  1. Dolphins signed EDGE Melvin Ingram, formerly of the Chiefs. The Dolphins brought in Ingram for a visit before the draft, while the Chiefs applied the UFA tag to Ingram after it. No matter, the Dolphins took the leap on Ingram, who figures to rotate with Emmanuel Ogbah and Jaelan Phillips as well as play on passing downs. New DC Josh Boyer definitely has a lot of talent to work with as he tries to step out of the shadow of Brian Flores.
  2. Good points. Other backs seem to get the passing reps. That tells me CEH is not getting it or open or whatever. That was supposed to be his big asset. Im tired of hearing about Westbrook in the Reid years. Reid simply will not run the ball enough for any back to have big numbers. Thats why I hated the pick in the first place. Why use your #1 for a position the head coach does not feature? CEH will probably do better on a different team. Hate the use of the pick not the player.
  3. I dont think Gordon is seriously in the mix. He had plenty of time to show something, anything last year.
  4. Dont think CEH will bring anything in a trade. Maybe a 6 or 7. Guy has done nothing special.
  5. I think KC splits 3-3 in division games and goes 10-7. Extra road game this year. 4 of last 6 are on the road. Early bye week. That could change if KC ads more DL prior to the season. Its a transition season. Will still make the playoffs.
  6. We can agree to disagree. The new guys are no sure thing either and injuries are a certainty. KC has all average backs including CEH. I watched Williams make some big catches in big moments. The roster is 90 at this time. Plenty of room and reps available.
  7. 9 road games this year. I like just one Thursday & One Monday Game with no stupid out of country games.
  8. Yep. But Williams may still be added. He has not been signed so you never know.
  9. Season is far from starting. Guys get injured or like Pacheco are unproven. Rosters are huge at this point. No real harm bringing him back.
  10. Was KC best back last year. Good catching passes and pass blocking too. I think he is better than CEH.
  11. I think D Williams is still unsigned. KC should bring him back.
  12. Doubt you put a guy with a spinal injury on special teams unless returning kicks..
  13. Good points. I would like to see Houston back. Maybe KC will ad two guys?
  14. Any word on potential June 1st cuts? Im doing some research.
  15. Who else is available? Potential June 1st cuts? DL Akiem Hicks (Bears) EDGE Jadeveon Clowney (Browns) OL Duane Brown (Seahawks) TE Rob Gronkowski (Buccaneers) WR Odell Beckham (Rams) EDGE Melvin Ingram (Steelers) OT Eric Fisher (Colts) S Jaquiski Tartt (49ers) OT Brandon Shell. ... LB Anthony Barr. ... OL Ereck Flowers. ... G Quinton Spain. ... RB Sony Michel. ... OT Tyrell Crosby. Tim Fuller-USA TODAY Sports. CB Kevin King. (AP Photo/Jeffrey Phelps) CB Xavier Rhodes. 16. I like this guy. Akiem Hicks, DL Kansas City may also want to improve its depth on the interior of its defensive line. Chris Jones is a dominant player, and Derrick Nnadi is a solid starter. But the Chiefs could still improve the unit by bringing in one of the best available free agents still on the market. Akiem Hicks, a 10-year NFL veteran, could be a potent addition to Kansas City’s defensive line for 2022. The 32-year-old spent the past six seasons with the Chicago Bears, recording 247 tackles and 31 sacks in 77 games over that time. An ankle injury limited Hicks to nine games in 2021, but he played well when he was on the field. If he can bounce back and stay healthy for most of 2022, he could return to producing at the level he did from 2016-18, when he started every game for Chicago. If Hicks is looking for more money than the Chiefs are willing to offer, then they may want to go a more affordable route to improve their depth on the defensive line. But the longer Hicks stays available, perhaps the lower his cost could become. Kansas City should keep a close eye on his market.
  17. Giants released CB James Bradberry. Bradberry has been oft-rumored to be traded this offseason, including "imminently" at times, but a fit couldn't be found with his contract. The Chiefs, Colts, and Texans were all linked to him at one time or another, but all have since signed other corners and/or drafted corners in the first round. Bradberry turns 29 in August but is coming off a solid season and is a candidate to get a real contract even despite the late release. His former DC in New York, Patrick Graham, now runs the Vegas defense. The Giants will free up $10.1 million in cap space to allow them to sign their rookie class.
  18. The Athletic's Nick Baumgardner said Chiefs WR Justyn Ross could be a good fit the the KC offense because he "can't be overthrown." Health remains the big caveat with Ross, who led Clemson in receiving as a true freshman alongside Tee Higgins and Hunter Renfrow before he required spinal surgery in 2019 and missed the entire 2020 season with a foot injury. Ross played in 2021 despite the foot issue, catching 46 balls for 514 yards and three touchdowns. The Chiefs signed Ross as an undrafted free agent shortly after teams passed on him in the 2022 NFL Draft. He could help the Chiefs fill the downfield targets vacated by Tyreek Hill's departure. Ross will be someone to watch in training camp.
  19. Chiefs signed first-round EDGE George Karlaftis to a four-year contract. The deal will be fully guaranteed and includes a fifth-year option. Karlaftis should immediately slot into the Kansas City starting lineup a year after posting 41 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss, five sacks, three fumbles, and two pass break ups while earning second-team All-American recognition at Purdue. Pro Football Focus in 2021 graded KC's pass rush as the 19th best in the NFL.
  20. Rookies are unproven and 3 safties are one injury , or police arrest, away from no depth. I dont see KC trading any dbs. All those rookies wont make the team and may some may end up on the Practice Squad.
  21. Would not show anything except adding another quality DB. New guys are no sure thing. They all look good on college video but that is college. This would be insurance. I dont think LKC gets in the game on this guy. Someone will give him a big multi year contract. The Raiders are so good at complete over pay.
  22. I was thinking the same thing. Another AFC West team signs him. Hope not.
  23. NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reports the Chiefs are expected to begin contract negotiations with LT Orlando Brown. Brown is currently on the franchise tag for the 2022 season. The tag will cost $16.7 million this year and leaves Brown as a free agent next offseason. With Brown anchoring the left side of Patrick Mahomes' offensive line, there's no way the Chiefs let him hit the open market. All signs point to the two sides reaching an agreement sooner rather than later. Pro Football Focus ranked Brown as their No. 28 offensive tackle last year.
  24. Giants GM Joe Schoen said the team will have a resolution on CB James Bradberry by the end of the week. This almost certainly means the Giants are cutting Bradberry. The veteran corner has been the subject of trade rumors throughout the offseason, but it has become clear to Schoen that there are no takers. New York will save $10.1 million in cap space if they ultimately cut him at the end of the week. The decision to move on from Bradberry is a financial one, as he was still playing at a high level in 2021. Bradberry logged 17 pass defenses and four interceptions last season.
