  1. Chiefs d will be torched. Lack of pass rush will allow Buff to do whatever they want. Chiefs offense is up against a team with a better D and a very good pass rush. Chiefs need to score 50. Chiefs needs some turnovers and some very good luck. Im surprised the line is still so close. Glad I dont gamble and it proves Vegas does not agree with my take. LOL
  2. Sure maybe it solves one position for the next 4 years. Loss of picks and cap space will create holes in other areas. Yep its a Clark move all over again. My position is consistent. Sign top free agents ok. Trade top picks and then big contracts not a good move. See the Brown deal. Another guy not living up to the hype and now waited to the last minute to talk serious contract. That cost the Chiefs more cap space and limited their other moves. So they get 2 years of average LT play and not on the cheap.
  3. Its smells like a Clark deal. Its not like a tag is cheap & I think you only get one per season. I doubt a KC 1st round pick will do it at #30 or so. So its likely multiple high picks and the another massive contract. What about C Jones? Yes the cap is going up but it does for everyone so it creates inflated contracts.
  4. No. Dont mess up the long term plan for one guy. Nothing is guaranteed.
  5. I think they will all be about the same. Average. Chiefs do not have a #1 guy. There is a reason those free agents were allowed to walk. Moore has the best potential for next year. Looks like more tight ends and rbs will be catching passes and involved in screens etc.
  6. I think he is not 100% yet. Why have him play and get torched because he is not ready?
  7. Sure and I see it with other receivers too. Hell CEH got hit in the helmet.
  8. Hardman has been hurt. Im not saying he is the guy. He is a good #3 , deep threat decoy, punt returns and sweeps. Shuster has better stats , has been available no injuries, but has shown me very little. After all Mahomes is his QB too. Im not rooting against Shuster. I hope he become dominate. Kelce is now the guy and so far the rest have been just ok.
  9. Chiefs will need to score 50 instead of 40. . NO DB depth for this game.
  10. WR JuJu Smith-Schuster The big slot wideout will be covered by cornerback Taron Johnson, who is one of the league’s top slot defenders. With a receiving corps that lost Hill but still has wide receivers Mecole Hardman and Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Smith-Schuster is the top dog among the receivers. He and Johnson have squared off against each other before, as Buffalo played the Pittsburgh Steelers a few times in big spots over the last few years while Smith-Schuster was catching passes from quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. If Johnson can contain Smith-Schuster one-on-one, it will make the rest of the defense much more efficient. TE Travis Kelce It’s not that I’m not worried about Kansas City’s running game, as Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Jerick McKinnon are both dangerous, but the Chiefs’ passing game is just so elite that it’s impossible to ignore. Kelce has destroyed Buffalo over the last few years, catching 32 passes for 336 yards and six touchdowns in his last four games against Buffalo. You have to go back to a 2017 meeting between these teams to find the last game where Kelce didn’t catch a touchdown against Buffalo; Mahomes was not his quarterback that day. If cornerback Tre’Davious White were healthy, this would probably be his assignment. I think it’s going to be a combination of players, including safety Jordan Poyer, linebackers Matt Milano and Tremaine Edmunds, and cornerback Kaiir Elam covering Kelce. Whoever is locked up with the stud tight end will need to be on point this week. https://www.buffalorumblings.com/2022/10/14/23403741/bills-chiefs-preview-matchups-travis-kelce-chris-jones-patrick-mahomes
  11. Stats I won’t spend a ton of time on stats for this, but a select few might paint a picture. Let’s toss some out and see if we can make some sense of them. Kansas City has 13 sacks and 36 quarterback hits, which rate eighth and sixth in the league, respectively. But... They’ve faced 205 passing attempts, second-most in the league. I’m not suggesting they’re terrible; with a 6.34% sack rate, it’s good for 16th in the league which is average. Kansas City is allowing a 69.3% completion rate, ranking third-worst in the league. They have the eighth-best yards per attempt measure at 6.23 yards allowed per attempt. Kansas City has the tenth-highest blitz rate at 29.1%. What does this all mean? They’re fine at getting to the quarterback, but nothing special. They allow a lot of completions, but teams have struggled to stretch the field against them in aggregate. Let’s hit the tape. https://www.buffalorumblings.com/2022/10/14/23403678/bills-chiefs-preview-pass-rush-frank-clark-chris-jones
  12. Up to this point its a fact. Now KC might change that. There is no KC receiver that other teams fear. Kelce yes. Receivers no.
  13. Looks like Bills dont run it much either. I think their defense and pass rush is better than KC. Chiefs & Mahomes will need their A game and a few turnovers for the win.
  14. Ward is playing like a shutdown corner in SF. Chase should be doubled.
  15. It is a good sign for the Chiefs that right guard Trey Smith (pectoral) was a full participant after missing the last game. That means he is trending to play on Sunday.
  16. It is a good sign for the Chiefs that right guard Trey Smith (pectoral) was a full participant after missing the last game. That means he is trending to play on Sunday.
  17. In addition to McDuffie practicing on Wednesday, kicker Harrison Butker (left ankle) and right guard Trey Smith were also able to get some work in. Like McDuffie, Butker hasn’t played since Week 1. Smith missed the Chiefs’ last game due to an issue with his pectoral muscle.
  18. Odell Beckham Jr. Says Rams Made ‘Lowest of Low Offers’ Joseph Salvador - 23m ago “LA knows where I wanted to be… but they didn’t offer me....ANYthing!” he said on Twitter. “So idk what people want me to do, I def kno my worth and what the offer was isn’t reflective of that. So it’s tough to say that I can come on back even tho I thought I finally found that home !” https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/odell-beckham-jr-says-rams-made-lowest-of-low-offers/ar-AA12T8RG?cvid=83fdb0c3c3a4451aa5c8f2d8b08933c7
  19. To make room for Stallworth, the Chiefs waived defensive end Benton Whitley, who they had signed off the Los Angeles Rams practice squad. The Chiefs cut defensive tackle Cortez Broughton from the practice squad, but Danny Shelton remains on the practice squad roster. The Chiefs also added running back Wayne Gallman to the practice squad. In 61 career games with the New York Giants, Atlanta Falcons and Minnesota Vikings, the 28-year-old Gallman has accumulated 447 touches for 2,067 yards from scrimmage and 11 total touchdowns. His best season was with the Giants in 2020, when he carried the ball 147 times for 682 yards and six rushing touchdowns, as well as catching 21 passes for 114 yards.
  20. HARRISON BUTKERK, KANSAS CITY CHIEFS Harrison Butker (ankle) returned to practice Wednesday. Butker has been out since suffering the ankle injury in Week 1. The Chiefs initially replaced him with Matt Ammendola, but his stint in Kansas City didn't last long. He was eventually replaced by Matthew Wright, who is 3-of-4 on his field goal attempts this year. Butker, once healthy, will be a strong fantasy option behind one of the league's best offenses.
