  1. With Job Security Veach can take some high reward risks. Other GMs not so much.
  2. With Bell back and Gray KC has some much better options this season. How about Bell lined up on that left side! CEH Unstoppable. Kelce can get a few extra plays off. I really like Gray. Be fun to see Gray & Kelce lined up outside on 4th and 2.
  3. Veach is still learning. I think he nailed this entire offseason.
  4. 17 games this year. I think the roster will have all the draft picks included and at least 8 -10 of last years guys gone. Neiman & Thomas are gone.
  5. Its hard to predict what vets. Veach is great at the right guy for the role needed. So I will trust his moves. If he is looking there must be a need or concern.
  6. He did have the Pressure on JG in the SB that caused the overthrow.
  7. Middle of the season. Still he took reps from young guys.
  8. Which current roster guys do you think are most likely gone?
  9. Suggs is an example of a Vet Player that KC picked up. I doubt KC wins the SB without his role & contributions. Old yes. Helpful Very. I think Ingram could replace Neiman.
  10. Was Reid JR a linebacker coach? Maybe this case is coaching or Spags just not trusting Gay? Maybe Gay was not practicing well?
  11. Bingo. Always look at the bottom guys on the roster and try to replace them.
  12. Exactly . If the younger guy has it going on then the veteran will get less reps and eventually sit. See Bell.
  13. I do see your concern and do agree. In a perfect world nobody gets injured or DUI or? I couple of vets may be the difference in a playoff win or loss. This is a playoff team. If someone is available now they may not be available later. If someone is waived later KC is at the end of the claiming pool. Todays depth is tomorrows nightmare. Yes I would be careful who I bring in at this point. Im sure KC is also aware and careful.
  14. Ok I get it. Every player needs an opportunity to show what they can do and willingness to improve. Yes some young guys may get overlooked. Who are your top KC young guys you are concerned could be dumped or overlooked with a veteran signing?
  15. I cant think of too many young unproven KC guys that have been cut and gone on to be stars. There are some for sure and every team has some regrets.
  16. Reid talks positive about everyone and still cuts are made. Best News: Is Reid and Co are making these decisions not us. So we shall see what they think is best.
  17. Yes and most grade everyone high. I guess they dont use a curve. Same as when picks are being made. This guy that and this guy will. Blah Blah Blah. Lots of airtime to cover and negativity/controversy creates anger= ratings. I try to avoid the talking heads.
  18. 17 game season. Gets some big leads and let the backups, like Gray, get some reps while resting the #1s. Even one series in the 3rd quarter gives guys some rest into the 4th quarter.
  19. I guess it depends who you are cutting? Training camp usually provides competition. I actually agree with you. If the youngster shows enough you keep that future. Reality is every season we think KC is cutting some really good players ,yet few if any of those cuts are picked up by other teams.
  20. Taco has proven nothing. Clark struggles. One key injury then who? The vets are no guarantee either. Another cheap asset. Potential is nice. We have watched lots of potential , Speaks-Kpass etc, fail too. If a Vet is better than the weakest link then I say go vet. One year low cost.
  21. Because they will likely be cheap too and ready fits in specific roles. Ingram for Pass Rush. Also guys get hurt often. 17 games plus playoffs. Yes young guys need some opportunities but a good Vet with this SB bound team is a difference maker too! Who knows if they will disappoint? Chiefs need lots of pass rush help.
  22. Richard Sherman (49ers) Bashaud Breeland (Chiefs) Casey Hayward Jr. (Chargers) Steven Nelson (Steelers) Brian Poole (Jets)
  23. K.J. Wright (Seahawks) Vince Williams (Steelers) B.J. Goodson (Browns) De'Vondre Campbell (Cardinals) Kwon Alexander (Saints),
  24. Melvin Ingram (Chargers) Justin Houston (Colts) Ryan Kerrigan (Washington) Olivier Vernon (Browns)
