  1. We got 2nd and 3rd tier guys out the wazoo. If we go that route it's just cause that's all we could pry loose.
  2. Yeah they pretty much let him pick his destination. His family is from the area as well.
  3. They already knew what Miami was offering and kc already said they would have accepted Jets offer if tyreek wanted to go there. They offered two 2nds and a 3rd.
  4. If the Jets didn't offer 10 for tyreek there is zero chance they offered it for Metcalf. Remember initial reports said they were offering us a 1st til it came out that was bogus.
  5. I would definitely do that. Green Bay might be pissed though since 28 is their pick.
  6. Quantity is great. Gets you a nice mediocre record. Nobody says we should give away all our picks or trade up to top 10.
  7. I think I been pounding that drum for a while now. Agree with this. Quality over quantity.
  8. 3 safety look is base nickel for us, which means it's basically our base defense. With HB being so versatile and able to play nickel corner as well, I don't see snap counts as an issue. You could also have Reid playing the big nickel role with HB and Juan in the 2 deep. Lots of options with HB.
  9. The reason is he was missing assignments when he did play. Watts wasn't on the field enough for the fanbase to realize or hate him for it but with more snaps I suspect that's what would have happened.
  10. Few reasons imo: He did not look the same last year There were reports he had offers but did not like them and figured he could wait it out til he got one he likes This is likely his last decent contract so there's no rush on his end. Worst case scenario is he signs a contract similar to what he's already being offered. If he waits til after the draft he can see who got a safety and his market will be more clear.
  11. Punt God is in the draft this year from SDSU. Just saying. On the other hand, "don't draft no stinkin kicker" is probably still a saying around here.
  12. This is correct. Those that follow analytics have know this for years. Sack rates fluctuate greatly year over year however pressure percentage typically does not fluctuate nearly as badly and is a better indicator of a defenders ability to affect games. Fwiw defensive back performance also fluctuates greatly year over year.
  13. Williams over Olave all day. Not that I don't like Olave but Jameson is different. I would be thrilled with Olave but Jameson is built for this offense. Really like him too. Don't think he's there at 50. Fans are gonna have to be a bit patient with him though as he's gotta learn to run routes.
  14. A chance to lose. Unless it's situational football, if you're running the ball that much you've already lost. You're definitely not winning a superbowl vs the elite passing attacks.
  15. Not as simple as that. Different rules in his early days. You could win a superbowl with running game and defense still. But that wasnt all he had later as the rules started to change. His best years he had Randy Moss, then Welker who was a great receiver who doesn't get his due + the Gronk/Murderhobo TE duo, and then more recently with Tampa's stud receivers + Gronk. Guess we could always follow the blueprint and try and cheat our way to a superbowl but probably better to use an A+ receiving game.
  16. That's one of the best things about Jameson. I don't think you need to trade up as high so u keep the other 1st. Hell I'd love to trade up and take a top DE but they don't all fit our system and I think the guys that do will go quick.
  17. Oh I like Olave as well. That said, Williams is the best router runner of the 3 and has an extra gear that the others lack. Not that they're slow obviously, but they're not in the same speed class as Jameson. With our QB there's extra value to a guy that can hit the speed that Jameson has. He's a guy that brings gravity to the field similar to tyreek. I would be thrilled with Olave though. I wanted him last year.
