaps for undrafted free agent Luke Masterson and others. And like Perryman, Masterson is a better run defender than cover man. The depth at linebacker is so thin that veteran Harvey Langi was signed off the street and ended up starting against San Francisco. He played 45 snaps (67 percent of the Raiders total defensive count) and finished with nine total tackles. https://www.silverandblackpride.com/2023/1/6/23539521/raiders-chiefs-week-19-matchup-preview
  4. I could not disagree more. They absolutely hate KC. They almost beat the Niners last week. They will be up for this game. Most of their loses are in the last minutes of each game.
  5. You are so wrong about this. Big Games are a full on week of prosperity. My sports bar were huge restaurants, combination night clubs etc. The big draw was sports. They were, still are, set up like Vegas Sports Betting Lounges. Capacity 200+. We were very busy all week every week of the year. When the Big Games were in town, World Series etc, our revenue soared over 500%..
  6. Well you and I did not operate the same. What you stated is simply not reality. Let it go.
  7. It thrived because it was a home game. We had awesome business all week long. Its clear you have never owned or operated a sports bar. I have and I have that expertise. So its not just sports bars its every business. You get people in town that are from all over and emplyees like sports casters, NFL crews etc. Its business all week long, morning, noon and night.
  8. Business count on those big games and fans in KC live for the big games. I assume you are not a business owner, employee, advertiser, season ticket holder etc. To them moving that game is a very big deal. I owned a chain of sports bars and thrived when the local teams were in the playoffs. In weeks with championship games we would make 500% more.
  9. I disagree. They know they can get cut, they hate KC, they know they can drop KC from the top seed, the back up QB played really well last week and is mobile, they have lost close games to KC and this game is a chance for them to end the season on a high note. It is their superbowl.
  10. The Chiefs needed some receiver depth with Skyy Moore ruled out, and Mecole Hardman returning on a snap count. So the Chiefs have elevated receiver Ihmir Smith-Marsette from the practice squad as a standard elevation. It’s the second time the Chiefs have elevated Smith-Marsette. In Week 14 against the Broncos, Smith-Marsette played three offensive snaps and had no statistics. The Chiefs also elevated kicker Matthew Wright from the practice squad as a standard elevation. Wright tried out with the team Thursday and signed with the practice squad Friday. Veteran kicker Harrison Butker is questionable for Saturday’s game against the Raiders with back spasms. Wright went 7-of-7 on extra points and 12-of-14 on field goals in four games with the Steelers this season.
  11. Maybe not the players and team. For the city , county, state ,season ticket holders, local business, sponsors , stadium employees, advertising and for so many more it is devastating.
  12. I think this game is going to be difficult. The Raiders have nothing to lose and a win is a big deal to them.
  13. https://www.arrowheadpride.com/2023/1/6/23541479/chiefs-raiders-defense-steve-spagnuolo-ljarius-sneed-tough-sucker Sneed returned for the Chiefs’ final defensive series of the game, and the issue was later revealed to be a hip pointer. The third-year pro was held out of Tuesday’s practice, before turning in limited sessions on Wednesday and Thursday. Speaking after Thursday’s practice, Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo acknowledged Sneed is playing at an All-Pro caliber level after shadowing top opposing receivers in recent games — and the cornerback is crucial to the defense’s success. “Listen, I can’t say enough about LJ,” the coach declared. “I could talk the whole press conference on LJ Sneed. I’m a believer in LJ Sneed. I think you just said All Pro — and I think he’s already there even before all that. And we as a unit feel that way about him and know that he’s a key guy for us to be really good.” The fast turnaround from facing the Broncos to seeing the Raiders may complicate Sneed’s availability. “He didn’t get full [practice],” Spagnuolo confirmed, “because he was still feeling pain and it’s a little bit uncomfortable — but he’s a tough sucker. We need him to tough it out for this game. [The] short week made it a little bit tougher.”
  14. Be interesting to see if one of the cities potentially cheated from hosting files am immediate lawsuit. Get a court order to stop this prior to the game. Huge amount of lost revenue that is just given to another city.
  15. Why doesn't NFL have playoff scenario putting potential Bills-Bengals rematch at neutral site? https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/why-doesn-t-nfl-have-playoff-scenario-putting-potential-bills-bengals-rematch-at-neutral-site/ar-AA163lBG?cvid=67872afee3154a098ed173cf5e1978f0 Second, even though the Bengals were declared AFC North champions since they currently retain a 1½-game lead on the Baltimore Ravens, if the Ravens complete a season sweep of Cincinnati on Sunday, then the site of a potential wild-card rematch between the teams would be determined by a coin flip.
  16. Lots of potential cases. Thats not the best question. Can they win a case? I think we are going to see lots of law suits. NFL will settle vs going to trial. Dont be surprised if politicians get ramped up about this too.
  17. Glad to see the GIFSTER is back. Like this much better that irritated guy. LOL
  18. What if the score of the game was 24 to 3 at that point? Regardless of who was leading. Suddenly cancelling the game is a different issue altogether.
  19. It guarantees that there are really no rules. All rules are subject to change at anytime.
