  1. Sure that makes sense. I also think Tampa Bay was simply the better team on that day. KC was over due for a poor outing..
  2. TB got hot last year. Very beat-able at times. My bet is they dont advance far in the playoffs if in it at all. They had their DAMN YANKESS MOMENT.
  3. Ranking all 32 NFL defensive line units ahead of the 2021 season | PFF
  4. So its funny. Chiefs have an awful run defense yet many think guys like Nadi are underrated. Really? . Well some-bodies on that line must be overrated. LOL
  5. Maybe, that was based on the lack of talent vs preference? Spags adjusted based on what he had to work with?
  6. Reids son may have been an issue coaching this group. Glad he is replaced.
  7. Patrick Mahomes complimented WR Cornell Powell's contested catch ability during Kansas City's OTAs. Mahomes described Powell, the team's fifth round pick out of Clemson, as a "beast." "He's big out there, running across the field and making some big catches in some tough, contested spots," Mahomes said. The aged rookie, who enters the NFL at 24, had an excellent final year at Clemson, catching 53 passes for 882 yards and seven touchdowns in 2020. Powell last year had four receptions of at least 50 yards and at least one 20-yard reception in seven of his final eight games. Playing time could be hard to come by for Powell in 2021, though injuries or struggles among the Chiefs' tertiary wideouts could give the rookie a shot at fantasy relevance in KC's high-powered offense.
  8. Agree. But: Andy calls the plays and can force it a little. When Mahomes gets the short game down , CEH more invploved, he will be in control like THE HATED BRADY.
  9. Early prediction. Chiefs go 12-5. KC is due for some bad luck and close losses. Home field is not important. See TB. So the good thing is KC can rest plyers several weeks and get the back ups in more often during games. Still win the division.
  10. All good points. Im hoping Andy just stops the trick plays , gets Patrick to check down and play some small ball. I have not see Mahomes play that check down game often or effective with his short passes.
  11. Lack of a real pass rush hurt the secondary. I dont see any great improvement this year in pass rushing. Maybe more Blitz with linebackers? Clark has shown he is not an elite talent and I have no reason to think that will change. Bend dont break and let the offense dominate.
  12. These twits dont actually do play by play anymore. They do their talk show BS critiques and player rumors while the game is being played. Second guessing the play calls and perpetuating gossip. Got get the BRADY stuff in all game long not to mention worthless guest interviews. I turn the volume off and listen to the radio broadcasts on NFL Gameday.
  13. PER AP In general, his movement skills could be better; he won’t be the cornerback that’s glued to a receiver step for step throughout the entire route. He’s not as comfortable in off-ball coverage; he would much rather line up in press and use his physicality to initially re-direct the receiver. Fortunately, the Chiefs like to put their cornerbacks in press techniques for that exact reason. The bottom line Hughes absolutely fits what the Chiefs have typically wanted in their cornerbacks, and he should immediately be competing for one of the three starting positions in nickel formations. He’s played most of his career on the boundary, but he also has plenty of slot experience. As long as he is healthy — which has not been the case for most of his three-year NFL career — Hughes should raise the overall performance of the Chiefs’ secondary. He enters the final year of his rookie contract, meaning he’ll have every reason to be motivated to play the best football of his life.
  14. YEP. CEH should be a weapon out of the backfield.
  15. Gray lined up at a variety of spots last season at Duke, recording snaps in the slot (237), in-line (139) and in the backfield (120). He's also as sure-handed as they come. According to Pro Football Focus, Gray dropped just three passes out of 107 catchable targets during his career. With the 162nd pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Kansas City #Chiefs select Noah Gray, TE, Duke • 178th Overall, TE7 on PFF Big Board 2020 • 61.7 Overall • 63.4 Receiving 2019 • 61.8 Overall • 63.9 Receiving Career • 944 Yards • 8 Touchdowns • 2.8% Drop
  16. I think he plays week 1. Even if its just base defense.
  17. Yep. We never really save lives but lives can be extended. He has every right to take a risk. We only live once.
  18. This is a veteran that fits a BIG CHIEF NEED NOW! Probably Low Cost & Role vs Lots of Snaps. Not washed up. For Justin Houston, he’s now facing the reality that the door has officially closed with the Indianapolis Colts. And fans of his former team, the K.C. Chiefs, are wondering whether he might be a part of the future once again. With the selection of two prospects to go with the incumbents on the roster, it looked as if there might not be room for Houston to return. The Colts had previously signed away Houston from K.C. on a two-year deal in free agency, a stint in which Houston proved he still had plenty left in the tank with 53 quarterback pressures and 19 total sacks.
  19. His interview with Schwartz seems to indicate he has limited # of practices.
