  1. Ben Rapelisburger raped someone and will be first ballot. Where AB will have problems is the on field stiff, such as quitting on the Bucs in a game, which will be brought up.
  2. I think I missed the Chicago thing. I personally would not trade for Quinn. He's fools gold and due for regression. His pressure rate was actually lower than Frank Clarks', which suggest he won't repeat that (high pressure rate year over year is more indicative of a consistent sack artist, whereas low pressure high sacks almost always regresses to the mean, and is usually not reproducable year over year). You'd be buying high on an old pass rusher who's very close to showing his age. Check through his career and you'll see he's as likely to produce a low sack year as a high one. Me no likey.
  3. Sorry I lost track of all your trade scenarios and thought we were talking bout OBJ even though now that i look it was clearly hardman. My bad. Carry on.
  4. 2nd franchise or transition tag next year. Work out a contract that works for both sides. Take out a large insurance policy and have him murdered? That one's probably a little extreme.
  5. I mean, those aren't the only 2 options.
  6. Tangentially Chiefs related since they talk about kelce and mahomes.
  7. Why not throw in Chris Jones and our next 2 first round picks since we're looking to just give away valuable assets.
  8. Different situations. Selectors have been quoted off the record saying there was a block of about 10 voters, enough to keep him from getting to the 80% mark needed, who felt he was a locker room cancer and when he could still play nobody wanted him for that reason. Whether true or not, that was the perception. Anything related to the NFL can be considered, including locker room stuff. If you even bring up non NFL related stuff you can lose your vote.
  9. How many jobs have you had? If you say more than 1, evidently you are a whore as well.
  10. BTW just so we're clear, NFL HOF voters are not even allowed to bring up off the field issues, unlike baseball. They can't even discuss it or consider it in the meeting.
  11. This. This opportunity was not coming around for tyreek again. And I don't really care to hear the rah rah team argument. Teams have very little loyalty to most players. If someone offers to double your salary, take it dumbass. The free market decides what anyone is worth. Don't like it, be worth more.
  12. Guess that was a flip answer. The more nuanced version is it depends on what he does in Miami. If he's even close to what he was for us I think he'll seal it. If Tua turns him into a possession receiver he's fucked. HOF voters love to vote for big play receivers and hate voting for possession receivers. If Tua and Tyreek tank his career he's either a longshot at that point or he'll have to wait a bunch of years. But big play guys with 3 or more all pro years usually get in eventually. Not sure how they'll weigh the first all pro year though. As Jalen Ramsey reminded Reek, it was for special teams.
  13. If he'd have pulled it out this thread wouldn't exist
  14. To elaborate, teams started dropping guys back to cut off lanes, then the playbook was basically double reek and kelce and single press the other receivers and none of the tertiary guys could consistently get open. If we had even 1 guy that could make em pay for doing that we'd have been fine (think Sammy in the games he did well). Now the new guys are gonna have to prove it or teams will triple team kelce. I do believe we now have the horses to make em pay but who nows how long it will take em all to get comfortable in the system.
  15. Couldn't get off press consistently
  16. With how good tyreek was at every level of the field, having 5 games with 5 or fewer targets is bit of a failure now matter how you slice it. Our big mistake though was not having that reliable 3rd receiving option to make teams pay for doubling Hill and Kelce this past year.
