  1. Huh. Two straight years AFC Champs. I dont live in the Superbowl win or life sucks world. I dont live in the distant past either. Just enjoying a very good Chiefs team now because that can change in a heartbeat.
  2. Im not talking about the board members. Im referring to the talking heads and their BS analysis. Its my opinion not a negative toward others. I look at it this way. Does it help KC win more games? Answer YES.
  3. Yes. Its possible. It seems KC is in the win it now mode a bit more than building for the future. Thus signing veteran proven production now vs potential. Hope Veach nails the draft.
  4. To me. None of this ranking, slotting and formulas are worth a S**T. Its simple, How many more games does the team win. Its about wins. Balt could draft the greatest player in NFL history with #31. Still comes down to wins. No doubt KC will win more games with Brown than without. The rest is just useless chatter.
  5. Deja Vue: Host three straight AFC Championship Games while Ravens are watching at home. I love Deja Vue.
  6. I dont listen to that BS. Its as bad as politics.
  7. That makes sense. Why draft a RB at #1? Hoping they get CH in the passing game this season.
  8. I would be happy with all defense picks. Can find a veteran wide receiver in FA. Pick all defense and you may hit on two or three.
  9. I think Reid was executing a more run focused gameplan early last season. Injuries changed that. Looking forward to seeing what Clydes-dale can do this season. Should be way more balanced.

  11. I think KC will always be offense focused. Its the defense that will suffer at some point.
  12. KC run game may now be a real asset. Clyde may thrive. I dont think this deal helps Balt beat KC. So there is that.
  13. Sure If KC wins the SB its perfect. Its a one year win like Clark. I have no problem hoping this is the best trade ever and being wrong. Veach needs to do a better job with the top tier picks to avoid these types of deals being needed year after year. Most do not work out.
  14. I agree 100%. Trading for guys and having to pay them too is a Frank Clark move once again. Veach puts KC in this position with average or below average drafting. If Kc did not have Mahomes this is an average roster and a very average team.
  15. Chiefs re-signed S Daniel Sorensen to a one-year contract. Sorensen, who started 11 games for the Chiefs in 2020, recorded three interceptions, five passes defensed, and had two forced fumbles. He also played nearly 40 percent of the team's special teams snaps in 2020. He'll return to his versatile role in the KC secondary, which Pro Football Focus graded as the league's 13th best last year.
  16. Chiefs signed DT Jarran Reed, formerly of the Seahawks, to a one-year, $7 million contract. Reed's contract features $5 million in guarantees. The Seahawks attempted to trade Reed after a contract dispute but weren't able to find any bidders. They ultimately released him a year after re-signing him to a two-year contract. Reed played all 16 games for the Seahawks last season and racked up 6.5 sacks plus a forced fumble. He peeked at an impressive 10.5 sacks three years ago. Now 28 years old, Reed projects as a high-end rotational player for the Chiefs. He'll join a loaded defensive line alongside Chris Jones and Frank Clark. Despite the Kansas City offense being their calling card, they've also managed to form a talented pass-rushing and remain the team to beat in the AFC.
  17. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports the Chiefs have "checked in on" free agent OT Russell Okung. It's the first known interest in Okung, who has yet to take a free agent visit. Okung was limited to seven games with a calf injury last year, but he played effectively when healthy, allowing just 13 pressures on 260 pass-blocking snaps. The 32-year-old seems likely to settle for another one-year deal this offseason
  18. In 2020, Sorensen made a $3.6 million base salary with a $1 million signing bonus for a cap hit of $4.75 million. Teope later reported Sorensen’s 2021 figure at $2.46 million deal fully guaranteed. In 15 games (11 starts) in 2020, he finished with 91 tackles (68 solo), five passes defensed, two forced fumbles and three interceptions.
  19. The Kansas City Chiefs are finalizing a one-year deal with veteran safety Daniel Sorensen, according to Herbie Teope of The Kansas City Star. For the second season in a row, the highlight of Sorensen’s year came in the team’s Divisional round playoff game. His thunderous hit on Cleveland Browns wide receiver Rashard Higgins forced a fumble at the 1-yard line and into the end zone, creating a touchback rather than a second-quarter touchdown. The Chiefs eventually won by five points after Patrick Mahomes had to depart through the league’s concussion protocol. In 2020, Sorensen made a $3.6 million base salary with a $1 million signing bonus for a cap hit of $4.75 million. In 15 games (11 starts), he finished with 91 tackles (68 solo), five passes defensed, two forced fumbles and three interceptions. The numbers on his contract for 2021 are still to come.
  20. Giants signed CB Adoree' Jackson, formerly of the Titans, to a three-year, $39 million contract.
  21. Chiefs are hosting a visit for free agent CB K’Waun Williams. The Jets were previously to be reported to be interested in Williams as well. Williams was plagued by injuries in 2020 but still showed off some of his play-making abilities when healthy. He logged two sacks and a forced fumble to go along with his four pass defenses in eight games played. The 49ers never made him a full-time player in his four-year tenure with the team but he did peak at two interceptions in 2019. His role was primarily as a slot corner in San Francisco. A high-end role player, Williams would be a great fit for a contending team like the Chiefs if his services can be had for a reasonable price. SOURCE: Mike Kaye on Twitter
