  1. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Isiah Pacheco will start in Week 7 against the 49ers. Clyde Edwards-Helaire, who has operated as the Chiefs' top back through the season's first month and a half, "will still play a key role on offense," per Rapoport. KC's offense will include a "splash" of Jerick McKinnon as a pass-catching specialist, he added. Pacheco's pass-blocking prowess has reportedly stood out to Kansas City coaches in recent weeks. Coming into the NFL, Pacheco was known as an excellent blocker and has shown as much in limited game action this season. Pacheco, who leads Chiefs running backs in yards after contact per carry, should be treated as a low-end RB2 play against San Francisco. He'll be somewhat touchdown dependent since he's unlikely to see much pass-catching work in the pass-heavy Chiefs offense.
  2. On Saturday afternoon, the Kansas City Chiefs announced that they are activating linebacker Willie Gay Jr. to their roster in advance of their Week 7 matchup against the San Francisco 49ers. But the team is not choosing to activate injured cornerback Trent McDuffie for this game.
  3. ESPN's Dan Graziano reports WR Odell Beckham (knee surgery) is targeting a mid-December return. This is a downgrade from the mid-November outlook Beckham was given earlier this month. The new timetable pushes Beckham's return into the final month of the season. Signing with a contender for the stretch run remains the likeliest outcome for Beckham coming off his Super Bowl torn ACL. The Rams have continued to keep tabs on Beckham with the "belief around the league" that he'll end up back in L.A.
  4. Your opinion is so much more important to you than my opinion is important to me. This was an EB comment I made about him not identifying the running game identity. Thats it. You have gone somewhere else as usual. Yes you have a stat for that. Ha Ha You win. Feel better now?
  5. The discussion point was the AB article that you agreed with. He has gone off on his normal trip to some other place altogether. LOL
  6. Lost because scored nothing to speak of in the second half. Complete choke. Was EB not part of that? If you love EB good for you. Again YOU HAVE A STAT FOR THAT>LOL
  7. So what. That was then. Lost the last AFC Champ Game because EB does not have the running game identity figured out. I think it was STUPID for him to state that even if that is the truth. There is a reason nobody has hired that guy. I would say that not running the ball also cost KC the Buff loss as well. Had the ball with a chance to work the clock. PUNTED and LOST. Could cost home field advantage. So there is that. Do you keep Clark because back in the day he had a key plays during the superbowl season?
  8. Going forward we have been discussing the need to run the ball. See last years AFC loss for a past reminder. No doubt YOU HAVE A STAT FOR EVERYTHING YOU BELIEVE. Bless your heart. LOL
  9. The point of the article was the run game and I think many OC would put up the points with Mahomes. I thought the point was winning the BIG GAMES. Carry On.
  10. Point is hasnt figured out the run game yet. Bottom line MAHOMES. You have Mahomes stats are almost guaranteed. Cant complain about the run game without looking at EB.
  11. Really? This guy should be looking for a coaching job at the local high school. Former NFL RB and how many years with this team and with CEH?
  12. Eric Bieniemy on identity of Chiefs run game: ‘We’re still looking for it’ Kansas City’s offensive coordinator knows the rushing attack can do more than it has this season. https://www.arrowheadpride.com/2022/10/21/23414931/chiefs-eric-bieniemy-run-game-identity-clyde-edwards-helaire-jerick-mckinnon
  13. The Niners are acquiring star running Christian McCaffrey in a trade with the Carolina Panthers, a person with knowledge of the deal confirmed to USA TODAY Sports. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because the trade was not yet official. The Panthers are receiving second, third and fourth round picks in 2023, as well as a fifth rounder in 2024 in exchange for McCaffrey.

  15. When considering a trade for Burns, fans should expect the cost to be very similar to when Kansas City acquired Frank Clark. It would require at least one first-round draft pick in 2023 and likely more picks overall. He would need a contract extension north of $20 million per season and probably closer to $25 million. Burns is less of a body type fit for what Spagnuolo has liked throughout his career. He is very lengthy, but light in weight. This makes him more dependent on speed and quickness to defend the run, again, something Spagnuolo does not prefer. Burns is the best player all the names you have probably seen linked as potential trade options — that’s why ultimately fans shouldn’t expect him to go anywhere this year. Even if Carolina is willing to negotiate, the price is likely too steep for Kansas City to make a move. https://www.arrowheadpride.com/2022/10/20/23412943/chiefs-nfl-trade-deadline-2022-robert-quinn-brian-burns-josh-allen
  16. I dont understand all the worry? Andy is a genius. So dont worry be happy.
  17. I wrote about signing Linval Joseph back in June and I still feel that it makes sense for KC. After losing Tershawn Wharton for the rest of 2022 with a torn ACL, the Chiefs are suddenly thin at the defensive tackle position. Chris Jones is elite, but Derrick Nnadi, Khalen Saunders, Taylor Stallworth, and Malik Herring don’t inspire a ton of confidence, especially when rushing the passer. If Jones were to miss any amount of time, Kansas City’s pass rush would be in a lot of trouble. If the Chiefs want to add veteran depth off the street, a guy such as Linval Joseph could be a useful addition. Joseph is long in the tooth at 34 but was very solid for the Chargers last season rushing the passer. He wouldn’t be an every-down player, but if Kansas City is looking for quality depth behind Chris Jones, I would look into adding Joseph to the practice squad.
  18. If the Chiefs want to bring in a fresh face, Daryl Williams might be a solid low-risk signing. He spent the past two seasons in Buffalo, including starting all 19 games last year for the Bills, 8 at right tackle and 11 at right guard. He was released last March. When he did play right tackle, he was very good, especially in pass protection. Williams wouldn’t come in and be the next Mitchell Schwartz, but if the Chiefs are looking to solidify their depth chart with veteran talent, he might have enough left in the tank. https://arrowheadaddict.com/2022/10/20/4-free-agents-help-kc-chiefs-right-now/3/
  19. OBJ not available until Nov. coming off a serious injury. Dont see KC trading a receiver at the deadline without knowing for sure OBJ is 100% $ signed.
  20. Goes? He will still be on the team. Maybe a smaller role. Injuries etc. Special teams.
  21. Report: Chiefs are ‘strong contender’ to sign wideout Odell Beckham Jr. The former Giants (and Rams) wide receiver is again being linked to Kansas City. On Wednesday, the plot thickened. Aaron Wilson of Pro Football Network said that Kansas City is among the teams that are now in the market to obtain Beckham. Wilson even described the Chiefs as a ‘strong contender.’
  22. The Kansas City Chiefs might be getting Lucas Niang and Blake Bell back after the bye in Week 8, says Andy Reid. Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid spoke to the media on Wednesday to give an update on all of the latest injuries as the team prepares and practices to face the San Francisco 49ers in Week 7. Given that the team is also heading into their bye week following this week’s road trip, Reid had a lot more updates than normal. The overall sense is that there’s good news to believe the Chiefs might be back to full strength very soon.
