  1. Good points. Different era and Marty never had a Mahomes.
  2. I think Hardman has been a little banged up.
  3. ESPN's Adam Teicher believes the Chiefs backfield "is going to be more of a committee thing" going forward. The Chiefs, per Teicher, "still don't seem comfortable using Clyde Edwards-Helaire in most third-down situations," instead using pass-catching specialist Jerick McKinnon, especially in the team's two-minute offense. McKinnon in Week 3 against the Colts ran more routes and equaled CEH with seven rushing attempts. After three games, it's McKinnon who leads the Kansas City backfield with a 28 percent snap share while Edwards-Helaire sits at 27 percent. CEH has skated by with four touchdowns through three weeks -- a pace that won't continue. There won't be much fantasy juice to squeeze out of the KC backfield unless CEH or McKinnon miss time. NBC Sports' Edge's Denny Carter recently recommended McKinnon as a waiver add in 12-team leagues. AFC West Take: No team would give up anything or trade for this guy. Teams brass plays him to try and save face. He is an average at best RB.
  4. Good points. Chiefs will need to score a bunch.
  5. Chiefs release Elijah Lee, bring defensive tackle back to practice squad In another move on Tuesday, the Chiefs brought defensive tackle Cortez Broughton back to the practice squad. Broughton, who originally entered the league as a 2019 seventh-rounder with the Los Angeles Chargers, spent the 2021 season on the Kansas City practice squad and remained with the team through some of the offseason. He was placed on the Active/PUP list on July 26, waived with an injury designation the next day, placed on Reserve/PUP after clearing waivers and finally released with an injury settlement on August 5.
  6. I think KC had a let down after beating the Chargers. Trap game response. I see this team on fire against Tampa & Brady. Dont know why but I have a good feeling about this game. Really cant wait.
  7. Thanks. I see this as a big test for the KC linebackers with Brady getting the ball out so fast. TB has a couple of best their receivers coming back for this game. No Gronk should help.
  8. Should be a great game. Has Mahomes ever beat Brady?
  9. It would be a miracle if this guy in year 5 , I think, becomes a #1. Maybe on a really really bad team. Like what he is doing and a #3 is more like it.
  10. Seriously I thought it was a funny response. No doubt most of us have a few screws loose or we would not spend our time here.
  11. I was just kidding. You are not an idiot. My bad. I thought it would get a laugh.
  12. The bottom line https://www.arrowheadpride.com/2022/9/27/23372283/film-review-the-key-to-what-is-hurting-the-chiefs-offensively 12 personnel wasn't the only reason the Chiefs were bad offensively Sunday. The offensive line was poor, receivers weren't separating, and the Chiefs couldn't run the ball. Everything was going bad for the Chiefs Sunday, so pinning all the blame on one personnel group would be entirely unfair. Still, when I went back and watched the game, I kept writing down how bad the Chiefs offense looked out of 12 personnel. This was a problem in Week 2 but exasperated in Week3. Teams aren't respecting the run game enough right now to put heavier personnel on the field. Why? Because the Chiefs keep flexing Kelce and Gray out as receivers, which means they can't help in the run game. This kills the play-action game since there's no run threat. Combine that with the inability to get anything going vertically out of 12 personnel, and the Chiefs lack identity in their offense right now. It's only Week 3, and it'll take time to build that identity. But, right now, the Chiefs' offense is better in theory than reality. The Chiefs are going to have to solve their run game first if they want any chance to succeed offensively. If they can solve that, the play-action game will be open, and the efficiency will return. But, until we reach that point, I'm very concerned about this offense.
  13. OK maybe this will help you feel better. " You're an Idiot". Chiefs are a very good team and will win more games than they lose.
  14. They did lose because they played like losers. Your response is what most fan bases say, me included, when their team loses. If only this or that. That was a bad call. That ball should have been picked. Too many dropped passes. ETC. If you watch the Charger game closely you can see that PM easily could have been picked 2 or 3 times. Without that miracle 99 td return KC would be 1-2. The Chiefs lost because they played the way losing teams play. Will they fix it? Yes.
  15. Exactly. Yes. Well good luck with this. Its the same story every season. Reid wont run the ball and PM will always prefer the big play highlight.
  16. MATT AMMENDOLAK, UNSIGNED FREE AGENT Chiefs released K Matt Ammendola. Filling in for Harrison Butker (ankle) the last two weeks, Ammendola was great in Week 2 against the Chargers, nailing 3-of-3 field goals and both of his extra points. But Ammendola was one of the culprits in Week 3's stunning loss to the Colts, missing an extra point and then a 34-yard field goal in the fourth quarter that would've put the Chiefs up 20-13. They ended up losing 20-17. Butker will likely be back for Week 4 against the Bucs.
  17. Yes. I think he is as focused on his stats , media take etc as he is on winning. Not surprising. Its human nature.
  18. Nobody is going to give up a high pick and pay this guy. They will see the same thing we see. Hopefully KC will never trade picks and then pay a massive contract to any player. Use free agency if you must. . Im hoping he will get it together and finish strong. Maybe then you can trade him.
  19. Head coach? I doubt he takes anything less. Has a huge TV deal if he wants it.
