Rams waived RB Darrell Henderson. It's a surprise given Henderson entering the year No. 1 on the depth chart, but he had just two carries in Week 11's loss to the Saints and has been held under six carries in three of the last four games. Sean McVay did say the veteran back "felt a little something in his knee" before the game when pressed about Henderson's lack of playing time yesterday, but this doesn't jive completely with that. Kyren Williams stands to be Los Angeles' passing downs back in the wake of this move. Henderson is in the final year of his rookie deal if he's claimed on waivers, so he was about to be a free agent. Perhaps it's a sign that the Rams are embracing youth in a lost season

I was at the game with a group of my Chiefs Buds and Charger Buds. All were stunned KC stopped running the ball after that first drive. We Chiefs fans were complaining and the Charger fans were laughing about it. Good thing we are all long term friends. LOL. We Chiefs fans got the last laugh and also ribbed the Charger guys about the sea of red in LA. LOL. Drove from Nor Cal to enjoy this. More fun with a win but great time regardless.

As the holidays approach, it's the gift that keeps on giving in the Pacific Northwest. Considering Wilson's track record, it wouldn't be a surprise to see the standout quarterback eventually turn things around for the Broncos. But with the season already past the midway point, it seems unlikely that will happen this year with lame duck head coach likely to be one-and-done and major changes brewing under a new ownership group. Regardless of what happened, the Seahawks haven't just won this trade so far. After decades standing on a pedestal of its own, the heralded Walker pilferage officially has company for the most lopsided NFL blockbuster of all-time and Schneider hopes to continue turning the haul received for Wilson into a wide open window to compete for championships just as the Cowboys did.

Seattle hasn't just benefited from the Wilson trade in terms of incoming rookies either. As part of the deal, Schneider also landed veteran defensive tackle Shelby Harris and tight end Noah Fant, who have each made their own noteworthy contributions helping the team race out to an unexpected fast start. Starting all 10 games in the trenches thus far, Harris has been stout against the run and offered plenty of punch rushing from the interior. Always playing with great energy that positively rubs off on his teammates, he ranks second on the team with four tackles for loss and ranks third on the team with 20 quarterback pressures to go along with a pair of sacks. Thriving as part of a three-headed monster at tight end alongside Will Dissly and Colby Parkinson, Fant has quietly turned in a stellar first season with the Seahawks. After a somewhat slow start, he ranks third on the team in receptions (30) and receiving yardage (306) behind star wideouts Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf and per Pro Football Focus, he ranks first on the team in yards after the catch (174). Examining early returns, the Seahawks already managed to turn Wilson into four starters in Cross, Mafe, Harris, and Fant while still receiving top-flight quarterback play from Smith at a bargain bin price. Much to the chagrin of Broncos fans, they aren't done reaping the rewards either.

A look at the results this season shows that the Broncos have scored 20 points or more just 2 times this season. That is the primary reason they have a 3-7 record and are a last-place team in the AFC West. While the Raiders have the same record, they are technically ahead of the Broncos since they swept the season series. Just how inept has the offense been this season? Another fumble inside the two yard line and still getting snaps. Completely whiffed on a critical block that led to Russell Wilson being sacked and still getting snaps. It would appear to me that there is literally nothing Gordon could do to lose his role on this team entirely. As I write this Sunday night, I would not be surprised to wake up in the morning to the news that Hackett has been relieved of his duties and Dom Capers takes over as interim head coach. I opposed midseason coaching changes all the way up until today. Just get this pathetic show moving forward with a different face telling us about accountability and execution. Please!

What can fix that? There isn’t anything that will do it in 2022 — and with Denver in 14th place in a 16-team AFC, that’s probably OK. The Broncos will have to try in 2023 and beyond because Wilson’s contract is unescapable through basically 2025, when he’ll be 37 years old. They’ll have a little spending room to address their problems in free agency, but next year’s first round pick, currently slated to be a top five selection, and second round pick are headed to Seattle to square off the trade debt (… wow).

In the basement of the AFC West. with their only victories coming against the Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars and, amazingly, the San Francisco 49ers. That’s where, for the second time in 2022, they lost to a Raiders team whose season will be better known for blowing multiple different 17-0 leads (three so far!) and putting a first year head coach (Josh McDaniels) on the hot seat than anything positive. Las Vegas has come by 67 percent of its wins thanks to the Broncos (like Denver, the Raiders also beat a Texans team with no interest in winning games unless the Jaguars are in town). While the failure here is shared by a defense that allowed Derek Carr to complete three passes and cover 67 yards in a single overtime touchdown drive, that doesn’t erase the fact Wilson had multiple opportunities to close this game out in the final 16 minutes and failed to deliver.

I noticed a play against Tenn where he was on his knees bent over. Looked like he got the wind knocked out or a rib issue.. He went out of the game but returned a while later. I was surprised he returned.

I saw the Mahomes video. I think Mahomes is all in KC Management vs that was his opinion. He is an amazing TEAM FIRST GUY. I saw it as if Veach likes CEH then I can support getting more weapons. I doubt he did any real scouting or research. He trusts Veach, Reid, ETC. Win some lose some. Veach and Reid win most.
