  1. Once again I am so wrong. Good thing I dont gamble. Broncos once again a complete crap show. Wasting a decent defense year after year. I did not like Paul Hackett. Hack-it says it all.
  2. Odell Beckham Jr. agrees that the Chiefs would be a top destination for him The free-agent wideout was involved in a Twitter conversation on Thursday. https://www.arrowheadpride.com/2022/10/6/23391744/chiefs-odell-beckham-jr-top-destination-packers-rams-bills-ravens
  3. The Chiefs’ injury report comes with a couple of pieces of positive news for Kansas City: First, center Creed Humphrey’s Thursday absence had nothing to do with an injury; he was excused for personal reasons. Second, defensive end Mike Danna (calf) was back to being a full participant. That’s the first time that’s been the case since he suffered the injury in Week 2. Third, wide receiver Mecole Hardman (heel) logged a full practice after practicing both Thursday and Friday of last week in limited fashion. With the good news for the Chiefs, there’s some bad: Harrison Butker (left ankle) did not practice. More on the Butker injury — plus four other status updates — here. Another item to watch is the injury to right guard Trey Smith (pectoral), who was officially limited on Thursday. If the injury holds him out, Nick Allegretti becomes an option.
  4. PAYING Brown top dollars will not move this team into Dynasty. It will still take up too much cap space. He is average in my eye. No money for Jones? Kelce will need a new deal? Move up and draft a LT.
  5. New practice squad WR Chris Conley has a locker but he was in meetings this morning so we didn’t get a chance to catch up with him. Did talk to WR Marcus Kemp, who was all smiles to back with Chiefs on practice squad. Couple of teams were interested but comfort with KC was key.
  6. The Chiefs started the regular season with tight end Blake Bell (hip surgery) on injured reserve and offensive lineman Lucas Niang (patellar tendon) on the physically-unable-to- perform (Reserve/PUP) list, meaning they would miss the first four games. Reid had no update on Bell on his Monday Zoom conference call — but on Thursday, he did deliver a slight update on Niang.“He’s close but not quite there yet,” said Reid. “He’s working through it but he’s not ready to do that.” Reid also had positive news on rookie cornerback Trent McDuffie (hamstring), who has been on injured reserve since his Week 1 injury. McDuffie will be eligible to return to practice after the Chiefs’ game on Monday night. On Thursday, he was spotted watching practice without a helmet, which is usually a positive sign for progress. “He’s doing great,” said Reid of McDuffie. “He’s got this week here. I think he’ll get back in there maybe next week.” Linebacker Willie Gay Jr., who is suspended for another two games, has returned to the facility, per NFL rules. “[Gay is] back in,” confirmed Reid. “He’s doing good. He’s doing good — looks like he’s been working out.” Defensive end Mike Danna was limited in Thursday and Friday practice last week — and missed his second straight game on Sunday night. He continued to practice Thursday. Center Creed Humphrey was not spotted during the media look. The Chiefs will have more information on his status in the initial injury report that will be posted Thursday afternoon.
  7. Indy Radio Announcers said it still created a very bright sky ,and made the ball hard to follow especially if you had not played there before.
  8. Part of it was the Roof being indoors. No doubt some rookie nerves too. I think he will do well as PR.
  9. Everyone knows how much of a force Chris Jones can be and this season has been no different as he currently holds the second-highest PFF grade among defensive tackles with an elite 90.8 mark. He’s behind just Jeffery Simmons and Aaron Donald with 15 pressures on the year and ranks second with an 83.5 run defense grade. Part of the problem with Jones is he rarely lines up in the same spot consistently. Out of 213 defensive snaps, he’s line up as a left defensive tackle or end about 37.6 percent of the time while playing on the right side for the other 62-ish percent of snaps. So, while he favors the right over the left, Jones will flip around and be able to attack an opponent’s weakest offensive lineman.
  10. The good news is the Chiefs are still starting Andrew Wylie at right tackle, who Crosby had his way with last year. In the two contests combined, Wylie allowed 13 total pressures — two sacks, one QB hit and 10 hurries — while Crosby racked up 15 pressures. That should serve as a confidence booster for the pass rusher heading into Monday. Madd Maxx has been doing his thing this season too with 18 pressures which are tied for the sixth-most edge defenders. But Wylie has been much more sound in pass protection, getting beat just seven times so far this year. In a way, this matchup will be a test to see just how much the offensive lineman has grown from year to year. https://www.silverandblackpride.com/2022/10/5/23387335/raiders-chiefs-week-5-x-factors-monday-night-football
  11. Maybe not. SEE PM. If you have the extra picks and now your one guy away you do a deal. If Bosa was there I think you move up. KC wont roster 12 new picks. You get a 20 million dollar guy on a rookie deal. It would need to be a cant miss guy.
  12. Agree. I still think AFC Dynasty at this point. SB win this year moves it into NFL Category..
  13. Good points. Thats an interesting issue with Jones. Im not sure you want Jones walking? I need to think about that. Its hard to find a guy like that unless you are in the top 5 -10 picks if then? Thats a difficult decision. Im curious what the rest of the board thinks.
  14. AFC Dynasty for sure. NFL? Steelers 4 SB wins in 6 years. Patriots run.
  15. Also I think the Chiefs are setting up a dynasty run with the Hill trade and this past draft. I thought/expected it started a few years ago but it looks more likely now.
  16. Yes. I hope KC can draft those receivers and weapons. Having free agent receiver turnover is disruptive based on the complexity of this offense. Shuster is likely one and gone. Plus the salaries these receivers are now getting is insane. I say 5 SB appearances and 3 wins in the next 10 years.
  17. I would also like Nagy in place of EB. Spags is really become the GUY for this defense. Now he has some young talent to develop too.
  18. Yes; I dont mind free agents. Chiefs gave Thuney big bucks. Its trading high picks for guys getting big contracts that costs cap space and future low contract possibly impact players. Veach has done well with most of his free agents.
  19. I also think that Andy Reids ability to attract the best coaches is remarkable and key to building a Dynasty.
  20. Thought we could revisit this CONVERSATION. With this past awesome draft the Chiefs are reloading. I see one key to getting over the hump. Draft well and dont trade for top players that then get a huge contract. Yes thats means dont do another Brown or Clark deal. Some say Clark was worth it because of the SB Win. That may or may not be true. His contract and play may have cost KC opportunities to win another SB. Veach has proven he drafts well so his picks are very valuable to this team. Give VEACH more 7th rounders please. Chiefs do need another pass rushing end and left tackle. Other than that they may already have players on the roster that will grow into bigger roles over time. Next draft I think KC has 12 picks. BINGO. I see DYNASTY Opportunity. To me DYNASTY is Superbowl Appearances at least every other year winning 3 more in the next 10 years.
  21. I guess having a discussion on a discussion board is freaking out. LOL I done see anyone freaking out except the guy freaking out because he thinks others are freaking out. LOL
