  1. There are many other examples of backs having success that were undrafted or off the street. Baltimore was on a short week with three guys that were nobody. They played with back up oline guys. They torched KC. Get a little perspective yourself DUDE.
  2. Reid addressed the Chiefs’ problems in the red zone. The red zone was the point of focus for the Chiefs’ defense this offseason. The unit has been openly talking about the improvement necessary since March. To start the season, opposing offenses have scored touchdowns eight times in eight tries. “Spags (Steve Spagnuolo) spent a lot of time in the offseason with that,” acknowledged Reid. “We worked it a ton in camp, and we haven’t had the results here. We’ll keep pounding that out until we get it right. It’s one of those things, everything gets magnified when you’re in the red zone, whether it’s good or bad. Even if you’re not tackling in the field, and it doesn’t happen in the red zone, you’re not giving up blocks up the field, then it’s going to get magnified in the red zone. “Everything’s a little bit faster and all your strengths and weaknesses get magnified. So, you’ve got to make sure that you kind of get these fundamentals down and take care of it.”
  3. According to the Sunday Night Football gamebook, safety Juan Thornhill played the least of those defenders with snaps against the Ravens, coming in at 11 plays. Veteran safety Daniel Sorensen player 100% of defensive snaps, or 76 plays. “Juan and Dan, they do certain things the same and a couple things different,” said Reid. “It all kind of equals out, and Dan really had the better camp and so on. Maybe a little bit more consistency there, but we love Juan and where he’s getting himself back to where he was his rookie year. I don’t want to take anything way from the effort that he’s put forward to do that. They all get a chance to play. I think we’ll take it step by step here and can’t have enough of those guys that can play.” Some figured Thornhill might get the nod next to Tyrann Mathieu in his return to the lineup after Thornhill had an excellent second half against the Cleveland Browns. Not to be, at least on Sunday night.
  4. Good for you. Me neither. Its a discussion. Its a conversation. Its a critique. Its worthless banter. SEE MY NEW AVATAR FOR MORE INSIGHT
  5. Wow. So its he is or he isnt? Then I say he is not a complete draft bust. There you go.
  6. Last time I will comment on this. Using a #1 pick for KC on a RB was poor judgement when you defense needs help. See my new avatar for further insight.
  7. I did not say he is a bust. Did not say that ever. I said its a waste of a first round pick when you need defense. NOw Kc is paying that price. I would feel the same if CEH had better numbers too.
  8. And these guys are always there at some point in the season.
  9. Yes he was picked up after being released. Off the street. I do not think CEH is a complete bust. I think using a #1 pick was a waste when you need defense.
  10. Again you miss the point. Its a wasted first round pick. Tampa Bay won it all with a guy off the street. Yes if the oline blocked better, if Andy called the plays and blah blah blah. With all those ifs Im saying any decent RB can pick up yards. CEH is not special. Chiefs would be a much better defense if those high picks were used on defense vs the Clarks of the world. Im not talking about the loss. CEH was not why KC lost. The defense is putrid.
  11. College is not the NFL. Hey I hope the guy becomes a total beast. I really do.
  12. My point is you can get a guy off the street to do that. Light box? See Ravens vs Chiefs results with guys off the street and a short week and injured oline.
  13. Me: Frank Clark has the Answers. The millionaire gangster speaks. AP Article Clark said that he and his defensive teammates had to take responsibility for their own errors in the game. “In the future, we’ve just got to limit the mistakes — the missed tackles. Of course, when you miss over 10 tackles in a game, that’s cause for devastation for a defense. You’ve got to make the tackles — especially when you’re going against a strong offense like the Ravens.” The seventh-year veteran said that NFL defensive players only have limited chances to work specifically on their tackling. “Well, when you’ve got that one day when you can tackle — and it is [in] pads — the emphasis is on striking,” he noted. “The emphasis is on tackling. So that’s when you’ve got to pop those pads a little bit more.” But Clark said that players don’t always make full use of those opportunities. “You can’t go into practice running by plays — the plays where you can get a little more aggressive — you can’t ‘tag off’ on guys and stuff like that,” he explained. “Sometimes you get lax when you do that; you’re coming off games where it was a hard game — a lot of hitting and stuff — so guys are sore. It’s just putting the emphasis on that in practice when we do have those pads on [for] that day of the week. “It’s just taking full advantage: going out there and competing and having fun with it — but also understanding that this is going to transfer over to the game in the future.”
  14. Chiefs defense should play the red rover red rover send anybody over , defense scheme. This defense is on Veach. Poor drafts and one good free agent signing. Trading away picks like they are jelly beans. Then sign that player to a mega contract. This defense is on Veach. Not much talent and a bunch of other guys trash. " One mans trash is another mans potpourri".
  15. They were missing 8 starters and 14 guys. KC was playing their Junior Varsity Team.
  16. Im leaning toward coaches having to choose between shit and crap.
  17. Defense is complete swiss cheese. The identity is clear. Its one of the weakest defenses in the NFL.
  18. Yep Ravens Kicked Ass and Took Names. Only advantage KC has is Mahomes. The Ravens proved they have a much better roster and completely out coached KC. Ravens earned the win.
  19. This topic should be moved. This is not about the Chiefs.
