  1. Chiefs are playing with house money. No urgent needs.
  2. Only played 6 games? Chiefs selected Mississippi State LB Willie Gay with the No. 63 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Gay (6’1/243) was a four-star recruit and one-year starting linebacker at Mississippi State who was suspended eight games for academic cheating and fighting his QB. If his character checks out, he has the on-field ability to be a starter in the NFL based on his athleticism alone. At the NFL Combine, he tested in the 94th percentile, showcasing 4.46 speed and a 39.5-inch vertical. On his limited tape -- he only started six games in college -- he plays like a total wild card. He takes bad routes and has some vision issues, but he hits hard and can chase players to the sideline. Gay profiles as a high-upside dart throw who needs to settle down to reach his potential. 3. Steve Mariucci said he was a steal in the draft. I actually respect his opinion more than most talking heads.
  4. That's nice. Maybe KC will give you a call? 😉
  5. The draft sets this up as it should. Teams lower in the standing, with good decisions, should consistently get better. I think the AFC West will be tougher going forward. Looking forward to some serious competition. Would not really want a cake walk division like the Pats had. Love the AFCWEST Rivalries.
  6. I don't see moaning. I see some willing to discuss and debate. The guy is a winner and will have impact. Doesn't mean a different position could not have been taken. Im sure the Chiefs are debating each choice.
  7. Looks like a very good player and fit. That said...in todays NFL you can take guys off the street and get results. See Anderson in 2018. Personally no RB is worth a first round selection. Would have preferred a safety or CB in that spot. WE now have 7 rbs on the roster.
  8. Illusive for sure. More like average speed for the position.
  9. Im ok with the pick but it wasn't even a need. I liked the guy they signed from Oak/Washington, Darrel Williams looked good before getting hurt and Thompson was a camp favorite. Williams was the real Super Bowl Mvp and does a good job catching the ball. Some good safeties and a couple good CBs were there for the taking.
  10. No way. He is Mr Playoffs like Sammy. Need more than 1 key guy.
  11. I guess Thompson is on the way out. Must not have shown much after all.
  12. Well Speaks had the dip shit DC first year & injured last year. Spags may get the best out of him this season.
  13. Sure but nobody knows for sure. That uncertainty may pause any huge contracts , like Mahomes and Jones, being negotiated until it is clear..
  14. Adam Schefter speculates 2021 salary cap implications of altered NFL season https://www.cincyjungle.com/2020/4/22/21230404/nfl-2020-season-covid-19-adam-schefter-2021-salary-cap
  15. It was reported on the NFL Network as a possibility. Adam Schefter speculates 2021 salary cap implications of altered NFL season https://www.cincyjungle.com/2020/4/22/21230404/nfl-2020-season-covid-19-adam-schefter-2021-salary-cap
  16. Yes I agree. Yet....they may be all in for this year and planning a semi rebuild the following season. Mahomes contract is not an issue yet. They could wait till next year for that deal. Big Potential Issue: The cap next year could be way lower due to the PANDEMIC = Revenue loses. Some experts, blah blah blah, think as much as 20% lower.
  17. I have a feeling KC is trading up. They have kept guys that were good enough to win a super-bowl. That gives KC an opportunity to get another super star potential guy vs 5 or 6 guys. This team is deep and does not have much room for projects. I see KC all in this year to win it again. They may not be thinking too much further out.
  18. Chiefs restructured RG Laurent Duvernay-Tardif's contract. Kansas City needed some cap space to give them flexibility ahead of the 2020 NFL Draft, so Duvernay-Tardif's contract gets adjusted. These type of moves happen all the time in the offseason and usually don't mean that much in the grand scheme of things. He's in the middle of a five-year, $42 million contract. His cap hits are in the $8 to $10 million range annually. SOURCE: Terez Paylor on Twitter Apr 22, 2020, 7:56 PM ET
  19. No reason to cut a guy before you must cut a guy. Why give the competition a shot at LDT before you need to? I see KC making moves with intention not just to make moves. That said: I sure hope they get rid of LDT.
  20. I would like to see KC trade up for the best linebacker they can. Great shot at back to back. I say go for it. Two years from now you start reloading.
  21. LDT needs to go. He was rated below average by PFF. He is ready to be THE DOCTOR.
