  1. Chiefs extended a second-round tender on restricted free agent CB Charvarius Ward. It means Ward will be back with in Kansas City for the 2021 season. Ward, 25, was the Chiefs' No. 2 outside corner last season in DC Steve Spagnuolo's overachieving Cover 2 defense. With Breshaud Breeland's status up in the air, the front office may have some work to do at cornerback in the upcoming draft. Ward was an undrafted free agent in 2018.
  2. Cardinals acquired C Rodney Hudson and a seventh-round pick from the Raiders in exchange for a third-round pick. Hudson, 32 this summer, wanted out of Vegas, and the Raiders were initially rumored to be releasing him, only to realize they could actually deal him for something of value. They get a Day 2 pick in return. In Arizona, Hudson will kick Mason Cole out of the starting center spot after Cole graded out as Pro Football Focus' sixth-worst center last season. Hudson came in at No. 8 overall in PFF's rankings and remains one of the better pivots in football.
  3. Chiefs tendered exclusive rights free agent TE Nick Keizer. Keizer played 302 snaps last season as a special teams asset and Travis Kelce's direct backup. He'll be the next man up if Kelce ever goes down.
  4. Patriots signed C/G Ted Karras, formerly of the Dolphins, to a one-year, $4.0 million contract. Karras signed this exact contract a year ago when he left New England for Miami. He projects to start at center with David Andrews hitting free agency, but he has experience at both guard spots and would be an excellent sixth lineman if the Patriots can find another upgrade. For now, the Patriots have a stellar offensive line and project to be one of the best ground attacks in 2021. Bill Belichick wants to get bigger on offense as the rest of the NFL gets smaller on defense.
  5. Chiefs extended a second-round tender to restricted free agent WR Byron Pringle. Pringle, who saw some run in the KC offense last season before ending the year on injured reserve with an ankle, injury, will probably stay put in 2021. Pringle is only fantasy relevant when KC runs into wide receiver injuries.
  6. Exactly see Frank Clark. Frank Clark - $25.8 million Frank Clark has given the Chiefs 14 sacks in two years since signing a five-year $104 million contract in 2019. While Clark has been a productive player for the Chiefs’ defense, sharing a room with Donald as the only non-quarterback on this list is tough standard to live up to, and Clark hasn’t it. Clark signed his current contract after a career year for the Seattle Seahawks in which he totaled 13 sacks and two forced fumbles. The Chiefs haven’t quite gotten what they paid for. Fortunately for Clark, Mahomes, who’s cap hit is just one third of Clark’s this year, has helped the 27-year-old pass rusher polish his resume with two Super Bowl appearances in Kansas City.
  7. Wonder if Kyle Long is still visiting KC today? Im not a big Tardiff fan.
  8. Would be interesting to see what Bell has left with an oline that " hopefully " open up some holes to run through.
  9. Sure. I think KC will ad a value Veteran at Vet min and Thompson will be gone.
  10. Titans released CB Adoree' Jackson. Jackson had been set to play under his fifth-year team option. Those options are guaranteed for injury only, so Jackson's entire $10.2 million salary comes off the books. The No. 18 overall pick of the 2017 Draft, Jackson had the looks of one of the best young corners in football, but injuries have limited him to 14 appearances over the past two seasons, including only three in 2020. It was a foot in 2019 then his knee last year. Explosively fast and athletic, Jackson is still only 26 years old (in September). There figures to be teams lining up to give him a second chance. It's possible the slot could be a bigger part of 5-foot-11 Jackson's NFL future than it was his first four years in the league.
  11. Raiders continue to move on from elite players In his first run with the team, Gruden seemingly attracted the elite players, getting great play from future Hall of Famers in Tim Brown, Jerry Rice, and Charles Woodson. Since 2018, even holdover players have wanted out, as Mack reportedly would not play for Gruden, and now Hudson has asked to be released. When Gruden returned, he said players were ‘dying to play for the Raiders,’ and maybe that just is not the case. They have We will know soon what the reason was for Hudson to asked to be shown the door, as if he retires, it was because he felt he was done, and if he moves on to play somewhere else, it was the franchise that made him want to leave. Still, releasing Hudson is a huge loss for the Silver and Black, and unless Gruden can pull off a miracle, Derek Carr will be running for his life next season.
