  1. 139-84 overall With an Elite QB. for 16 Years in a Patsy Division Payton's 139 regular season and postseason wins in his NFL head coaching career are 26th all-time. He has a 139-84 overall record (. 623), including eight postseason wins after the franchise had won only one playoff game prior to his arrival. In 16 seasons with the Saints as head coach, Payton helped guide the team to three NFC Championship games (2006, 2009, and 2018), a victory in Super Bowl XLIV, and nine total playoff berths with seven division titles, making him the most successful coach in Saints franchise history. Payton was suspended without pay for the 2012 season for his role in a scheme to pay players who hurt opponents and knocked them out of games, a scandal that became known as Bountygate.Jan 25, 2022
  2. Probably stays in KC. May try the market and return on a cheap prove it deal.
  3. Chiefs coach Andy Reid said "probably not" when asked about activating Clyde Edwards-Helaire (ankle/IR) from injured reserve for the Divisional Round game against Jacksonville. Edwards-Helaire's absence will keep Isiah Pacheco and Jerick McKinnon in their main roles in Kansas City's running game. It's still possible that CEH will resurface in the conference championship round or Super Bowl, assuming the Chiefs make it that far.
  4. So its like having three years in a row with 9 road games cause next year will be 9 road games. BS
  5. I never shop there. I watch lots of true crime stuff and believe 99% of criminals buy their murder kits there. You know. Shovel, Duct Tape, Zip Ties, Garbage Bags, Bleach, Gloves. I think they should have the system the library had in SEINFIELD. ALARM SHOULD GO OFF & Yell SWARM SWARM SWARM whenever those items are purchased together. So I do not shop there because its a safe haven for criminal purchases. LOL
  6. Though his limited usage in the first matchup is rather puzzling, Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo should expect the Jaguars to use him more, especially after his recent success in the Wild Card round. Additionally, it should be noted that Kansas City’s defense has struggled against running backs racking up receiving yards, as they rank the third worse in that metric this season with 778 yards allowed. There’s no denying that Travis Etienne is a great talent and the Chiefs’ defense should be fully aware of what he is capable of. That being said, it’s nothing the boys in red and gold can’t handle, as this organization is completely aware of the goal at hand. Linebackers Nick Bolton and Willie Gay Jr. will be eager to smother him, and K.C.’s tenth-best run defense has faced scarier running backs this year and emerged victorious. That’s why the Chiefs are slated as 8.5-point favorites. All said, Etienne will surely find production, though even his best game should not prevent the Chiefs from reaching their fifth straight AFC Championship appearance.
  7. What is your point? You have Romo at 18. New contracts being offered are much higher than that. Manning, Brady, McVey and Payton are rumored to be offered much higher contracts. They also make additional money with other appearances, podcasts, commercials etc.
  8. Greedy NFL. That travel is nasty. Usually followed with a BYE. GREED GREED GREED Especially bad when it would be a home game. No home field advantage there.
  9. “Evan Engram has been having a hell of a last eight games,” Bolton told reporters on Tuesday. “His back-half eight games been great and again just doing a great job of minimizing turnovers and maximizing opportunities. They’re going out there, and putting points on the board and I kind of feel like that’s helped them a lot in the last couple of games.” As for Etienne, Bolton says it will require a team effort to slow him down. Bolton, who had the second-most tackles in the NFL this season, emphasized the importance of tackling when it comes to someone as explosive as Etienne coming out of the backfield. “We have to rely on our front,” responded Bolton, when asked about slowing down Etienne. “Let our front four guys do the work for us. We got to tackle out in space, and we all know he’s an explosive running back — I think he was top five in the league in explosive runs especially outside the tackle. “So, we got to minimize those opportunities he has to break tackles on the outside and just tackle well in space. We did that well last week, and it will take all eleven of us to do it again this week.”
  10. NFL teams worth billions. Announcers make that much.
  11. Im not too concerned about what coaches make. Its not a cap issue. NFL teams are extremely profitable in most cases.
  12. Walmart has the bucks. Its the picks that are costly.
  13. Me too. Andy: “(Lawrence) is a talented guy,” Reid noted. “You see the experiences coming into play for him now. This Jacksonville team is completely different from the first time we played them. They’re playing with a lot more confidence, defense is tight, and their playmakers are making the plays when they need to make them. Trevor Lawrence, first overall pick, has the talent to make all the throws that he needs to make, so we can’t sleep on what he’s able to do whenever he gets out there.” As Reid said, the Jaguars offense has improved a lot since their Week 10 matchup, in which the Chiefs won 27-17. Jacksonville running back Travis Etienne Jr. only rushed for 45 yards on 11 carries in that game, while tight end Evan Engram caught just three receptions for 14 yards. Despite that midyear showing, both players were critical to Jacksonville’s success this past weekend, combining for a touchdown and 202 of the team’s 390 yards of total offense.
  14. Never that overly impressed with him. You have a QB like Breese you should win more than lose.
  15. The Advocate's Jeff Duncan reports Sean Payton is believed to be seeking $20-$25 million per season in contract negotiations. Duncan also reports that Payton is seeking a four-year deal, and that the Saints consider two first-round picks the "starting point" in any trade discussions. Ay caramba. Payton is a difference-making coach, but that would be close to franchise-crippling for a team like the Broncos that is already out its 2023 first-rounder. Payton would have to do the job of his life with declining franchise quarterback Russell Wilson to make that deal worth it. Consider us skeptical any team would cough up a pair of Day 1 selections despite Payton's track record.
  16. Except the Raiders had nothing to play for. Maybe pride but clearly they were ready to quit and played a back up QB.
  17. The Jags have little pressure to win. They can play free and take chances. I watched three games they played recently and they can move the ball. They are on a nice win streak. So the pressure is more on KC. Mahomes and Co are used to it. Chiefs need to limit Kirk and stop Allen from getting pressure on Mahomes. Most of the Jags passing game is short passes in the middle of the field. So get the lead and put pressure on Lawrence. Lawrence can get the ball out quick so only blitz occasionally.
  18. I just rewatched their game against Dallas. They rallied big time and won that game. Maybe 1 turnover.
  19. He has Lamar Jackson Syndrome. It wont help him get a better contract. Reid said that he, Hardman, is not happy with how he feels. He did not say the traing staff supports that. Good thing Toney is ready! Lots of players would give the right nut to appear in a playoff game. Hardman seems to take playoff for granted.
  20. Jones looked good too. I think CEH will be inactive.
  21. Must be friends with Lamar Chokeson. " He wants it to "? Sounds like Reid is pointing to Hardman vs the training staff?
  22. CLYDE EDWARDS-HELAIRERB, KANSAS CITY CHIEFS Clyde Edwards-Helaire (ankle) practiced Tuesday. CEH, who hasn't played since Week 11, is likely to return to Kansas City's lineup for their Divisional Round matchup with the Jaguars. In his absence, Jerick McKinnon has seized most of the high value touches in the KC backfield, including much of the passing down work in the pass-heavy Chiefs attack. Edwards-Helaire's return could complicate McKinnon's role or take snaps away from early down banger Isiah Pacheco.
