  1. Andy is a fantastic leader of me too.
  2. Thanks Rob. Thanks everyone who has donated so far. Let's keep the lights on peeps.
  3. I mean, he actually had 8 in college. Last 2 years were injury marred but had 8 sacks prior to RSJ year.
  4. I can't hear about groin injuries now without thinking of this
  5. Side note to the side node, Fenton has missed 2 games in 2 years and is one of our most consistently good players on D. Don't think it's that time.
  6. Cincinnati game could have also easily been won with the short to intermediate passing game which was pretty meh last year but looks to be a strength this year.
  7. That will take time/experience for Pacheco. Vision is not his problem. He quickly diagnosed holes in college. His problem is his college team was so bad at blocking they forced him to learn to hit the first hole he sees. Now that he has a real line he just has to learn the patience to let things develop. Knowing when to hit the first thing you see or when to wait for the play to develop takes experience. Some guys get that in college. He did not.
  8. He was a UDFA for a reason. Potential has to turn to consistent production before he's ready for primetime. I just don't think that's gonna happen this soon.
  9. Some observations: Nick Bolton was blowing up plays before they had a chance to develop. Kid has improved in coverage over where he left off last year. That's 2 huge steps from where he started for those keeping score. Khalen Saunders looks great. Their blockers really struggled with him. That's 2 games in a row he looked good, also for those keeping score. He needs to stay healthy though, which has been his problem. Karlaftis looks primed for a good year. Sack last week was vs backups. This one was vs starters and they double teamed him with a T/G. What an effort. He's got some Tamba Hali dog in him. D Line has some juice. Clark looks faster and more explosive (though like Saunders must stay available). That's 2 OLines in a row they took it to, this time with no CJ. The young secondary overall seems better than they have any right to be at this point. 4 of the 5 have a very real chance to be strong contributors. That seems unlikely at best yet here we are. I have to think they'll have some struggles in regular season. Chenal will be a beast. Probably limited snaps this year (barring injury of course) while he figures out how to cover but he just makes plays every time they put him in. That late holding call was a guy trying to block chenal's neck. Elijah Lee looks fine to hold down the fort. Hopefully Chenal gets some opportunities later in the year like Bolton did last year. The offense remains good and Mahomes did not forgot how to play. Looks like they figured out the drop schemes plaguing them last year. May take a bit for the receivers to get on same page consistently on long passes from mahomes but they'll still have a ton of splash plays.
  10. He was also playing vs backups and had some guys with him that will play on Sundays, including receivers.
  11. Meh. I think the D is what was really costing us games. And of course the 2020 offensive line backups. Have we had the best running game? Obviously not. But when you're still top 5 in most offensive metrics year over year you're doing OK on that side of the ball. Best D finish was 18. We won the superbowl with that.
  12. Nnadi is a solid space eater. Mostly just solid, nothing special but that's usually fine for a NT. I am interested to see what Shelton is able to do.
  13. Just make sure you email your ballot to Veach before the deadline. Roster voting ends soon.
  14. Nor should he right now. You still comfortable with "3 points Boo-shell" as the backup? Cause I'm not.
  15. I think it's gotta be Pacheco. I was super hyped when we drafted him as he was one of my favorite running backs in the draft. So it's not that I don't think he'll be good, however we pass a ton and the backfield is crowded so I don't see him getting enough touches to really break out unless it's due to injuries in the RB room.
  16. He started taking reps with the 1s again as soon as he was back. Same for fenton.
  17. Yeah you may be right about mahomes year 1 but I do believe he accelerated his learning curve by doing it that way.
  18. Yes we are. If a team is showcasing a guy for trade or release they get more than 6 snaps in the first preseason game. That's also why we know Pacheco is in for good snaps this year after barely playing in game 1. Pacheco was 2nd up in RB snaps this week after getting 3rd or 4th snaps the last few.
  19. You take the wrong lessons from training camp. Individual plays don't tell you shit. Usually guys are working on new techniques and figuring stuff out, you know, in practice. It's more about the overall body of work and both of those guys have looked improved so far. That's why it didn't really matter when Mahomes was throwing all those Ints in 2018 camp. Bet you were one of those freaking out at the time though.
