  1. Average or a bit above average. Nobody knows , at this point , who will be cut, free agent, drafted or available by trade.
  2. Yep. Average is ok with me. NFL QBs are well protected. PM moves well. Give me a LT that pass protects decent. Does not matter if he run blocks well because under Reid Kc will never run the ball often enough. How many NFL QBs really get knocked out with a career ending injury from a pass rush hit? Cant pay everybody. The old bs " but the cap is going up so all is good" is fantasy. Every team benefits when the cap goes up and a team like the Raiders can kill you with a completely over priced signing. Ad Miami to that list with the Hill money. At this point: I would put the money into a quality proven young pass rusher and defense over all.
  3. There will be other guys available. Heck Chicago just added a decent guy last week. This OMG we must have a great player to protect the franchise is an overreaction. Give me an average LT and put more money into several other pieces. You cant have All Pro at every position. The cap is real.
  4. Im not a fortune teller. There will be decent guys available. Lots of teams win big without the best LT. Im ok with an average to slightly above average LT.
  5. tag and trade. other positions will need the big bucks . I dont see paying top left tackle money regardless of his performance.
  6. Matt McMullen @KCChiefs_Matt Isiah Pacheco just made a terrific play to haul in a contested grab downfield. Went up and got it despite tight coverage. Great play.
  7. This is why GB let him walk. @SteveWallsKC MVS has been wide open twice on deep throws from Patrick and dropped them both..
  8. MMQB's Albert Breer said seventh-round rookie RB Isiah Pacheco has been "lighting up" Chiefs camp and compared him to Kareem Hunt. Coach Andy Reid has even come away impressed with Pacheco, saying "he's got a little juice, got some good speed." Pacheco was a four-year contributor at Rutgers and blazed a 4.37 forty at the Combine at 5'11/215. However, his explosive measurements were lacking and he didn't make many big plays in college. Kansas City's backfield is sort of wide open, with Clyde Edwards-Helaire constantly injured and lacking big-play production, Ronald Jones on a one-year deal after not getting playing time in Tampa Bay, and Jerick McKinnon back after an impressive playoff stretch. It wouldn't be crazy to see Pacheco carve out an offensive role. The preseason will be huge for him.
  9. Second-round rookie wide receiver Skyy Moore was back on the practice field after leaving Tuesday’s practice early with a hip injury. Following the session, head coach Andy Reid said that Moore had been the only “questionable player” for Wednesday’s practice. But reporters present for the private indoor session said Moore looked fine on the field. Tight end Jody Fortson — who suffered a strained quad on Saturday — was not present.
  10. https://arrowheadaddict.com/2022/08/03/isiah-pacheco-chiefs-starring-role-special-teams/ When speaking with reporters from training camp at St. Joseph on Tuesday, special teams coach Dave Toub detailed his plans for several players on his core coverage units as he attempts to replace key losses this offseason—namely Marcus Kemp, Ben Niemann, Armani Watts. When it came to returner, Toub identified Pacheco as his primary returner. Of course, the Chiefs will have others ready and waiting for the chance to serve as a returner, and the team can obviously make any changes they want, but it’s still a curious choice to zero in on Pacheco so soon. Pacheco was the second of three seventh-round picks made by the Chiefs in this year’s draft after showing solid production at Rutgers for the last four seasons. While his stats don’t pop off the page at any level (with only 647 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns in 2021), he was the single fastest running back at the NFL Combine with a 4.37 second time in the 40-yard dash.
  11. Read he walked off on his own. So not sounding serious. Skyy Moore exited Chiefs practice early with a hip injury on Tuesday. Moore appeared to be running one-on-one drills when he got tangled up with safety Nazeeh Johnson on the way to the ground. Moore came up limping after the play and did not return to the field. Twitter has been filled with highlights of Moore's performance throughout training camp, so hopefully, this is a short-term thing. We'll report back with any additional information on Moore's status, but the fact that he walked off under his own power is an encouraging sign.
  12. He did not say he is an alcoholic. He used his drinking, weight and lifestyle as an excuse for SUCKING. Now he is going to be ALL-IN. Well I hope so.
  13. Clark may join Hitchens next off season with no offers. Nobody will deal for his 15 million salary this year.
  14. Yes. Too bad its a pathetic Clark comparison though.
  15. I think sacks are the major focus of most including the so called experts. Knocking down a pass, defending the edge and playing the rush as important. Yes KC needs pass rush and all of the other things too. AFC West will not see homefield advantage anytime soon. These teams will keep beating each other including KC. I see Chiefs 3-3 against the west.
  16. Throughout his career, Dunlap has always been one to get a hand on a pass; he has 69 career passes defended. Last season, he batted six passes, according to PFF. It was the third-most among all defensive linemen. On the Chiefs, Chris Jones had five — but no other rusher had more than two; Clark had zero. This phase of Dunlap’s game can be attributed to good effort and sound awareness. Dunlap understands the unique advantage he has at his size, so he’s constantly active in throwing lanes — always throwing his hands up once he notices the quarterback winding up towards his direction. How he fits with the Chiefs In Kansas City, Dunlap will be penetrating a rotation at defensive end that is headed by Clark, rookie George Karlaftis, and Mike Danna. It’s not likely that he’s a starter if everyone’s healthy, but he should be able to eat a good chunk of snaps in either phase of the game. Think about former Chief Alex Okafor; last season, he played 41% of the team’s snaps. That’s likely on the higher side of an expectation for how much Dunlap will play, but he should be a much more impactful player on those snaps than Okafor was, especially in 2021.
  17. Thanks. I dont think Sacks are the only measure although no doubt KC has a huge sack need.
  18. Dunlap Signed. Excellent. Honest question for discussion. Is Dunlap better than Ingram? Just want to get an idea of how he fits best.
  19. Chiefs activated Clyde Edwards-Helaire from active/PUP list. The Athletic's Nate Taylor recently reported that Edwards-Helaire could be activated in the "next few days." That came quickly, as CEH was activated ahead of the first day of training camp and practicing with the team on Wednesday. Facing competition from free-agent signee Ronald Jones and Jerick McKinnon, CEH's quick return is an encouraging sign for the former first-round pick and fantasy drafters.
  20. Pete Sweeney @pgsween I noticed a left-leg compression sleeve on RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire, who was on the PUP as of yesterday. He’s done everything so far on this Wednesday. More to come.
  21. Yep. You can only play and scheme with the players you are given. I think Hitchens is still a free agent.
