  1. Change me prediction to Chiefs will get blown out in prime time. 51-27. Chiefs get garbage time points.
  2. Chiefs vs. Bills: Rain and wind could have a big impact https://arrowheadaddict.com/2021/10/10/chiefs-vs-bills-rain-wind-big-impact/
  3. Two different things. He was designated to return when he sent that tweet. He was activated to the 53 yesterday thus waiving Harris to make room.
  4. I dont think they activated Gay if he is not playing. They did not need to activate him.
  5. We have activated LB Willie Gay from Injured Reserve. Gay will be listed on the injury report with a Toe injury and is Questionable for Sunday’s Game. We have activated DE Demone Harris from the Practice Squad via Standard Elevation. We have waived LB Darius Harris.

  7. THESE GUYS ARE SO FING spoiled. Willie Gay Jr. @WillieG___ I love you all just know my mental health is F’d up
  8. Chiefs DT Chris Jones (wrist) is questionable for Week 5 against the Bills. "We'll just see how he does here in the next couple days with his wrist," coach Andy Reid said. "We're trying to get it calmed down." Jones didn't practice at any point throughout the week and is considered highly questionable for Sunday night's showdown against the Bills. His status could change in the next 48 hours if his wrist heals.
  9. Both cornerback Rashad Fenton and linebacker Willie Gay Jr. are resuming practice on Wednesday, and the hope is that both will be able to play on defense this week against Josh Allen and company. Fenton has been out for a week with a concussion suffered during the team’s game in Week 3 against the Los Angeles Chargers. He was out for Week 4, but his presence back at practice makes it seem as if he’s going to be good to go for Sunday. If so, that’s an underrated addition of a guy who can play a number of spots in the Chiefs due to his versatility. As for Gay, he’s missed the entire season so far with a toe injury that’s proved much tougher to get over than anyone initially thought after he left the game against the Minnesota Vikings. He’s been on injured reserve since before the season began, but now he’s back and able to practice. If the Chiefs can get Gay back in the heart of their defense this week, it will go a long way toward improving what has been a disappointing defense overall, especially since their linebackers have looked so poor in coverage. As for Frank Clark and Charvarius Ward, both have missed the last two games with a hamstring injury and a quad injury, respectively. Fortunately they were in practice in previous weeks as well, which likely means they could have played if the game had been a bigger contest than it was.
  10. STEPHON GILMOREDB, CAROLINA PANTHERS Panthers acquired CB Stephon Gilmore from the Patriots in exchange for a 2023 sixth-round pick.
  11. I like KC in this game. Ran well against them last year & this oline is better. KC may be a team that works the clock so the other guy gets less touches. 41-38 KC. I would like to see KC stop deferring. With this defense you are giving the other team momentum & confidence. Get the ball, take the lead and keep the lead. Give the defense a chance to start off with a lead.
  12. Us older folks should avoid thinking about slipping or Last Days. LOL
  13. Maybe Machine Gun Clark will take a pay cut so KC can sign Gilmore? LOL Not likely
  14. Cowboys released LB Jaylon Smith. Smith started all 16 games for the Cowboys last season and led the team with 161 tackles, but he was frequently scrutinized for his lack of speed and, perhaps more importantly, effort. He started Weeks 2 and 3 for Dallas before playing just 40% of snaps in Week 4. The Cowboys still owe him $7.2 million for this season. He's free to sign elsewhere in the meantime
  15. Nope They could but have 21 days to decide. Chiefs designated LB Willie Gay (toe) to return from injured reserve. The move means Gay can practice for 21 days before Kansas City must make an official decision on whether to activate him to the active roster. A second-round pick in 2020, Gay was poised to start for the Chiefs after posting 39 tackles and a sack across 16 games (eight starts) as a rookie. He was placed on injured reserve with turf toe on September 2.
  16. ESPN's Field Yates reports the Patriots are "working towards a deal" with free agent LB Jamie Collins. Collins, 32 in October, was most recently released from Detroit after the Lions found no interested suitors on the trade market. His third stint with the Patriots, Collins is at least familiar with Bill Belichick's scheme and was at his best the last time he was with New England. He'll come off the bench as veteran depth when officially signed.
  17. Promoting wide receiver Josh Gordon to the active roster was not the only move of note for the Kansas City Chiefs on Tuesday. According to the league's official transaction report, the Chiefs also designated second-year linebacker Willie Gay Jr. to return from injured reserve. The Chiefs placed Gay, 23, on injured reserve after he suffered a turf toe injury during the team's final preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings. He has missed the first four regular-season games of the year. Gay was first eligible to return from the reserve list last week. Though he was spotted on the field without a helmet last week on Wednesday and Thursday during the portion of Chiefs practice open to media, the team opted to hold him back from a return against the Philadelphia Eagles. Head coach Andy Reid was asked about Gay's potential activation on Monday. "Theres' a chance," said Reid. "He was kind of getting there last week. We'll see on this, see where he's at as we go forward here. But I think he's starting to feel a little bit better, for sure." Now that Gay is designated for his return, he can fully return to practice, and the Chiefs have 21 days to see how he responds and activate him to the 53-man roster. In other moves on Tuesday, the Chiefs placed rookie defensive end Joshua Kaindoh on injured reserve and placed practice squad protections on quarterback Shane Buechele and defensive end Demone Harris.
  18. Offense (Bryan Stewart) By and large, the Chiefs’ offense had their way with the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. As most teams continue to do, the Eagles elected to play deep coverages, daring Patrick Mahomes and company to play a disciplined, methodical style of offense. That’s exactly what they did. The offensive line completely owned the line of scrimmage when it came to the run game, and it enabled running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire to rush for his second straight 100-yard game — with an excellent average of 7.3 yards per carry. It was great to see on the heels of my most recent film review detailing CEH’s carries against the Chargers. It cannot be understated how well this new offensive line is gelling right now, considering the quality of opponent they just faced that is the Eagles’ defensive line. The team had over 200 rushing yards in total. Lucas Niang and Orlando Brown Jr. each surrendered a little pressure early in the game, but the negatives were quiet up front beyond that. Then there was the passing offense, headlined by Patrick Mahomes and Tyreek Hill, who connected for three touchdowns alone. Mahomes finished 24 of 30 for 278 passing yards, 9.3 yards per attempt, five passing touchdowns and one interception.
  19. This is who the KC Defense is. This is what I expect the rest of the season. Lack of talent, a few more injuries and poor depth = 2018 all over again. KC still wins it all.
  20. Good points. Of course that assumes Hill stays healthy. Chiefs need receivers that will step up if Hill or Kelce are out. Adding Gordan gives them an additional option.
  21. Chiefs coach Andy Reid said Josh Gordon has a chance to play in Week 5 against the Bills. Reid added that he wants to make sure Gordon has a firm grasp on the playbook before letting him play. The Cheifs have been unable to find consistent production from a second receiver this year. Mecole Hardman is third on the team with 123 receiving yards.
  22. “Theres’ a chance,” said Reid when it came to Gay’s potential activation this week. “He was kind of getting there last week. We’ll see on this, see where he’s at as we go forward here. But I think he’s starting to feel a little bit better, for sure.”
