  1. You don't have to have a ton of speed to be an effective RB in this offense. Part of the problem is Andy loves outside zone but McKinnon seems to be the only RB on the roster who can threaten the edge. Solution is to play to our strengths and that can be fixed with more reps for the entire offense in gap runs and through playcalling. But yeah I'd like to see McKinnon get more carries. Not necessarily carry the load but be a big part of the gameplan. He certainly does bring a dimension the other RBs don't.
  2. You can't teach speed. Just shows me we need a speed back in that RB room no matter how we get him. Great pickup by Veach.
  3. I mean he just had some big plays the last game. Even though I'ma go smack him if he carries the ball like that again.
  4. Meh like any play when it works he's a genius and when it doesn't, the playcall sucks. It works more often than not. Not sure why you think we can't do that and stay in a game when we've proven over and over we absolutely can give points to a good team and stay in it. All of the 2019 playoffs come to mind.
  5. McKinnon also has 2 ACL tears in his history and put 2 years in IR.
  6. McKinnon was great at running the outside zone runs Andy likes. CEH and Williams both better on gap plays. OBJ and Trey Smith both better at gap blocking. Thuney can do both but better zone blocker. Creed can do both very well. Wylie also plays for the Chiefs.
  7. Trounced the Stillers, sent Fatguy McRapeface to retirement with the L, and a fat guy touchdown. What more can you ask for?
  8. Best guy. Not best RB. The numbers don't lie and he didn't play long enough to tell anyway
  9. New one. There's more I missed on the YouTubes
  10. Rather have an X receiver that consistently dominates and scares teams into loosening up. That opens up a lot of stuff, as we've seem in the past.
  11. 3 total over 3 years if both poles and EB go
  12. Veach is a Sorcerer and can pull good players out of thin air, so I'll take the wins vs the extra picks.
  13. I think we'll have to agree to disagree. I think he is a great player already and still ascending. I actually had questions about his feet when we traded for him. I just hadn't watched enough of him to realize he's so goddamn long amd freakishly strong it usually doesn't matter. Seriously if he so much as gets 1 hand on a guy the rep is done. He's also a smarter player than I realized. Really sets guys up well.
  14. I mean, it always looks ugly with OBJ but this is simply not true. He has a career pass block win rate around 90%, which is top 10 since he's been in the league. Even with his early struggles as he adjusted to a new system and has been working new techniques, he's right up there this year. Sure he'll give one up here and there (most tackles do, even great ones) but for the most part, since the first quarter of the season he's been good to great in most games. Again it may look ugly but there's no question it's effective. If you isolate on him in coaches tape he wins on the regular. Once he gets his hands on a guy the rep is essentially over.
  15. most teams select the bottom of the roster with ST play in mind. That's how modern rosters are constructed.
