  1. I think they can franchise him again? If not I continue to see KC trade him , next off season, and sign a serviceable free agent or trade for a more affordable guy.
  2. I am so not surprised. Now we know why Balt dealt this guy. My dad this and that is BS.
  3. Portner. These athletes? He has one client. Ha Ha Ha. Im not going to let? Does he own his clients? LOL
  4. Im confident he has a plan B. Thuney is a short term solution. He has played LT before.
  5. Could also go down. He has a lot to prove. I think even if he gets paid he will not stay motivated and will be a Frank Clark type of player. Of course I hope he is the next ROAF. Im not rooting against the guy. Just needs to show a lot more.
  6. Not to mention you hire a non experienced agent. Brown is a BS artist.
  7. I think KC can also tag him next year. Not sure he has as much leverage as he thinks. This guy is a BS message guy. It has and will always be about THE MONEY. I still say trade him this off season. Many teams win with an average LT. Mahomes can adjust. I think Veach will find a way to get a reasonable LT if needed. That is what he does.
  8. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports the Chiefs continue to discuss a long-term agreement with unsigned franchise player Orlando Brown. However, Fowler confirms it is "not looking good." NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reported Tuesday the sides were "nowhere close." The deadline is Friday 7/15 at 4:00 PM ET. The fact there is any engagement at all means an 11th hour accord could be reached, but we have not see anything to make us believe that is the most likely outcome. Unlike tight ends Dalton Schultz and Mike Gesicki, Brown has yet to sign his one-year tender, so he would not be required to report for the start of training camp later this month.
  9. Joe Thuney Our friend Daniel Harms was quick to bring up Joe Thuney’s name shortly after the news broke about the contract impasse and for good reason. The Chiefs have already watched Thuney play very well at the left tackle position in his one year with the team If you remember the Chiefs’ regular-season matchup with the Cincinnati Bengals from last year, then you might remember the odd series of injuries that plagued the left tackle position. Brown left during warmups and was replaced by Lucas Niang only to see him leave with a patellar injury before the first quarter was even over. From there, the Chiefs slid Thuney from left guard and watched him play very well against Cincinnati’s edge rushers. Thuney came to K.C. with the versatility to play outside as well as further inside at center, which he did for the New England Patriots in 2021, which only enhances his value to this team going forward. If there’s a short-term need for someone who can step in and provide quality veteran play, Thuney can be that guy and the Chiefs know it.
  10. AFCWEST: I have predicted this a few times. I see Brown gone next season. Its just a prediction. Trade him this offseason and sign a reasonable replacement. You cant pay everyone the TOP DOLLAR NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports the Chiefs and LT Orlando Brown are "nowhere close on a deal." Garafolo added that he doesn't expect Brown to show up for training camp if a deal isn't reached. He even questioned if Brown would be on the field for Week 1. The stud left tackle was assigned the franchise tag this spring but still hasn't signed it. He is looking for top-end left tackle money while the Chiefs want to pay him in line with the league's best right tackles. The difference between those two values could be as much as $5 million per year. If a contract extension isn't reached by Friday, Brown will be forced to play on the franchise tag this year. Holdouts that drag into the regular season are a rare sight in the NFL, but it's not a guarantee that Brown is available for the opening week of the season. If that happens, Patrick Mahomes could face extra pressure from the Arizona pass-rush.
  11. New play. Sneak in the long snapper. Mahomes at punter depth. Play is go deep. Would need to be on Chiefs side of the field. LOL
  12. Rogers- Mahomes Hope so. I think I read this guy has the drops?
  13. Nope. Kelce is still a playmaker. Plenty of weapons. If only Reid will run the ball.
  14. My comment was based on trade value not what he may do this season. If put on waivers I think he would clear waivers. Teams dont value average RBs. Now I hope he kicks butt. If only Reid will run the ball. ROJO is not going to be cut.
  15. Its pre season hype time. Every draft pick will be great, all the moves are great and life is great. Until? Reality shows up. Will be interesting for sure.
  16. I think most players dont care as much about winning as they say. They are focused on their brand, bank accounts and celebrity career after football. Fans care more about winning than the majority of players. Its show me the money.
  17. Clark Not Attending. This guy is just soaking KC for more money. Contract year motivation? LOL But we are not aware of injuries (or excused absences) for Clark, Bell, Williams or Herring. We can expect that head coach Andy Reid will be asked about the status of all these players when he meets with reporters after Tuesday’s session.
  18. I like the changes in the roster. Needed refreshing. This will likely be an off year as far as wins go. Maybe 11-6 Im not sold on Reid as a top ranked safety. But what do I know? The secondary may really struggle do to lack of pass rush. If only Andy would Run The Ball and keep the D on the sidelines.
  19. I find it hard to believe anything Hill has to say. I doubt he offered a discount.
  20. So he said. Of course he knew the big money was on the left.
  21. Good points. TRUTH: We dont know what the offense will be like? Could be awesome. Difference is Mahomes is on offense and the remaining cast is really really good. Chiefs defense has no elite players other than Jones. The rest of the cast is still a work in progress. I dont have an opinion at this point whether Jones should get another big contract. The idea that KC has a Cap-whisperer is fantasy. Yes they seem to be doing a good job but numbers are real. The notion that no problem give em big bucks now , the cap will be going up, and the contract will look like a deal in a few years is also still subject to real numbers and at risk with perfomances like CLARK.
  22. Could be a train wreck without Jones. Notable vs torch-able?
