  1. Maybe. How about Hill with a direct snap on this play.?
  2. Yes. I simply turn off all the media BS after a loss. I make an effort to not place too much importance on a win. Best of all its not likely to happen often. So just get into the playoffs. Wild card or whatever. TB proved you dont need the best record to win it all. I think that first round by stuff is not worth the stress. Looking forward to another enertaining Chiefs season.
  3. I am not we. I just enjoy the game. Great that KC always has a chance. For many years that was not the case. So I will roll with the good times hoping for the best.
  4. I think we can combine these two threads. Trying to find cause for pessimism LOL
  5. Has Joe Thuney played tackle? Thuney has spent the majority of his career in the NFL at left guard, but he's also demonstrated the ability to play elsewhere along the offensive line. Thuney has lined up at center and offensive tackle during his professional career, making two starts at center in 2020, Thuney later elaborated a bit on his positional versatility in an exclusive interview on KCSP-AM 610 Sports Radio in Kansas City. “So I started two games last season at center and then filled a little bit at left tackle in 2019 at the end of one of the games,” Thuney said. “The rest of my career has all been at left guard. So a little variety, but like I said, I just want to be on the field in any capacity, anyway. It doesn’t really matter, I just want to be out there playing with the guys and trying to contribute with winning.”
  6. Agree but he may be fine with a more limited role. Seems to really LOVE KC AREA and the TEAM. Nothing wrong with an extra million or two and a SB RING.
  7. Video https://youtu.be/gTQNgyW6odI “Yeah, I’d say still current NFL player,” said Schwartz. “You know, I’m in the last stages of recovery here hoping to kind of get over this final hump. It’s taken a little longer than I would have liked or we would have liked but once I’m 100% fully ready to go, I think I can make that decision and figure out what’s next for me.” Schwartz went on to say that he is still dealing with pain and until he feels like he can get back the way he has felt the last nine years and play at his usual high level, talk of a return is kind of a “moot point.” Even if Schwartz does get fully recovered some time this season, there is no telling wether or not the Chiefs would be interested in re-signing him. Obviously, signing a healthy Mitchell Schwartz would be a no-brainer for the Chiefs or any other NFL team but the Chiefs have had to move on and should Lucas Niag be playing well at RT, it might not make sense for the Chiefs to bring Schwartz back.
  8. You may be misinformed. Just because you cant find it in writing does not mean he did not say it. For me its just fun to think about Sunday Football. I choose not to worry about things until it actually shows up.
  9. I think Veach stated Thuney is a potential LT prior to trading for Brown. So Thuney moves over and the other guys fill in at left guard.
  10. Agree. Yet todays strength is one injury away from not. If Niang is hurt or not what KC is expecting Schwartz could be THE GUY. Seems he loves KC.
  11. 2. OT Mitchell Schwartz The Kansas City Chiefs’ decision to move on from right tackle Mitchell Schwartz earlier this offseason was a bit surprising. While Schwartz missed 10 regular-season games and the playoffs with a back injury, he had never previously sat out a contest. A first-team All-Pro in 2018, the 32-year-old should remain one of the league’s most reliable right tackles if healthy. While his back surgery may give some teams pause, Schwartz recently shared a workout video suggesting that he is at least close to 100 percent. A return to Kansas City to provide depth would make a lot of sense this late in the preseason, as the learning curve would be minimal. The Steelers would also be a logical landing spot. He would be a more proven option than Zach Banner, who has only two career starts. Best Fits: Kansas City Chiefs, Pittsburgh Steelers
  12. Yes. Long offseason. This will soon be replaced by pissing and moaning..
  13. I did not say AS wasnt a great influence. Even if KC lost more games with Mahomes he would have played better & better and maybe still gone further in the playoffs. Smith is a great person no question.
  14. Sure: Maybe KC gets in as a wild card. I like Mahomes in the playoffs way better. He grew up with Elite Athletes all around him. So this stage was never to big. This veteran mentoring stuff is BS to me. Mahomes arrived mature, balanced, experienced and not in AWE. KC drafted him because they new Smith would never get it done. Now if Farve or Brady were the mentor I get that. Smith could have mentored from the bench.
  15. I think KC could have started Mahomes game one and went further in the play offs.
  16. WILLIE GAYLB, KANSAS CITY CHIEFS Chiefs placed LB Willie Gay on injured reserve with turf toe. Ticketed for a starting role, the No. 63 overall pick of last year's draft reportedly had a "terrific camp." He will now miss at least three games, though there is a chance he returns after missing the minimum amount of time. Gay's injury will mean a big e
  17. Good points. Most of these guys cleared waivers so maybe a few in the entire league will become good NFL players. After all ,including the practice squad , somebody is #69.
  18. The Chiefs freed up cap space by renegotiating Andrew Wylie’s contract. Between all of the competition, the Chiefs had some leverage and apparently decided to use it to earn a bit of a discount on Wylie, giving him a guaranteed spot in exchange for the cap space. Wylie’s original deal was set to be $2.133 million as a restricted free agent, but now the Chiefs will only guarantee $920K (numbers per OTC). It’s a good thing the Chiefs brought back Wylie for another season in the end, because he’s been a very undervalued member of this organization for the last few years. Wylie is a better performer up front than some realize and he’s versatile to step up and play immediate reps at either guard spot. While the Chiefs have others who can do the same, the team learned hard lessons last year about how injuries can cascade and ruin a season.
  19. Well at the very least he is correct about fans and press not knowing. Ive seen mostly positive posts from HB. He has team first attitude.
  20. Im not puzzled because I dont have all the insider info, film and experience. Im just a fan with a worthless opinion. Im ok with that. GO CHIEFS>
  21. So your think the Chief Brass are asses? Not Competent? Blind? Sorry you feel this way.
