  1. Yeah I did not like that play call or the execution.
  2. The bad news is we tend to play down to the level of competition and get bored easily. The good news is we tend to also play up to the level of competition and show up big in big games. Everyone in the playoffs will have our full attention, which you cannot always say about regular season games.
  3. MVP: Mahomes obviously best player but A-A-Ron will pull it out, especially with the extra game OPOY: Kelce OROY: Herbert DPOY: Donald probably DROY: Chase Young Comeback Player OY: Alex COY: Flores
  4. I think you have that backwards. The trick plays have worked more than they haven't and sometimes Andy runs a play just to put it on tape for an upcoming opponent so he can run something else on it.
  5. I don't think the saints can afford to trade Thomas anyway. Just dead cap charge alone would be 4m+ over keeping him. Reminder he's early in a nearly 100mil contract.
  6. 2 things can be true. 1) KC is a phenomenal team and has shown to be tough as nails. 7 straight wins like that is not a fluke. They are the best team in the league and a better team than they were a year ago when they won the dang superbowl. 2) KC has some very real issues not the least of which is our Oline has serious problems. Also, the unknown of how sustainable winning like this is in the playoffs when the teams get better. Nobody's really done it. That said nobody came back from double digits deficits in 3 straight playoff games. Hardly anybody ever gets better after a superbowl run. Nobody beats this many 10 win teams along the way. And most definitely nobody does this... So who knows. Shit to love. Shit to bitch about. Enjoy the ride i guess. KC gave us some stuff to argue about for a few weeks.
  7. I'd rather bundle some picks to move up in the first than trade for Thomas if we really wanted another weapon. Be much much cheaper on the salary. Kyle Pitts would look pretty dang good in our offense for instance and might be had in the late teens. Just sayin IF that's where we wanted to go, not necessarily what I would do. Could still invest in Oline and elsewhere.
  8. Mahomes played like an MVP* today. * Steve McNair circa 2010
  9. Yep. Jags are ready for the rebuild. Shed their unwieldy cap hits already. They have the picks (2 ones, 2 twos and 2 fours) and nearly 80 mil in cap space even with the reduced cap next year. If they get the right GM/coach team in there they could do some damage in a few years. That last part is probably where they'll inevitably screw it up.
  10. Holy schnikes, this angle on the Mecole TD. They had the difficulty setting cranked up to Nightmare.
  11. Sure. He can't average 29 points per game and go undefeated against nine top 5 defenses.
  12. It was. It's 2 for a head coach you develop. Or a GM. But 3 if you lose both in the same year.
  13. https://www.nfl.com/news/nfl-execs-vote-on-awards-who-s-mvp-coach-of-the-year NFL execs vote on awards: Who's MVP? Coach of the Year? Published: Dec 23, 2020 at 12:35 PM Tom Pelissero NFL.com My annual early awards survey this year was completed this week by high-ranking executives from 22 NFL teams, including nine general managers. All 22 individuals participated on the condition of anonymity for competitive reasons and to provide an honest assessment. Who are the big winners in six notable categories? Here's a rundown, with help from statistics compiled by NFL Media researcher Brandon Mendoza: Most Valuable Player: Patrick Mahomes, QB, Kansas City Chiefs It's a two-man race in many executives' minds, but the final tally wasn't close: The Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes received 13 votes, beating out the Packers' Aaron Rodgers (six votes). "You can't stop him," an executive for an NFC team said of Mahomes, who won the MVP award two years ago. "He is the hardest player to stop in the league. Rodgers is right there. But this guy (Mahomes) -- he makes the unique look routine. He's unbelievable." Mahomes' 2020 campaign is just the fifth instance in NFL history of a QB posting at least 13 wins, 35 touchdown passes and fewer than 10 interceptions in a season; the other players to accomplish the feat (Tom Brady in 2007 and 2010, Rodgers in 2011 and Lamar Jackson last season) won the MVP award after those historic performances. Rodgers leads the NFL with 40 touchdown passes and a 118.0 passer rating, but Mahomes leads the league in passing yards (4,462) for the 13-1 Chiefs, who have played a tougher schedule based on opponent win percentage, particularly on the road. Mahomes arguably has better weapons overall, but multiple executives pointed out Rodgers' offensive line is better. And as one exec for an AFC team put it in giving Mahomes the nod: "He's just probably capable of a little more freaky s---." Bills quarterback Josh Allen received two votes. Titans running back Derrick Henry got one. The Chiefs have now faced a top-five defense on nine occasions with Patrick Mahomes as their starter, per @EliasSports. In those games, they are 9-0 and averaging 29.0 points per game. Pretty decent.
  14. EB is a good coach and leader in Kansas City who we will miss and I wish him well. I hope he lands with a good franchise, preferably in the NFC. EB is a giant cheating asshole who broke Tiny xen's heart in the 5th down game and I hope he rots in football hell. Two things can be true.
  15. How did HR get involved??? Oh wait. Saints receivers must have made a harassment complaint against Sneed.
  16. Kewl. I wonder how many points we averaged? Guess we'll never know.
  17. Does anyone know how many games Mahomes has won against top 5 defenses though?
