  1. Chargers are almost 70 million under the cap. Chiefs will need a few of these low risk guys to work out. No harm in bringing guys in. I would thing he is on a very short leash.
  2. Chiefs signed CB Damon Arnette to a reserve/future contract. The 2020 mega-bust failed to land a futures deal with the Dolphins after joining the practice squad in December, but one of his former division rivals is giving him a second chance after the Raiders cut him in November. Arnette was waived for posting a disturbing video on social media, but his awful play on the field was why the Raiders were willing to cut ties instead of giving Arnette the second and third chances former first-rounders typically get. Slow (4.56) and extremely old (24) for a first-round corner at the time of his drafting, Arnette's selection was widely first guessed. It is difficult to see him cracking the Chiefs' 53-man roster this summer.
  3. Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Willie Gay Jr. was reportedly arrested in connection with misdemeanor criminal damages. On Wednesday night, at 10:30 p.m. Gay was arrested and booked into the Johnson County Detention Center (which is in Kansas), where he remained Thursday morning awaiting bond. According to reports, Gay caused physical damage to objects totaling less than $1000 during an argument, including a vacuum, wall, door frame, humidifier, and cell phone screen. As more details have been released, we now know that Gay was charged with what is classified as a domestic violence incident. Thankfully, it appears no injury to a person occurred. He was visiting his son at the time and got into an argument with his son’s mother.
  4. The Kansas City Chiefs were back at practice for another round on Thursday as they prepare to host the visiting Buffalo Bills on Sunday night in the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs. Unfortunately, they are still without a couple of key players to injuries as they hope to rest and recover in time for the game. Both cornerback Rashad Fenton and running back Darrel Williams were missing from practice for a second straight day on Thursday, creating some very real concerns about the availability of both heading into the weekend.
  5. Team with the best pass rush will win. Hope its KC.
  6. It had to be a bit more than that. KMBC News reported Chiefs LB Willie Gay was arrested for misdemeanor property damage around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday night. The complaint lists this as a class B non-person misdemeanor, labeling it a domestic violence offense for criminal damage of less than $1,000. Gay is currently being held in the Johnson County Jail and is scheduled for arraignment at 2:30 p.m. Thursday. Kansas City's starting linebacker, it's unclear if this arrest will keep Gay sidelined for Sunday night's Divisional Round.
  7. He will be playing catch up. Maybe better #s but a loss just the same. Garbage time stats do not win play off games.
  8. Not over reacting. I doubt the Chiefs think BFD. Also not a good example for others. Its play off time. I hope the leaders on this team chew some ass.
  9. So its ok to do this during a play off one and done week? Does character count? Is this a team first guy? Hope is is ready to play. Chiefs need his talent.
  10. This guy has some issues. Maybe this is why he is not starting?
  11. I think Gay is the player that struggles with some mental issues? Maybe he was not ready for a large role?
  12. I think its awesome but the Mahomes ERA starts with when Mahomes started playing. I think 400 will be a much more common achievement going forward. Lets see how Herbert, Burrow and some of the other top young guys do.
  13. It still will not matter to me. The game is completely different today. Rules, challenges, official reviews and all the other BS makes it so much easier to put up numbers. Im sure Herbert and several others will put up 400 plus games at record pace. Hey Mahomes is an amazing elite guy no doubt.
  14. Yes my bad you are correct. Still: If those guys played in todays game they would have a lot more 400+ games in their careers. All those stat comparisons are not apples to apples.
  15. McKinnon is what the Chiefs thought CEH was. He simply has not proven he can do what a guy off the street , McKinnon, can do. Its always been there and CEH is the reason it was not working. He seems to have no space awareness. The main problem with CEH is he is taking reps from others who are more effective. Chiefs need to sit him for now.
  16. Nobody will want CEH. He is average at best. 20 guys like him will be free agents. Two years and nothing to show for it.
  17. Some look at each mistake although Kelce has probably made just as many this year. The guy is a weapon and also stretched the field. Hes not a number one guy or even a number two receiver. He is a weapon none the less. What KC really needs is a guy like Mike Williams. A big guy not named GORDON or the other big guys KC has tried to resurrect from the dead.
  18. Hardman is a weapon. Haters may want to take another look. Hardman has taken the next step For quite some time, Chiefs Kingdom has been waiting for Mecole Hardman to develop as a wide receiver into the sort of target that lives up to being a former second-round pick—as if there’s a magic threshold for him to reach in order to justify a draft standing. While the player and the team are likely so far removed from any worries about such things, Hardman’s ceiling has been a legitimate talking point for the last couple of seasons and we’ve all hoped he’d turn the corner this year to step up in Sammy Watkins‘ absence. While it’s still a small stretch or sample size, the truth is that Hardman is looking more potent with the football and more consistent in his production than ever before over the last couple of weeks. On Sunday, he caught all 4 of his targets for 43 yards. He also added 70 yards on three punt returns to provide exceptional field position given his special teams play. Remember that Hardman was coming off of a breakout game of 8 catches for 103 receiving yards (his first game over 100) against the Denver Broncos in Week 18 of the regular season. Hardman’s speed is just another weapon for which defenses must account and that’s a near impossible task given that team’s overall arsenal.
  19. This game would be different if Pitts had a decent QB. Chiefs corners getting beat all game with Ben missing throws to open guys downfield.
  20. I dont care about tomorrow. Got to win today and so far he has got it done.
  21. Point is he did not. IHe is like the #4 guy. Big Game so far.
