  1. Hope you are correct. I think Chiefs get rolled if Jones & Ward are out. Titans maty set the rushing record and Chiefs get fewer possessions. Hope I am WRONG!
  2. No Jones TYREEK HILLWR, KANSAS CITY CHIEFS Chiefs declared CB Charvarius Ward, OL Austin Blythe, OT Prince Tega Wanogho, OG Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, TE Blake Bell, and DL Chris Jones inactive against the Titans. As expected, Tyreek Hill will play against the Titans after returning to practice on Friday. This game is expected to be an absolute shootout, potentially opening the door for a massive week from Patrick Mahomes and company. Hill is a no-doubt WR1 per usual against a hapless Tennessee secondary.
  3. I think Tenn passing game is more likely the issue. Henry may get a long score but when KC gets the lead then its about pass rush and secondary. Should be a very close score. KC does not turn it over, the defense gets 2 key stops and KC wins 38-34.
  4. Sure Maybe. Playoff Damien is also a good example. The oline also needs to handle the screen well and there are several players KC can use besides CEH. So I still feel you do not need a special RB to catch passes out of the backfield or be a bell cow. McKinnin is a guy & Williams has also shown he can do those things. Who knows why KC is not doing more? Really though the offense is fine but for turnovers. Yes I wish KC had used that #1 pick for defense. Hope they see the light now.
  5. It is nice to see the oline getting better each week. KC no longer needs trick plays on short yardage or red zone goal line plays. This could become very good by play off time.
  6. Andy wont run the ball like that so it hardly matters who the backs are. The last game CEH went off the holes were so huge I could have gained yards. Did Andy keep running the ball? NOPE. Its not the RBs. I dont care as long as the offense keeps humming. I would like more runs on first and goal.
  7. Cleve and Balt have proved one simple thing. If the oline is opening holes you dont need a elite talent at RB. Another guy putting up huge numbers out of nowhere.
  8. Lots of injuries. I think they get even better as some guys get healthy. Good roster depth.
  9. Yep. Baltimore knows how to build a roster. All those injuries and still playing with aggression. For now Balt is the team to beat.
  10. Chiefs discuss potential of moving Chris Jones back to defensive tackle https://www.arrowheadpride.com/2021/10/21/22738792/chiefs-discuss-potential-of-moving-chris-jones-back-to-defensive-tackle Considering the Chiefs have made several defensive changes lately, could moving Jones be among them — if he returns to the lineup against the Tennessee Titans this Sunday? “I’m not sure where we’ll be with that, yet,” said Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo on Thursday. “But he has been inside — most of it’s been third down and maybe some second-and-longs, so he hasn’t lost all the reps in there. What’s been hard is because of the injury, he hasn’t been out there doing either-or, so we’ll see where he’s at by the end of the week — but we like moving Chris around. “Sometimes, that’s dictated by the down and distance and how the play’s going — the whole thing.” At the very least, moving Jones seems to be in consideration — and a point to watch this week.
  11. Agree: His salary is a big problem. Not sure how KC fits with just around 2 million in cap space?
  12. Im hoping for pass rush help. A role player is ok. Dont give up more than a 6th or 7th round pick.
  13. Chiefs LB Nick Bolton leads all rookies in tackles through Week 6 https://chiefswire.usatoday.com/2021/10/20/kansas-city-chiefs-nick-bolton-nfl-rookie-tackle-leader-through-week-6/ Kansas City’s primary deficiency last season was their inability to stop the ground game though, and Bolton has certainly become an intimidating presence in the defensive backfield, sitting alone at the top for the Chiefs with five tackles for loss. His nose for the football when attacking downhill is undeniable and should excite fans who have clamored for better defensive output. Bolton isn’t done developing yet, still improving every week in his effort to help steer Kansas City back on track for another championship as a young budding star.
  14. Henry gets he breakout runs long runs. If you take those away he is not as scary as the talking heads make him out to be. He may get a big run against KC but thats not the game decider. Keep him pinned up on the majority of attempts and he is not unstoppable. To me its still more likely the Titans passing game hurts KC. KC defense needs a couple of stops and a turnover on defense. Offense can take care of the rest.
  15. He now has job security. Thats a good thing. It allows him to take chances and not be in fear of losing his job. Im confident KC will get on top of this. Just hope they stop shelling out big free agent money and build with the draft.
  16. Shows what a great locker room this team has when players are comfortable laughing at their mistakes. Great leadership from Mahomes sharing this.