  12. The Las Vegas Raiders continue to have a confusing narrative since Jon Gruden returned, and this time, their elite center asked to be shown the door. One consistent bright spot of the Las Vegas Raiders over the years has been center Rodney Hudson, and on Tuesday, he asked to no longer be apart of the rebuild in Las Vegas. Hudson reportedly asked to be released by the Raiders, voiding his guaranteed money according to Mark Sanchez. Las Vegas Raiders: Jon Gruden doesn’t gel with elite talent The Las Vegas Raiders made a splash in the worst way on Tuesday, releasing their best offensive lineman in center Rodney Hudson. Not only is Hudson the best offensive lineman on this roster, but he is also widely considered the best center in the NFL, and this one was certainly a head-scratcher. After word of his release began to circulate, it was found that Hudson actually asked to be released, ending an incredible run with the franchise. His release was a shock, but when it comes to elite talent, Jon Gruden and those upper-level players have never gelled since he returned to the franchise. Since Gruden has returned to the Raiders, he has made a history of elite players finding their way out of the franchise. From trading away Khalil Mack before the 2018 season to doing the same to Amari Cooper during the year, Gruden seems allergic to keeping talented players around him. While Cooper is not on Mack’s level, he was one of the best players on the team, and Gruden found a way to get him out of the Silver and Black.
  13. With the prospect of losing three defensive ends in free agency this offseason, the K.C. Chiefs have decided to slow the bleeding at the position by at least bringing back an intriguing flyer in Taco Charlton. NFL reporter Tom Pelissero notes that the team is bringing him back on (another) one year deal. Charlton joined the Chiefs last season on an inexpensive one-year contract to help rehabilitate his stock on the open market and show what he can do as a pass rusher with a team in primetime as often as the Chiefs. Unfortunately after showing some initial promise, Charlton’s season ended prematurely with a fractured ankle after only seven games.
  14. The K.C. Chiefs have re-signed running back Darrel Williams to a one-year contract worth up to a reported $2.13 million, per Kansas City Star reporter Herbie Teope. The move bolsters the backfield behind Clyde Edwards-Helaire and could signal a leap up the depth chart for Williams. Williams has slowly but steadily worked his way up the team’s depth chart after signing with the Chiefs originally as an undrafted free agent after the 2018 NFL Draft. After serving as a backup at LSU, Williams earned a pro look from the Chiefs and not only made the team but played in six games as a rookie. From there, Williams has become more and more of a fixture in the backfield even as the Chiefs have made several other moves around him during his short tenure with the team.
  15. I like the Veach strategy. It seems he addresses the teams #1 need in free agency each year vs just depending on the draft. This gives KC the opportunity to draft more based on talent than just need.
  16. Except Veach Reid and Company. I trust their judgement.
  17. I LIKE THIS MOVE. SOLID BACK UP K.C. Chiefs guarantee solid payday for Andrew Wylie this offseason with tender Andrew Wylie should be thankful to the K.C. Chiefs. While it’s yet unknown where exactly he will be playing, the good news is that his hard work will have paid off. The Chiefs have made him a rich man. As Wylie heads into the offseason, he’s facing restricted free agency, which means that the Chiefs have until Thursday to tender him at a set level. If the Chiefs refuse to do so, he would become an unrestricted free agent and hit the market for whatever another team is willing to offer him. However, reports emerged on Tuesday saying the Chiefs were going to tender Wylie at some level, which means he is set to make at least $2.13 million in 2021.
  18. Yes. My point is I dont think KC is going to count on Niang this season. If he is ready thats awesome.
