  1. New York Post's Paul Schwartz reports free agent CB DeAndre Baker is visiting the Chiefs on Wednesday. Baker's charges were dropped after an attorney was arrested on extortion charges in his odd case. The charges being dropped against Baker is enough for him to test the free agency waters. Baker was one of the worst-graded corners before being released by the Giants and can still be suspended by the NFL pending further investigation, so it's unclear what the former first-round pick's chances are of actually playing games in 2020 and beyond.
  2. From the article. Questionable skills? Meanwhile, Baker is more of a press-man guy who isn’t great in zone. Playing that role hasn’t been his forte throughout his collegiate and professional career. Baker could definitely play on the outside — where he’s most comfortable — as a press-man cornerback with ball skills. However, that’s where the Chiefs have gone to longer, faster players such as L’Jarius Sneed and BoPete Keyes). Defensive back and cornerbacks coach Sam Madison and Spagnuolo have both gushed about needing that. Baker would break against that, and he hasn’t been particularly successful there. In his rookie season in 2019, Baker allowed 54 completions on 88 targets (61.4%) for 850 yards and six touchdowns. By comparison, Charvarius Ward and Bashaud Breeland allowed a combined 72 catches on 151 targets (47.6%) for 1,118 yards and six touchdowns that same year.
  3. Exactly. And I dont know why anyone would Crown Niang as anything more than a draft pick. Completely unknown. He may be another complete miss.
  4. Lets see. The guy probably got his bonus and 300K from his opt put. Thats a lot of money for a young guy. Is that why it was easy for him to give up a year of learning on a Superbowl Team? I would not count on this guy. He may not be a team oriented individual. He lost a critical year. No real reason for him to have opted out?
  5. I hope KC comes out throwing the ball. Get the lead early. Raiders are not special against the pass and, despite last game, do not have a great pass rush. So pass protect and throw it early & often.
  6. Chiefs Dbs are doiung a fantastic job. All this even though teams are often behind and passing more. Snead is back now so good depth. Keep these guys. https://arrowheadaddict.com/2020/11/16/five-reasons-kansas-city-chiefs-still-super-bowl-favorites/4/ If you dig into the numbers a little more, you’ll see that the reason for the Chiefs good defensive performance is how strong they have been against the pass. They are allowing just 215.7 yards passing per game (6th lowest in the league) and have allowed just 11 passing touchdowns with 9 interceptions. They are allowing the 5th lowest completion percentage and 3rd lowest yards per attempt allowed. The formula here is pretty simple. If the Chiefs score enough points they force the opposing team to pass the football to keep up and that plays into the strengths of the Chiefs defense. With pass rushers like Chris Jones and Frank Clark and an underrated secondary led by Tyrann Mathieu the Chiefs make it difficult to keep pace with Mahomes in the passing game. Plus, there is reason to believe that the Chiefs could get even stronger against the pass as the season goes on and L’Jarius Sneed gets healthy and Willie Gay Jr. gets more playing time. While their rush defense still leaves a little to be desired, the Chiefs aren’t built to have that matter much. If the Chiefs can continue to be strong against the pass and good at keeping the opposing team out of the end zone they will be very hard to beat and that is certainly a reason to consider them a Super Bowl favorite.
  7. Seriously. Would you like some cheese with that whine? Its just someones opinion. No need to be butt hurt all the time.
  8. These guys are adequate back ups and not terrible. 17-1. They are starting due to injuries and opt outs. Its the NFL.
  9. Good points yet KC is 17-1 with Ward? So he is more than adequate. Playing with a broken hand allows for a lesser performance.
  10. I think Ward is under contract next year. He has played with a broken hand. Sometimes guys get beat but playing himself out? Guy is solid. There is also Sneed and Fenton.
  11. Sure and there is Sneed & Fenton. I dont see a huge need here at all. Players have games where they are off or simply outplayed. I saw Matheiu get torched in the Raider game. It happens. Ward played with a broken hand. I think he is solid.
  12. Too early to be down to one game or loss. Long ways to go. Both teams could lose several games. Lots of hope left.
  13. From Article AP..I like this summary https://www.arrowheadpride.com/2020/11/10/21556788/chiefs-week-9-defensive-film-review-tough-sledding-against-carolina-nfl The bottom line This was not a particularly good performance by the Kansas City defense. The Panthers rushing attack — and their short passing game — kept them ahead of the sticks, making life difficult for the Chiefs’ defense. Joe Brady called an amazing game, the Panthers’ receiving corps made some terrific catches, Bridgewater was decisive and accurate — and McCaffrey looked like the player he was before his ankle injury. And yet... the defense had the opportunity to put this one away. That’s why the game has left a sour taste in our mouths. The Chiefs are going to get every team’s best shot. They’re the defending champions — and this is the National Football League. But performances like one this raise questions about what could happen when the Chiefs’ defense faces more difficult opponents later in the season. Over the last three weeks, Spagnuolo and company have definitely handled their business, finishing the job in every game. Against the Panthers, they were on the brink of doing it again — but a poor finish nearly lost the game. Now with a much-needed bye week — which might include the return of Sneed and Alex Okafor — there’s reason to believe that the best is still yet to come for the defense. That is... if they can finish. One would imagine that the next time the team takes the field — this time against the Las Vegas Raiders — they’ll be fired up to do just that.
  14. I would rather play when they are playing well. KC needs some challenges prior to the playoffs. Mahomes is BIG in the BIG Games. Chiefs win.
  15. Are you enjoying your life? I sure hope so. Chiefs are fun to watch as entertainment.
  16. Reid shed some light on the change back to Austin Reiter at center. After a three-game absence, center Austin Reiter returned as the Chiefs’ starter on Sunday against the Panthers in the win. Reid had noted in mid-October that they were giving him time to rest what he described as a “tender knee.” “We saw him in practice — we had him in a limited role in practice, and it looked like it was getting better, so we felt like he could jump back in and work back in there.”
  17. #1 he is elite. #2 I think there were others to account for as well. Its like teams trying to cover all the KC weapons and yet Kelce dominates, or Hill, or Watkins or?
  18. Your not and the defense has played well enough. 17-1 Thats crazy success. Its about wins not fantasy stats.
  19. KC does not have an oline that will allow them to run the ball against decent defenses. Nobody is on the roster that can really change that. Its not the Rbs its the oline. Im fine with it. I prefer a pass first approach. KC is 17-1 throwing the ball. CLYDE EDWARDS-HELAIRERB, KANSAS CITY CHIEFS Clyde Edwards-Helaire has 19 carries in the three games since the Chiefs activated Le'Veon Bell. The rookie had a measly five carries in Week 9 against Carolina, salvaging his day with a receiving touchdown while catching three of five targets for 20 yards. Edwards-Helaire retaining his goal line usage hasn't translated to fantasy success, and Darrell Williams playing on some passing downs has destroyed CEH's upside. Edwards-Helaire is a RB3 going forward.
  20. Would you like some cheese with that whine? 17-1 Baby. Its working.
