  1. This is what it is. Veach did not deal with it. Mahomes will need to be perfect for KC to win most games.
  2. Chiefs CB Charvarius Ward (quad) is inactive for Week 3 against the Chargers. Ward joins DE Frank Clark (hamstring) on the shelf. They are two huge losses for a projected shootout. It is basically the last thing the Chiefs' struggling defense needed. Joining Ward and Clark on the shelf are WR Daurice Fountain, OL Laurent Duvernay-Tardif and OL Austin Blythe.
  3. The bottom line...AP After Kansas City’s Week 2 loss to the Ravens, I pointed out that since Mahomes became the team’s starting quarterback, the team stands 21-2 in all games where opponents have gained at least five yards per rushing attempt. Before the team was defeated in Baltimore, the only other such game was the 35-32 regular-season road loss to the Tennessee Titans in 2019. So the idea that the team’s poor run defense is a problem that will somehow prevent the team from a winning season is demonstrably false; running the ball “down the Chiefs’ throat” is not a “blueprint to defeat them.” Since Mahomes arrived, multiple teams have tried to beat Kansas City in exactly that way — and they have consistently failed. Mahomes (along with a competent pass defense) is the ace that will beat any face card that a strong rushing attack will provide. https://www.arrowheadpride.com/2021/9/25/22691781/take-a-deep-breath-theres-no-reason-to-panic-about-the-kansas-city-chiefs-defense
  4. Yes I agree but Tampa took a chance on Brown & won a super bowl as a wild card team.
  5. I just dont see the discussion as the sky is falling. Maybe for a few. Its a discussion about the defense. The Chargers are also a good team so if some are predicting a loss thats understandable.
  6. Veach gets a free pass from most here. I also think its easy to assume the bench guy will perform better.
  7. I knew you were joking. That had nothing top do with my added comments.
  8. Yep, Clark " The Gangster Millionaire" is just playing out his time in KC. I doubt he is around come play off time. He spent his off season working out his trigger finger.
  9. KC can still out score anyone. How much worse can the defense play. Its just easier to accept the defense will stink and root for Mahomes.
  10. I could care less what Hands thinks. Im stating a fact. I dont want anyone injured but its the NFL. Thats why KC went out to protect their Superstar. You dont see Mahomes even running sneaks anymore. Baltimore is putting theirs at risk every play to win today vs long term. Its will happen unless they change the gameplan to protect Jackson.
  11. Yep. Spags blew it with his public comments. Very unprofessional.
  12. No way to know if Ward was the second best rusher. Totally unproven player. Yet second best rusher may be awful on this team. I dont see KC rushing the passer this year. This will look like the Raiders defgense. Its all on the Offense
  13. They are not out yet. Just questionable. Hell Bosa is questionable.
  14. Chiefs coach Andy Reid said DE Frank Clark strained his hamstring during Thursday's practice. Both Charvarius Ward (quad) are Clark are "getting treatment" ahead of Sunday's showdown against the Chargers. Even Ward's loss would be huge since he soaked up 97% of Kansas City's defensive snaps against the Ravens in Week 2. Both should be considered hig
  15. Sure its easy to have fun with that. Jackson was MVP. The current offense works based on his abilty to scramble and run. He is not just a runner. So when he goes down the Ravens will be paying Big Bucks for a guy that can no longer do that job. So now they have CAP issues and need to rework their offense and find a top QB. Its just a matter of time. The next play could be his last.
  16. My guess. Is KC does see the problems clearly. The difference is they dont see better options on the roster. Im sure they would like more talent. NFL Salary Cap works.
