The difference is Mayfield has held up really well against speed rushers and has the movement skills to hold up on an island on the edge. Those other two have not and have needed help. Andy's entire scheme is dependent on being able to leave his tackles on an island and give help on the inside. Mayfield fits that perfectly. I think he can play any position but center for us.
I think Jackson Carmen is a guard only for us. I don't think he can hold up on the outside versus speed with our longer developing plays. Same with Leatherwood. Both would be really good on the inside for us though.
Mayfield would be great but he'll take some development and I think he'll be viewed at the tail end of the tier 1 tackles so that means he's probably gone.
Jenkins would be a good pick, and can play tackle or guard in our system. Doubt he's there with who's picking ahead of us, but you never know. The depth of this tackle class could push some of these tier 2 tackles like Jenkins down the board as teams may look at day 2 for line options.
You would prefer GEHA Stadium?
Gotta pay for Patrick brah, let the marketing guys do their thing. Personally I think that's a great compromise idea for naming rights without having to change the Stadium name.
Wouldn't be so sure of that on either player, depending on injury. Lots of tackles play well even into their mid to late 30's.
I mean, I don't disagree but the Chiefs may see it otherwise.
There's going to be much less consensus on draft prospects this year due to the craziness. With no combine and limited access to teams I would not put much stock in who the internet Drafterati has ranked and where. Gonna get wacky this year. Teams are gonna have guys ranked all over the place, much more than usual.
